I just wanted to say goodnight to my MMC Family. For once, I am tired AND relaxed. Tomorrow (Sunday) starts my work week. I am at last breathing well and drowsy. I hope all have a safe and peaceful night. I have cataract surgery on Thursday this week so any prayers will be gladly accepted. It is a minor surgery and I am on the young side for it but still a little apprehensive.

Have a great evening everyone !!

:tree:
I am glad you are breathing better. I will say a prayer for you regarding your surgery.

In the hospital tonight, keeping watch over Mom. She has been in the hospital seven of the last nine weeks -- a tough stretch. She is afraid to fall asleep but I promised her I would stay awake and listen to see that she is still breathing. I'm pleased to say that Mom still has the same snore I remember from when I was a child and it gives me a measure of comfort here tonight.
I will be praying! That brought tears to my eyes mentioning how comforting it is to hear her snore. I think of that about snoring, you can either be irritated by it or thankful you hear it. I choose to be thankful when I hear my husband snore. I am glad he is here beside me.

Take care and let us know how your mom is doing.

I would love to take a train trip out to see my sister in seattle. When I helped move her and my brother in law out I looked in to taking one back and it was a 5 day trip. I didn't have that kind of time right then. I would still love to do it though. So I have thought about maybe taking one out and then staying for a week and then flying home.
If you ever decide to take a train trip and have any questions at all, feel free to message me. I love talking about trains! If you have to travel overnight, it is well worth it to get a bedroom onboard the train versus going coach. I traveled a lot by train in the 90's all across the U.S.A. This is my first trip on one since 2001.

Good sunday morning!!!!!! I still have all that catching up to do today. After dinner friday night I layed down on the couch and fell asleep. Yesterday morning I managed to get on adn do some reading but then my sister called and asked if I was going to come back down to the park. We have some family friends that live close to there and they were coming over to visit. Since the park is only 72 miles away I ran back down there and helped my sister pack everything up because they had to be out their cabin by 11am. Then we met our friends at one of the picinic areas and spent the day talking about how life has been treating everyone. We left shortly after dinner to head home. Then last night we all went out to my cousins house because her town was putting off fireworks. It was a pretty fun day and a great way to mark the half way to christmas milestone. Today is going to be a day of cleaning. I have alot of laundry to do. I will also try to kick back and watch some of the nascar race. When I woke up this morning the left side of my face is all swollen. I am not in pain anywhere so I am not sure what is causing it. I took some benadryl thinking it might be a reaction to something. If it gets worse though I might end up at the ER before the end of the day. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom loves it to. My grandpa use to work for the railroad so they got to travel really cheap. My mom and aunt were both born in Pennsyalvia and lived there until the first grade. Then my grandpa moved out to Indiana for a better job with the railroad. So my grandma, mom, and aunt use to take the railroad back to Pennsylvania all the time to go see all the family. Mom says she will never take the railroad all the way out to my sisters because she doesn't like heights and going over some of those mountains would scare her to death. She said she would much rather fly and get it over with in 4 hours instead of 5 days. I personally want to go just to see the all the scenery.

That is great that your grandpa worked for the railroad and nice that your mom got to travel for a bargain. The train is like a "land cruise" for me. I have been on a cruise before to the Bahamas but I love traveling by train much more! The cruise was nice but the only scenery you get the whole time is water. Nothing wrong with that but on a train you see so much more and it travels in areas that cars don't travel. The time we took the train through Colorado was spectacular! You mentioned your mom don't like the heights through the mountains but will fly? I am terrified of flying because it goes much higher than the mountains! Yikes! Lol! But I do know of someone that is more scared of trains than flying so I guess it's just a difference in what people like. cheesy I will fly if I have to but I just don't like it one bit.

Good morning Everyone...

We all had a great time at the family reunion picinic yesterday - 4 generations of family. Not everyone could make it as hubby's family is scattered all over but there were 60+ in attendance yesterday. Lot of old photos, stories and food to be shared.

This morning the kids and I all wake up with head colds. There goes my list of things I wanted to get done today... Oh well looks like dust and the clutter's stay just got extended for a bit longer. Maybe the kids and I will curl up on the sofa together and watch a Christmas movie...

Speaking of Christmas.... as we continue our downward decent...
Days untill the start of the season - 139
Days untill Christmas day - 181

Have a great day!

caninemom and Jeff.....will be thinking and praying for you both.

Made, hope you get better friend! Race today might be good to watch seeing as how they are all mad at each other.

Well, got more yardwork to do outside today, but I will not go out until late this afternoon because I want to watch the race and that will give it time to cool down. About to head to the store to get some groceries for the week and begin tonights meal.

Well, I'm closing in on 2,000 posts! Thinking about staying around until I get it. What does everybody have planned for the 4th?

Congrats on the almost 2,000 posts! I'm planning on going home for the 4th, my dad recently retired, so we're combining our annual cookout & having a retirement party for him! I'm so ready I could pack my bags right now LOL!

Hi, fellow MMCer's,

We pulled off the surprise party yesterday, my father in law was very surprised and happy. We were exhausted, after everyone left, but we went out to the sidewalk and watched the fireworks, since they are lit off 1/4 mile down the street. Another B-day party to go to today for a 1 year old, so more burgers and dogs for lunch.

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon MMC !

School bus is done for the summer, the cake is done and delivered (you can see it if you go to my photo album on my profile page). No more Sunday school bus for the summer either.

Now I can start getting ready to go camping!! Leaving on Tuesday and staying until Sunday (maybe Monday depending on if my daughter has to work that day)

Just finishing off a macaroni salad for lunch and then going to meet a friend at a small lake area for a visit and maybe some ice cream!

Have a great day everyone!!! cheesy

I am glad to hear that the party went well!!!!!!!!!!

just came home from watching the world championship game....Germany - England.....and I gotta say....we crushed the English team.....even tho...the English scored a clear second goal that wasn´t given......but that was the revenge of the 1966 goal at the Worlds....:D....just kidding...I was very dissapointed with the English team this world cup...they got so much class on their team...but somehow they can´t make it work as a team....I hope a lot will be done so we gon see a great english team like back in 66, 1990 and 96

Hey Made, good finish I thought today....a little beating and banging never hurt anyone! Jr. had a top 10 finish....good race....I thought....

DAYTONA NEXT WEEKEND!!!

Boy, this place is going to be slim the next week or so with everyone leaving, isn't it?

Hi Ballcoach !!! How are ya ?? My plans for the 4th are not many as that is a regular work day for me !! Can't complain though. It is only half day and thank goodness I have a job and right here at home !!

The 4th? Hmmm, here it is the 1st that gets all the attention, after all, we're Canadian eh!

We will be in camp starting Tuesday, having lots of fireworks on both the 1st and the 4th (our host is from North Carolina) as well as a big BBQ potluck dinner. Not forgetting the fun around the fire pit later that evening with smores for everyone! cheesy
