Good evening, my dear Christmas family !!

I just finished putting out my nativity scene. As some of you know, this is no easy task. My nativity scene doesn't just have the Holy Family, angels and wise men, it has tons and tons of animals coming to wish Jesus Happy Birthday !!! I don't know how I started it but each year I add more and more animals. I have everything from Aardvarks to Zebras (including lots of polar bears and dogs and cats !!!). It takes me hours to get them all set up. At last I just got finished. This year I added a Kangaroo complete with baby in her pouch and also another cow laying down with her feet tucked underneath her.

I also put my Santas on the mantle !!! So it is coming along. I am so excited !!!! Have a wonderful evening everyone !

:tree:

Do you ever post any pictures of your nativity scene? It sounds incredible.

Rain rain go away, I have Christmas lights to put up. Guess its a good day to decorate in the inside of the house. I just hate having lights half way done outside.

The babysitter came over to watch LC yesterday and he is so proud of the lights and decorations he shows them to her as soon as she got here, and she was like "wow Christmas already" looking at me like I am nuts.

Let them look at your like you're nuts. It's their fault they cannot embrace the Christmas Spirit! As long as the excitement stays within LC throughout the Season, you've done a fantastic part. Of course, I am sure the lights are always bright and exciting to look at!

My co-worker just informed me that in 2 quick months it's all going to be over - Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE, NYD...all over! Can anyone say BAHUMBUG???? Lol!!!

BAHUMBUG!!!!!

What is wrong with these Co-Workers of ours!!! One of mine just said the same thing to me last week. She said in 2 months Christmas will be OVER AND JUST A MEMORY!!! Why can't they understand the enjoyment and excitement! It really gets under my skin because people like that THINK that Christmas comes from a store. And when they think about it, all they see is $$$ signs, and have no appreciation for the holiday.

It's a shame that people cannot celebrate and appreciate the joy of being with family during the shortest days of the year!

I love that Music Choice has Christmas music on now I have been listening to it almost non-stop, and my wife is finally coming over to my side, she said this morning "I am really getting in the Christmas spirit now." I am sure it is the music and decorations up in one room that have brought her over.

Yes! My landlord asked me if I celebrated Christmas last night. We had not previously discussed it. Anyway, it made me really excited! At first, I thought she asked because the Christmas music was on the music channels, but not quite yet!

Good afternoon everyone... a nice chilly wet day here. Last night i walked into the grocery store to stock up on chocolate chips for my Christmas cookies and what do I hear???? Lovely Christmas music playing through out the store! Needless to say I was smiling as I was shopping! I think this weekend I will have to break down and buy a box of Candy Canes... (I try to wait until Thanksgiving week to do that)... and start wrapping some Christmas gifts.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good afternoon, everyone!!

9 more days until the Christmas Season! The only thing better than the Christmas Season is the fact that it starts on Saturday! Christmas all day to ring in the Season!! Not much going on in North Bay. It's chilly but only going to get colder! Lots of work to do! Assignments right after practicum don't go over too well!

Have a fantastic day, everyone! Single digits will lead us to one week on Saturday!

That should be quite the experience! Hopefully you can see the lights reflect off the falling snow! Look for a Christmas tree? A real one? Already?

i love it....it is like a mix of the nativity scene an noah s ark :D beautiful

that's a lovely scene caninemom!

i hope your mum can make it undertakr and that you have a great weekend together cheesy

still trying to get the house all sorted, with a bit of luck it will all be done by the end of next week and i can start relaxing and really enjoy the build up at home. there is nothing worse when you're house is trashed! i need to light my christmas candles and sip my mulled wine in a peaceful, calm environment! i'm determined that next weekend i will be doing just that...

bonfire night in the UK tomorrow and i can't wait, it's one of my favourite nights of the year. the family and i go to our local park to see a huge firework display, then it's back to my cousin's house for mulled wine, food and lots more fireworks. the weather is always freezing cold and it's just so christmasssy :tree:

Maybe a gift certificate to a dentist to file his teeth down. cheesy

:hello: Haha, I was thinking of hiring him out to Station One for rescue missions. Think he could do the work of the jaws of life with ease and that would bring in some extra bucks too and keep him busy. I wonder ...

I got nervous tonight as I went to get my laptop and found the cords pulled out away from their usual resting spot and I wondered if O'Malley had been using my computer again.

If you saw anything that looked like ffffjlfi ffljaff;f fa;fjaf;tuowururrrr please ignore it and know that I didn't send it out. I can spell way better than that.

Good Evening Everyone!!!!!!! It has been a long day. I finished my last 10 accounts this morning and then I called my boss to see how she wanted me to get my handheld back to her. I ended up just driving to the Indiana and Ohio border to give it to her. That way I know she got it and that it was working when I gave it to her. So I have spent most of my day on interstate 70. This evening I plan on kicking back and relaxing. I am also starting to get a cold so I plan on loading up on medicine so it doesn't get any worse. I hope everyone had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I am being stupid, but what is a special post? Anyone care to explain?

Thanks

My first real post on here other than introductions. This thread seems like the place to be haha cheesy

Got Christmas music on pandora, and i'm reading through this cool website. Two more days till the weekend! We're supposed to get snow friday and saturday, im seeing myself watching some christmas movies by the fire those days.

Welcome to our new merry countdown dwellers. Yule enjoy yourselves around here, every day is a day closer to Christmas. Sometimes, when the mood suits me, I go back to the archives or earlier posts and read what has been submitted before just to give myself a merry lift. Page one of this thread explains how this countdown works and marks days that we celebrate with a little more oomph than an ordinary day with a fleeting thought of Christmas dancing in our heads.

:tree: Speaking of merry thoughts dancing in our heads ... I had one today. I was wondering about the neighbours across the creek, they usually put there blowmold snowman and lights up this time of year. I looked when I got home from a dinner meeting, but they still have their bales of hay and pumpkin out there. I'm sure that will change soon, but maybe they're waiting for a few inches of snow first. The home I'm speaking of kept their warming Christmas lights up until the end of March last year when most of the snow was gone.

I thought of the gang here when I was deleting a few messages I didn't realized I saved on my phone at work. One was from a co-worker whom I was scheduled to collaborate with who was telling me she wasn't going to be coming into work, she coughed so hard from her bronchitis that she pulled her ribs, etc.

I'm not one to complain, swear or anything like that. Once in a while when I get frustrated when a project I'm working on doesn't quite fall into place they way I intended it, I mumble under my breath "Poo-poo to the whos". She laughed so hard the first time she heard me say it because she knows that I'm a Christmas Wacko. It has become a bit of a private joke between us now. In the message I deleted, it was her saying "Poo-poo, it's the Who and I won't be making it in today...." So today, I confronted her and demanded to know why I was the "poo-poo" instead of the "who" and she said it had to do with the flow of it all. I told her from now on, "I'm the Who". She said okay.

Anyway, that just made me think of my Christmas chums again and so when she left, I turned on some tunes I have on my computer and listened to some merry music. Tomorrow, I'll force her to listen to "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch". HaHa.

Hey friends! Hope all is going well. Good news, bad news.

This will probably be my last post until Saturday night. Bad news.

I'm going on a weekend hunting trip with my Dad. Good news.

Hope to see yall in the morning, if not, then I will think of you while I'm on my way drinking coffee.

Auntie, O'Mailey sure has been on a streak lately. You think he may be getting some advice from Carl the Camel? I'm convinced that camel is always up to no good.
