I am in North Bay. I was tempted to meet fellow classmates tonight at a party, however, the early sunset and darkness tired me out more than usual. The fact that I was in a bus for five hours probably did not help either. I met my landlord, whom I will be living with throughout my time at Teachers College, and she seems very nice. What a sweet lady. My roommate and I seem to get along, too, which is very nice. We'll see how it goes.

Orientation is tomorrow. Not entirely sure about the schedule, but I hope to come on at some point and check the countdown! Of course, it is great to read the updates of everyone else, too. I am getting sleepy, so I may need to go to bed a little early tonight. Enjoy your night and sleeps, everyone!!

Good morning, everyone!

Just a quick drop in before I head to North Bay until (Canadian) Thanksgiving. My bus leaves at 10 AM and I think I have everything packed. We will see once I get there! Hope all is well with everyone else. It's the last day of August. September, Labour Day and fall are just around the corner. Fantastic!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Tomorrow is a new month and yet another hump day toward our favourite season!

Good luck, Brent. We are pullin for ya!

Hey friends! Hope you all had a good day. I'm so ready for our move to be over.

Tomorrow is Shispering Pines Day....YES! It's exciting to see all the good things on here that have happened in the past week, but I love Shispering Pines. I make a point to drink a pot of coffee and read the board on Wednesday night and tomorrow will be no different. We will cut the move short.

So, what's does everyone have in store for the holiday? We haven't made any plans yet, but we are talking about it.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. See yall then!

When I was driving home from town at 2:00 pm it was only 56 degrees :)

Judesmama, congrats! I will have to go look for your post :)

Once September gets here, tomorrow, I can say.."We're putting up our Christmas tree in 2 months!" hahahaha :tree:

Good evening all!

JP got home from school and said "it was the best day ever" we asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he said it was "riding the bus." I am so proud of him! Work was tough tonight, it was inventory night and I spent 2 hours in the freezer counting not much moving involved and I was frozen to the core and could not warm back up. It is September in 43 minutes!
Have a good night!

Well I am to tired to catch up tonight but I at least wanted to stop by and say Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!

That is sooooooooo CUTE! Happy to hear that JP had a super day yesterday!

There is nothing like "home" to warm you up inside and out!

Yes...I guess you saw September come in! Isn't it exciting! I'm changing my calendar to "September" right now! YA!

HAPPY SEPTEMBER 1ST, CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!!!!

As BRAD says...the start of the months that end with "ber"!

The weather today is going to be extremely hot and humid - but I do see that by Saturday its going to cool off signficantly! Bring on the cool weather!!!

Have a wonderful and merry day today, everyone!!!

Good morning from a somewhat sunny London where the air has taken on a clea autumnal tinge. Hooray.

Planning to visit the Christmas department at Selfridge's this evening - if I can get away from work in time! Yay!

Weather just said cold front coming through starting about Friday. Lows in the mid 70's....

Have a good day, all! See you this evening at the 'Pines!

As a schoolbus driver that is what I love to hear from the kids!

That's good that your living arrangements is off to a good start!

Now THAT'S a true Georgia man right there LOL! It's been a bit cooler out in the Statesboro/Savannah area, wouldn't you agree?
Man, it's been WONDERFUL!

It's supposed to push nearly to 100° on Friday, but back down to 90° by Sunday.

Way to go, Brent! We're all proud of you!

Good Wednesday (SeptemBRRR 1!) morning, my Christmas friends! Ok, so maybe it's going to be 93° today. I can still pretend it BRRR weather!

We made our weekly Wal-Mart trip yesterday. Ugh. That place is a mad house. We buy as much local stuff as we can, but some things just aren't available locally. I hate to feed the Wal-Mart machine, though. :-?

I HAVE to get on the lawnmower today. The yard is getting away from me again. I'll have to borrow my son's MP3 player. I loaded it with all my Christmas music a while back.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning all!

September is here and we will be pushing 100 degrees today. :? With a chance of getting a glancing blow from Hurricane Earl this weekend, our tag sale may be canceled, hoping it goes out to sea. JP was overtired and crying about everything this morning I think a full day at school was a shock to his system, he just needs to adjust to his new schedule. He was happier when it was time for the bus though.

Have a great Wednesday!

Good middle-of-the-week Greetings to one and all.

Whew!
Yet another hot one here yesterday when we crept close to 100 degrees again to complete our hottest August on record.
Should "cool off" to the low 90's today, or so they predict.
We stand at 73, currently.

With that hot announcement, let's see what else is heating up:
Days to the Season: 74
Days to Christmas Day: 116
Two weeks from the day after tomorrow, guys -- the 100 day window to Christmas opens up on double digits!

Speaking of open windows, Carl (inspired by Binger's request for Blueberry blended coffee) has announced the Shispering Pines will be opening early today to handle the expected mob lining up for his latest blend. I tried to explain to him the "mob" will consist of one coffee-crazed nut (or should I say bean?) but he won't listen.
Regardless, since the doors are opening early, Holiday and I will be leaving for the 'Pines shortly to greet all comers with Fired Twinkies and all the sweetest Southern Iced Tea this side of heaven you can drink!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
