Why does the season begin on November 13?

I know I read it somewhere months ago, but I can't remember where.

(By the way, you REALLY should watch the old Twilight Zone episode "Changing of the Guard". Wonderful episode that speaks to the value of teachers.)

I am not sure if I ever seen that one. Sounds like a good one and will have to watch it sometime!

As some of you may know, I'm on my local city council, and I'm a member of a non-profit group that raises money for city beautification.

You should be on our city council. Maybe things would run better around here! cheesy

I was just watching the Today Show and they had a story on the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and where this years tree came from. Interesting story and it arrives in the Rockefeller Center tomorrow!

They must do this every Veteran's Day because I seem to catch it every year when I'm off work for the holiday.

I AM DETERMINED to get here tomorrow night.. but do invite everyone to join me on Dec 23rd for the countodwn to DARLENE LOVE ON LETTERMEN....

I don't know if I can stay up that late, since I was in bed at 8:30 last night! I really do want to catch Darlene Love this year though. I can take a nap on Christmas Eve and stay up later on the 23rd!

I bought and wrapped more presents yesterday. I'm listening to Christmas music at work today. I'm doing more Christmas shopping on my lunch hour today. I'm so ready to decorate, but I'll hold off until at least Black Friday, probably that Saturday. Unless DH gets a good dose of Christmas Spirit, which he hasn't had in years---if he does, we might get some decorations out before then.

Yes. We have a Santa Claus parade on the 27th that goes right behind our house. Tomorrow (Saturday) we are going to the London Santa Claus parade!! Should be a blast.

I will just be getting out of class (OTDS on Exeter Rd) when it starts, might go over and take a peek. cheesy

The mountain time zone is even further back, T!! You'll hit midnight in about 4 1/2 hours and we'll hit it in about 5 1/2 hours. If you're up REALLY early, like 5.30am your time, you should be able to see the season in with everybody else on here.

I think it's safe to say that I'll be upside down under a duvet at that time!!!
