I just love this site. I get more smiles from this than anything. All the camraderie, the love of Christmas and other holidays, the countdown, the jokes--just EVERYTHING! When I am feeling sorry for myself, I come here and get revived!

I think there must be something defective in my makeup - I didn't like it:-?
The polar bear is lovely and the hug at the end was great but it started me off badly when I saw him all alone on his ice flow, then you see him in places he shouldn't ever be -in a tunnel out of the rain, walking at the very edge of a bridge, drinking out of puddles and he almost gets totalled by the truck.
It made me very uncomfortable even though I know it's only a commercial...........but the polar bear itself was magnificent!!!

I normally wouldn't duplicate a post from another area of the forum but I know many come to the site for this thread alone and I wanted to make sure folks were aware of this. To me, this is as much a part of our countdown tradition as, well, this thread. For 19 years we've had the daily Update from the North Pole counting down the days til Santa launches on Christmas Eve, when we track him around the world. This information represents a wonderful opportunity for anyone in your house who needs specific information from an elf at the North Pole. Here it is:
I just received word that Elf Ernest will be stopping by the week of Thanksgiving to post up some public answers to questions already sent to the North Pole this season.
Santa's North Pole email, as you know, partially routes through My Merry Christmas. Elf Ernest says that many kids ask the same questions and that while he has answered many of them over the years and have archived them here on MMC he says there occasionally are new questions that come up that he thinks many folks will want the answer to. So, he's going to post them up here.
If you or your kids have a question about Santa Claus, the North Pole or anything having to do with Christmas, feel free to post them in this thread.
Elf Ernest did also share with me that it will be a big week for news from the North Pole and that we don't want to miss it. I asked him if there was any way we could get Santa here for a little discussion. Elf Ernest said he would work on it.

OK, Made....I haven't got to check any of the NASCAR news in the past few days. Give me any scoops that are important for tomorrow.
I think we have one more good day of work and the move will be 100% done. All items are moved and now we are in the placing things around the house phase....which seems to take quite a bit of time.

It is nice not to have to hurry to school so fast this morning. My brothers place is less than a 1/2 hour from school (mine is 1 hour)

Hey Jeff I hope you got the snow you were wishing for!!!!
Well my daughter had a nother cheerleading competition yesterday and their squad took 1st Place in their division!!!! We are so proud of them. They have their last competition of this season today.
We got the new christmas blow up for the yard yesterday and last night the kids put up and decorated their christmas tree in their bedroom. When my hubby plugged it in our 4 yr old son started jumping up and down, clapping his hands saying it's Christmas Time with the biggest grin on his face. It was priceless!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!
The girlie-girlie birthday party for my daughter was a smash! All the little girls had their hair and nails done, then they went back to my mother-in-law's restaurant for a catered meal. Then they danced till 10pm. She had the best time in the world!
Yesterday we had the family party for her at lunch. We had pizza and birthday cake...nice combo! It was also Nancy and my anniversary. We went out a few weeks ago to celebrate that. Since our daughter was born on our anniversary, we've not been able to celebrate on that day, but what a great anniversary present we got 10 years ago!
Now I gotta rouse the family for church. I hope you all have a great day! cheesy
