Good morning, everyone.

Very nice to see the countdown of Days to the Christmas Season reach the halfway through the 90s! We will be into the 80s in less than a week. A decent, but humid morning. Chance of showers for today, but I do not think they will happen. There is not much going on here. A day and a half left of work for the week before I depart for Nationals on Wednesday night... Our final practice is tonight. I am going to the gym beforehand, but it will just be to help people with encouragement and timing their workouts.

Unfortunately, I had no exciting dreams of Christmas last night. I will try to think more Christmas thoughts prior to sleeping in hopes that they will take over in my sleep. At least, that is how it worked two nights ago.

Keep those posts coming. We are closing ever so fast on last year's total. And, since I am going away tomorrow night, I want to see us close in and as much as possible. Otherwise, I will have to check in on the Macbook from Sherbrooke to see when we reach the total - I think I was going to do that anyway!!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

You know what? I really do feel my absolute best when cooler weather comes around. I get so much more energy when the rest of the world gets sluggish during that time. A lot of people I know feel better in the summer but NOT ME! When I am at work and the weather cools down the customers complain about it and wish it was summer again! To me, that is CRAZY! cheesy

It's very CRAZY! In the fall, I am able to keep my workout pattern and I always have nostalgia for going on trail runs. I suspect it will be the same this fall. It should be even more perfect this year as there are plenty of trails to run where I am going to Teachers College! It is the total opposite of sluggish for me, too!

I agree. I am much more productive in the cooler weather and my allergies don't bother me as much. I know part of it is that the colder it is the better I sleep at night.

This may have been mentioned somewhere but not sure. So sad to see Patricia Neal died. The Homecoming is one of my absolute favorite Christmas movies, and she was raised in my home state as well. If you've not seen it get a copy and watch it...so good!
Yes it is and I watch my DVD of it every Christmas season.

Always sad when someone from one of my favorite Christmas movies leaves us.

Good afternoon everyone,

We had a great day at Six Flags yesterday, we spent nearly 10 hours there with the boys, and they were excellent. They enjoyed the whole experience, especially the water park. The best part though was when we went into Thomas Town, and when my 2yo saw Thomas turn the corner on the track and his face lit up with the biggest smile I think he has ever had. He went to bed last night saying his favorite part was going on a ride with Thomas. The only thing I had a problem was it is so expensive for everything, $10 for a hamburger or chicken wrap talk about sticker shock. I agree with my wife saying It was the best family day we ever had.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

I am glad you had fun. We have a Six Flags near us and got season passes one year. My son actually got sick of going, lol, but not my daughter. I have been going to Six Flags over Texas since I was 4 years old. It sure has changed a lot since then. The opening to the show, Banana Splits, shows them at Six Flags over Texas and it brings back memories for me to see the rides they use to have.

Good Afternoon MMC !

Well, everyone in the house left in a rush this morning and we agreed whoever go home first had to clean the kitchen...guess who got home first!
Maybe I should sneak out again for awhile?
Oh well, I will put on some nice lively Christmas music and get to it.

Do you think if I turn up, Let It Snow, really loud it will feel cooler? I sure wish summer was over! :snowball:

Sounds like you had a wonderful Day !!! Those parks really do sock it to a person price wise don't they ?? !!! Still I am sure the look on your 2-year-old's face made up for the price of everything !!

Great to hear you entire family had a fantastic time. I am sure even the most over-priced food cannot put a damper on those memories.

I LOVE the ending to this movie! Brings tears to my eyes every time! When he runs down the street yelling "Merry Christmas!" I want to run along side with him and yell along! You know sometimes I just pop in the dvd just to watch this scene!

Also knowing that I have seen this movie over 200 times, I recite every line along with them in this scene. I think I drive the family crazy so I just say it out loud when they are not around. He he!

Brad, Thanks for putting a smile on my face posting this clip.
