I was saddened to find out that Ernie Harwell, the voice of Tiger baseball, passed away today. I have so many happy memories of listening to him call the games. He will be missed!

Rain, rain, rain. Whew!

Today my Dad would have been 70 years old. We were planning to take my Mom out tonight, but Elizabeth is still sick, and it's raining too much. We'll try to do something this weekend with her. Miss you, Daddy.

This saddened me as well. Although he lived to the ripe age of 92, the voice of the Tigers - and baseball to me - will be greatly missed.

Just popping in before bed, relaxing doing a few posts watching a sort of Christmasy movie Gremlins. One of my all-time favorites! It has been a long hectic day for me. Did another weigh in today I now have lost a total of 8 lbs, I am shocked and happy how fast I have lost that weight.

Early Signs of Christmas 2010

• Singer Mariah Carey is back in the studio to record her first Christmas album since 1994. The last one sold over 12 million copies.

• The Carolina Christmas Show 2010 has now been scheduled. Over 350 exhibitors will be there at the Raleigh Convention Center.

• It will be Christmas in July at the original Christmas Story house in Cleveland, Ohio. Actor Ian Petrella, who played Ralphie's little brother in that movie, will be hosting tours that month and August.

Our friends from the city are coming to visit today! Being car-less makes it hard to visit and we've both been busy selling our houses so we are SO EXCITED to see them today!!! It's Jude's best bud and my very close friend so it should be fun!!

Good Morning everyone... the girls had a softball game last night. Offically the game ended in a tie but unoffically they won 6 - 0. We have another game tonight and Friday night. Not much else going on here besides softball and work this week.
