We're finally getting some rain today!! We really need it.

Can you send some up my way??????? We got a few sprinkles this morning but not nearly enough to help with the drought that we are in.

Good news on our next move. We should be in before Thanksgiving, which means I can spend Thanksgiving break decorating. I was worried that we wouldn't get to put up a true until Mid-December, which would have been disappointing, but it's all gonna work out.

I am glad to hear that you will have a place to enjoy the whole season in friend!!!!!!!cheesy

Its has been quite cold here, had the heating on this morning and seen people walking round in there winter coats!!!

Good Evening Everyone!!!!!!! It has been a fun day here in central Indy. I woke to read the news papers and saw that the local paper had a story about our towns christmas festival. Then I read the indianapolis paper and they had a three page section on all of the craft fairs and christmas festivals that were scheduled for this year. It was a great reminder that the season is just around the corner. After church my cousin came over and we sat around watching football all afternoon. I made a crock pot full of cheese dip and some hot dogs to snack on while we were watching the games. My neighbor got home about 2 so I invited him to come join us. It was a fun afternoon. The rest of this evening I need to read over some paperwork for work before our conference call in the morning. I hope everyone had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rudolph: Got the date for this year's local Santa Claus Parade ...

The theme this year is an Old Fashioned Christmas. The parade will be held on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at 12:00 p.m - I'll be there with my camera if I don't wind up on a float.

In addition, our 22nd Annual Old Fashion Downtown Christmas Walk is scheduled for Friday Nov. 26, 2010 Tree lighting ceremony at 6:00PM. Guess I'll bring my mom out if the weather isn't too miserable.

Sounds like a wonderful parade and the Downtown Christmas Walk sounds So Exciting !!

Yesterday Wayne and I went to Dave and Busters and played some games and table shuffleboard. We had fun!

It was rainy and a slight chill in the air. It was GREAT to actually see people wearing jackets!

It's amazing how cool air makes me feels more energetic and happy when it's usually the warm sun that does that for others. This summer has taken everything out of me and this cool air is very welcomed! As I already mentioned, we will still get some warm days off and on throughout the fall.

It felt very Fall today here today and I agree the cooler weather does energize !!! Glad you had a good time !

I'm the drill instructor this morning, getting the family out of bed & ready for church. MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT! LET'S SEE SOME HUSTLE! For some reason, I don't think they are appreciating it.:?

I had a great day yesterday. Nancy and the kids were all out doing birthday parties & other stuff. I just sat on my couch and watched TV. I had a glass of sweet tea and a box of Charleston Chew Minis. Perfect!

We'll be going to mom's house for dinner today, and that's always a treat.

We have marched half way through our weekend but over 75% of our way back to Christmas:
Days to the Season: 48
Days to Christmas Day: 90
You are probably wondering what our next Milestone is and just how many are left for 2010.
Well, you could check out the chart at post #1 of this thread or just read further here.
We started 2010 with 18 Milestones (not counting the Season start date and Christmas Day itself) and are down now to.........two.
That's right, TWO!
And the next one is a mere 11 days off: The 90% HOME STRETCH mark to the Season.
Incredible !!

Slightly overcast this morning here in Raleigh where we stand at 72 degrees after a 98 degree high yesterday, another record. We have started out the first 3 days of fall with temps in the mid to upper 90's.
Wow!
Supposed to be much cooler today with rain. We shall see.

Good morning, friends! Sorry for a my absence the last two days, but I've been so tired. I haven't been able to post because when I log in, I ended up falling asleep before I got to the end of the days posts. My wife ended up shutting down my computer and telling me to go to bed. But now, it's Sunday morning so here I am.

Wow this weekend is great its been in the 70's first time since April I think. I have all the windows open and the air smells so fresh and crisp. So today I plan to watch football and also read on the porch some as well.

I really hope everyone is doing well and sorry I have not been on much in the last week. I hope that next week i show up a lot more and enjoy being with all my holiday friends.

Tonight's Dessert

My husband and I went to Costco today. They had their 10-inch pumpkin pies on sale for $5.99, but with a dollar-off coupon, we got one for $4.99. I am just now having my piece, and it is absolutely scrumptious. What a wonder fall flavor, even if it is about 90 degrees outside!! The air conditioner is on, so I am pretending it is a gentle fall breeze!

Had a great day with my wife and family today. We went and bought new living room furniture and a new "pub" table. It's really cool. We are probably about a month and a 1/2 from moving and I know it's going to fly by since we are so close to Christmas. Well, at least this time every year flies by so I'm assuming this year will to.

Brent, how's teacher college going? I hope you are learning alot. If you would like, we could chat sometime and maybe I could share some of my experience and you could share with me. I'm always looking for new ideas.

Well, Monday isn't my favorite day, but there are just like 11 Mondays left until Christmas so I'm kinda using them as markers, that way they are a little more tolerable.

Busy, busy day today, I am finally able to log on tonight after 11pm, we went back to Lowe's to do more research on interior doors and low and behold they had 2 aisles of Christmas decorations up, I was just there 3 days ago and they had none, so that made my morning. Spent the early afternoon trying to watch football, and I am finding myself less interested in it, maybe because the Patriots and Bills were playing, but my Bengals won again, I am starting to worry about Carson Palmer now, he just doesn't look to good. I made a Roast Pork dinner for myself and kids with mashed potatoes and homemade applesauce chicken breast for my wife, and we sampled a new cookie recipe I was planning for Christmas called Peppermint Patty Surprise, and they were good, and then ended the evening watching a really good movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians:The Lightning Thief.
It was a good day!

Teachers College is going pretty well, coach. I am really enjoying it. Getting to know some strategies and finally starting to feel comfortable in front of people. I think that has always been my main concern. I am not a presenter and have often struggled in front of people, but I am finally growing comfortable with everything. The more I know the material, the more comfortable I will be. I just need to be prepared. I'd love to chat about it sometime. I could never have too much advice! I will be starting my first three week placement in only two weeks, so I will have a bit more to learn and take to my first attempt. Again, any advice is definitely welcome!

another week closer to christmas and it is starting with a visit to Kandice ´ doctor....unfortunately her cold has finally turned into a bronfchitis....both of us hardly slept and because she was coughing so hard she threw up about 6 at night...we won´t get around taking antibiotics this time again. so please pray for my babygirl for quick recovery!

Good morning Christmas Family !! It is slightly chilly here today. Last evening we had our first official fire in the fireplace. Hooray !! Christmas time is coming fast !!! Had a bit of a sleepy start and I am still struggling to stay awake as I listen to the doctors "talk". Well, must go now. In addition to typing the physicians' dictations, I must make a quick magical trip to the North Pole to check on Santa's polar bears !!!
