Dont think Ive got the energy to lift boxes today LOL
Once when my son was still to little for school and both his sisters where at school, I was really sick. I fell asleep on the couch and then woke with a start realizing my son was not insight! I slowly got up(because I was to sick to move fast) tried to call him (voice not working either) and walked around looking for him. He was sitting in the middle of the kitchen table with a jar of jam and a jar of peanut butter between his legs, a spoon in each thoroughly enjoying himself.
That is such a precious memory, Christmasstar !! Thank you for sharing. How Cute !!

As if my week couldnt get anyworse. I was hoping to send my daughter to school today, but she is now suffereing with earache!!! To top it all off Ive not slept all night as I have a cold and now face a busy day ahead with two kidsBut on the bright side, Chtristmas is almost here, so thats a positive

I would come help friend but mom took my truck to work today becuase her car wouldn't start. :-? So I get to spend the day figuring out what is wrong with her car.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! Hopefully it is going to be a beautiful day here in central Indy with a high of 48 degrees. The forecasters haven't been doing a very good job lately though. I had planned on spending today grocery shopping but now I will be fixing mom's car. Hopefully it's just a battery and I can get it fixed quick. I also want to get some more decorations put out today. Mom just laughed when she came home last night and all of the Santa's were out. The only bad thing she said was that the entertainment center looked to crowded. Well I am off to fix some coffee and to get my neighbor to try and jump start my mom's car for me. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas is really in the air... they put the big Christmas tree up yesterday at City Hall in Philadelphia... our town has our parade on Saturday and the last float has Santa on it.. I can't wait! All the decorations are up on the poles in town (same Christmas trees since I was a kid!)... sooo exciting. ANd one of our local stations FINALLY went all Christmas!!!!!! Woo hoo!

Wayne and I have been talking about Black Friday for several months now. We are excited about the free Christmas shows to see at the mall that day. It has been a tradition for 4 years now.
Wellllll.... My boss calls me yesterday and asked if I could come in that Friday. My heart stopped! I told him we have had plans for that day for months (actually since Black Friday last year) but at the same time I felt bad because they don't demand much from me. He immediately said, "no worries"! He told me to have fun and enjoy the day. I can't help but feel bad for telling him that but I really LOVE that day! It's "almost" as big as Christmas for us! He reassured me not to worry. He then realized it's Black Friday and we might not get much business anyway. It's a feed store, not a Target or Toys R Us! cheesy

I am off to school for two early morning parent conferences. One will be a little difficult, but the other one will be a joy! Hope everyone has a great day without too much illness! I hope to get on later this evening as I have another late conference this afternoon and a spaghetti dinner tonight.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!
Whew, this week has been trying.

- My son has been going to basketball tryouts every afternoon this week. He's not very athletically inclined (just like his dad), but he made the team! Now we find out there's practice every day, games every other day, hundreds of dollars in expenses (private school athletics cost a LOT out of pocket)...and a lot of missed family time.
- Also, my daughter's 10 birthday party is tomorrow night, and she has a few friends spending the night after the party, so my wife has had me working like a dog cleaning up the carport and yards.
- The electrical panel in my mom's house had problems, and I worked on it until late last night. I finally got an electrician friend of mine to come by this morning and pull the meter base outside so we could change the main breaker.
- My job and my business have doubled in demand for my time...no complaints there, I'm just a little stressed.
- I have a dead mouse somewhere in my closet!!!
No but you will have the friendliest staff in the world wait on you! :wink:
I love that I live in such a big busy city then step back in time and work for a country store with great wholesome people. I don't make a lot of money but I am so happy where I work. cheesy

Wow you are busy. Enjoy the basketball and birthday parties while you can. My son is 14 and a lot of that stuff is quickly passing away. He will be playing HS baseball this year and we are really looking forward to that. Private Christian school is well worth the cost. My son attended a private Christian school form K-4 through the 7th grade (as high as the school goes). He is no genius but it is amazing how much he is ahead of public schools kids, both academically and in his Christian faith.
Good Afternoon everyone... lastnight we took the kids to the mall and guess who we saw with NO line.... SANTA!!! the kids got their santa picture done lastnight and since there were no other kids waiting Santa took his time with the kids anwsering their questions which was good as our son was full of questions for the big guy like where were his reindeer and Mrs. Claus. It was cute!
