Speaking of merry thoughts dancing in our heads ... I had one today. I was wondering about the neighbours across the creek, they usually put there blowmold snowman and lights up this time of year. I looked when I got home from a dinner meeting, but they still have their bales of hay and pumpkin out there. I'm sure that will change soon, but maybe they're waiting for a few inches of snow first. The home I'm speaking of kept their warming Christmas lights up until the end of March last year when most of the snow was gone.
I thought of the gang here when I was deleting a few messages I didn't realized I saved on my phone at work. One was from a co-worker whom I was scheduled to collaborate with who was telling me she wasn't going to be coming into work, she coughed so hard from her bronchitis that she pulled her ribs, etc.
I'm not one to complain, swear or anything like that. Once in a while when I get frustrated when a project I'm working on doesn't quite fall into place they way I intended it, I mumble under my breath "Poo-poo to the whos". She laughed so hard the first time she heard me say it because she knows that I'm a Christmas Wacko. It has become a bit of a private joke between us now. In the message I deleted, it was her saying "Poo-poo, it's the Who and I won't be making it in today...." So today, I confronted her and demanded to know why I was the "poo-poo" instead of the "who" and she said it had to do with the flow of it all. I told her from now on, "I'm the Who". She said okay.
Anyway, that just made me think of my Christmas chums again and so when she left, I turned on some tunes I have on my computer and listened to some merry music. Tomorrow, I'll force her to listen to "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch". HaHa.
