Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good afternoon! (Well, good noon - it's exactly 12!)

Went for a nice walk to the park today... I actually got out of the house with both kids without incident or forgetting anything essential, so that's progress!

I got about an hour of sleep last night so most of my day will probably be spent lounging around... soooo tiiiiired!

Yes I was in Kmart just a few weeks ago getting a new binder for school and I was excited to see that the Christmas decorations were already in stock! The trees that they put up every year were there too, but in boxes. Maybe they're up already

They are up now because I was just at K-Mart on my lunch hour. The trees are up and decorated and it looked like all the Christmas decor was out except for wrapping paper, bows, & bags. A Grandpa had his little one over there checking everything out!

Kandice is really recovering.....been jumping around alredy all day, playing nicely and been dancing for me for the last 30 minutes....hilarious and totally cute

fall is going away again, they forecasted 76 for the weekend...but i want it to be colder than 40....grrrrrrrrrrr....anyway...the cold will be there before we know it

now today my friend talked about getting some garlands for christmas.....i was delighted...cos it was the first time someone else besides me mentioned christmas

LC & myself went to K-mart to see if the decorations were set and they had nearly 3 aisles set. They had a good selection of Peanuts Christmas decorations, Rudolph decorations, and a lot of Elvis decorations. LC liked the interactive toys the most. It was great to see it all, but IMO the lights seem rather expensive this year, maybe they are planning for some good sales on it as the season gets closer. All that was missing was the Christmas music. They also had a 6' tall interactive Jason from Friday the 13th in the Halloween area and he scared LC pretty well, I could not help but laugh as he just watched him as we went by him.

Good evening all,


Working in the freezer tonight while breaking down the pallets of food, I noticed the turkeys are starting to filter in for Thanksgiving, I had to make room and put away 13 cases of turkeys, not much but triple what we usually get, in a few weeks I will be making room for over 100 cases in one delivery, on a sour note there is rumors going around the store they are getting ready to lay-off people and I am worried I may be one of them since I am one of the most senior employees, and they could replace me with a couple part-timers for less money. I should know better than to believe rumors but it just sticks in the back of your mind when you hear that. I have the day off tomorrow, and may take a run over to Kmart with LC to see if Christmas is set up yet. The Red Sox were officially eliminated from playoff contention tonight, so I guess baseball is done for me, but I will root for San Diego Padres (if they get in) or Cincinnati Reds, without watching it. Just not the Yankees, please.

xmas365 - our neighbor boy has been pitching for the Padres (rookie) - he won't be playing in post season (if they make it) b/c he wasn't signed in time. So I agree, Padres, or REDS....Go REDS!!!! Hope everything turns out good for you with your job!! Scary times!!

Awesome, I cant wait till our first day of frost. This always makes me smile and know that winter is on its way and jack frost has visited us.

I agree!!!! I hate heights and I can't imagine walking on a glass floor that high up.

It’s Wednesday. It is time for a nice glass of your favourite beverage at the ‘Pines. Coach will be there; I’d imagine that Holiday and Binger will also make an appearance, too! Hopefully Carl will be in a welcoming mood with the absence of Crown!

We went to the State Fair of Texas and just got back about an hour ago. I know I have mentioned in the past how I don't much care for it. We got free tickets to it 2 years in a row for being members at the Dallas Museum. We didn't use them last year.

Today my son-in-law and daughter had to work late and since I would have the kids for awhile my mother and I headed out there with them for a few hours for something to do. We actually had a great time! Seems like there was more to do this time than there was last time.

I might have to catch up on all the post later or tomorrow. I hope you all have a goodnight! cheesy
