I have had the last 2 days off and enjoyed every bit of it. I got a lot of stuff done but still have more to do. The grandkids will be here shortly so it's back to work and back to fun with them! =)

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning MMC !

Getting very chilly here, I too still have heating problems. Called landlord twice now....he is supposed to come over this morning.

So I come here where it is always warm and friendly!!!cheesy

Have a fantastic day everyone!!

At least the Christmas music was good. It makes me tired just to think about it. My husband is good with repairs, so he would have done the job; but I know it would be exhausting just cleaning up the water. Our sewer went on the blink so he fixed that after having to dig up concrete in the garage to get to the broken pipe! Ooooo, what a mess! Hopefully everything will dry out for you!

Good evening,

It was one of those days today, I woke up and checked the heat this morning, it wasn't working, I go down to the basement, and there is water raining down from the ceiling, one of the pipes near the boiler burst soaking and shorting out the boiler, I shut off the water to the house, called the appropriate people the boiler repairman and plumber both came and fixed the respective areas.
We spent the rest of the day cleaning up, getting rid of gallons of water, and throwing away stuff that was ruined, but we listened to Christmas music the whole day so that was good.

I am so tired tonight.

Have a good night!

I finished all my report cards yesterday, so I am ready for parent conferences today! Hooray! We have minimum days today, Thursday, and Friday to have conferences. I have a few early morning meetings and two or three after 4:00 p.m. I am so glad these only happen once a school year. It's hard to schedule everyone in a good time slot, especially with so many working parents. I really hate to inconvenience anyone, but I can only stay so late! Hope everyone has a great day. I will because our local Oldies 102.1 has started Christmas music all day already!!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #5 *******

Good Morning, Friends of Christmas and everything Holiday!

LOTS of rain and wind here last night and there are those cursed tiny willow oak leaves all over my cars.
(Autumn leaves may look nice in the trees but they cause an unholy mess once they fall!)
Anyhow, it's bright, sunny and 56 degrees now with no further precipitation in sight for a while.

On we go!
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 8 (One week from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 38 (Under 5 1/2 weeks away, now!)
And our FINAL MILESTONE, the 90% mark to Christmas, is tomorrow. (We will then be in the home stretch to the Big Day!)

So far, I've watched Home Alone and the Christmas-themed Twilight Zone episode called "Night of the Meek" in my Christmas collection.
And I've listened to LOTS of Christmas music.
(Hey! My father and I ate at the Ramada Inn's "Capital Room" restaurant yesterday and they were playing Christmas music. GOOD Christmas music!
I think it was via Sirius radio.)

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone.
See you at the 'Pines!
(And don't forget - NEXT Wednesday - the special Thanksgiving Shispering Pines open house. You don't want to miss THAT one!)

Good morning,

We almost had the basement dried out, it rained heavy last night, so there is a new wet area in the basement, as Charlie Brown says "ARRRGGGHHH" It is not bad, but just frustrating. I have a long day ahead of me, long shift at work, won't be home until nearly 11pm tonight.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is supposed to be a beautiful day here in central Indy. That will be a welcome change after the all day drizzle we had yesterday. My plan for today is to do my normal daily cleaning and then kick back and watch some Christmas movies on hallmark. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh sure, Caninemom.
(Art Carney was a great Santa, wasn't he?)

Here is a youtube link to the episode:

(This is to part I. You might have to search for the other parts.)

Art Carney was great!

I found part 3, but not part 2. :(

Well I couldn't stand it any longer. I was starting to put a couple of santas out and wound up putting them all out.:???:
