I finished my closet and filled nine trash bags with clothes to take over to a friend. I could not believe how many things were new that I had never worn!!! I figured if I haven't worn them for at least four seasons, then obviously I didn't them! Last year I gave my friend a coat that I ordered brand new, but it was too large. She gave it to a friend of hers. She told me how appreciative her friend was. It just so happened that her friend is the parent of one of my students this year. I never let on that I was the one who supplied her winter coat last year! It was fun!

Well, I finished two major projects today, so now it is time to do laundry for next week. Wow! The excitement continues at my house. I probably will not be able to sleep tonight. Thankfully, Christmas Eve and Christmas day will eclipse today!!!

Today's the last day of Thanksgiving break. :( It definitely went by too fast. 7:30 pm and I still haven't started my homework, just cause I'm really bummed. I need to clean my room, too. Hope you all are doing well.. and this has been a teenager post

Oh man....the alarm has been set for 5:15...which means work tomorrow! Darn! Oh well, three weeks until Christmas Break 2010 starts and that will be a welcome two weeks off.

I'm trying to figure out what's harder, moving in or unpacking? It seems like we are never going to get done. Doesn't help that this is the Christmas Season and we pause to do this or that. Oh well, boxes can wait....Christmas can't.

How many days did you say until Darlene, Bing?

good morning my friends. i hope u doing alright, had a nice weekend and are ready for the new week that gets us even closer to christmas!

I am baking the last pieces my gingerbread castle...trying to copy Bodiam Castle in SW England.

Competition rules are it has to be patterned after a real castle.

The house is smelling real nice with all that gingerbread baking!
Looks very difficult! i do wish you lots of good luck on this one! And please show when it's done!

well a break is for relaxing, isn't it?! So it's a good thing you have not spend it working too much! Just try and get as much done as you can! :) goodluck on all of that!

good luck on your laundry!

Christmas-A-Holic, thank you for all the wonderful pics and the video!! they are great!

We have enough food in the fridge and freezer so I'm not hugely worried - tomorrow I'm just going to have to see what it's like before venturing the 16 miles to work!
hope the weather gets somewhat milder... :) it would be bad if you were stuck inside from now till christmas :P

It's been a busy weekend! We went to my mom's for Thanksgiving, and she said she wanted to go shopping on Black Friday. But who in the world would go with her? So, I left the house at 4am Friday, and we went to Savannah. We were too late. The lines were wrapped around buildings and out the doors. We finally did find some good deals, but it was a lot of work.
great that you took your mom! =D hope both of you had a great time, despite the lines!

Hi every one! Hope you are all alright!
Friday we went to see a realtor, who told us all about a building project that we are interested in, and she told us there's only one house left to be sold from the houses that we are willing too buy! so we reserved it immediately, but we were shocked to hear that it will take a year to get it finished! She said happily: You will PROBABLY be spending next years Christmas in your new house... and our yars dropped, because waiting half a year was actually our limit (as I told you about our loud neighbours, who (especially in weekends and the summer) don't allow us to sleep till dawn). So we have to think about it... there's also one more house available that is used as a model for people to see what their houses will look like... so maybe that's an option, but my boyfriend doesn't really like the idea... sooo there's lots and more to think about!
Any one of you ever bought a such a model-house?? Or known some one who did??

Hope all of you are well! Despite these doubts we are fine!

Good morning, friends! Hey, it's Monday, but we are getting closer and closer to Christmas everyday. It's so close I can smell it in the air.

Already at work, going to be a long day. We have basketball duty tonight and it's about 2 hours away. If I'm lucky, I will be home around 10 tonight. Hope to see you then!

I got my sweety's Christmas gifts yesterday. She will be so surprised (I hope). I remember one year I got her gifts, and I accidentally left the receipt laying out, and considering it was from Bath and Body Works, it wasn't hard for her to figure out what I got her. So I had to run out and get something to add to it, so she would have a surprise. I have been very careful since then.

I will be on vacation in a couple of weeks!!

Can't wait to see it!
I finished the baby scrapbook, and it looks cute--even if I do say so. I might post pictures if anyone is interested.
I did my first scrapbook last year for my daughter's graduation present. It sure did take a lot of work but it turned out well.

I would love to see the pictures!

I think this motivated me to get something done today! I did go through my closet last year and got rid of so much stuff that I never wear. It felt great to just keep only what I wear. It sure makes it easier to keep up with!

It's all hard to me! =)

Tough decision! I would hate to wait that long knowing you are stuck in a noisy place.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My husband had to work Black Friday AND his work had their annual open house on Saturday, so he was working nearly all weekend.. :( It was okay though... nearly all of my decorations are up now! Just have to search for some things that got misplaced during our move....

Off to search for Cyber Monday deals for the kids!

Hey there!!

I woke up to our first snow if the year on Sat morning just as I was heading out to pickup stocking stuffers and a few gifts. Just enough to blacket the ground.

I put up some outside decorations yesterday and brought everything in from the garage for Sat's tree docorating party.

Tonight and tomorrow night, I start wrapping while watching some Xmas specials, especially tomorrow when TV will be full of them.

Can't believe Dec is almost here. We have our office Xmas party this thursday evening too. It's a little early this year due to our company moving on the 2nd friday in Dec.

The next few weeks will fly by, I have no doubt.

Cheers!!

For 10 years the Mrs. has wanted to spend Thanksgiving out of town by taking a family vacation. I finally caved and we just got back from 5 days at the beach. Ate my first Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant. I balked so long about this because I am a traditions kind of guy but I will have to admit that the entire trip was great. Meal was perfect. Nice change of pace from the regular routine. I recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #17 *******

Good Morning, Friends.
Welcome to a new week. Another step closer to Christmas, which may be closer than you think!
Days to Christmas Day: 26 (3 weeks & 5 days, now. Not really very far off!)

Each time I go to the mall, I alway pause to watch Santa talk with the children for a few moments. No matter how good or bad I feel, that always gives me a lift. (Especially since we have the real guy himself here - see the Blossoms thread for visual proof!)

Another c-c-cold one here in the capital city, where I got up to 31 degrees this morning.
It's quite sunny out now but we still have only improved to 33 at this hour.

You have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

I hope everyone has a great beginning of a new week closer to Christmas! It's back to school for me, but I sure did enjoy the week off. Of course I had a lot of work to do around the house, and I'm still busy trying to organize our bedroom. I know it will feel great to get it done.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've been eating too good this week! I've had turkey & dressing, green bean casserole (my fav!), smoked boston butt, cheesecake, oyster stew...oh my. I've got to slow down or I'll never get my jeans to button again!

I spend yesterday afternoon working on the city's new (hand-me-down) pole-mounted Christmas lights, replacing the lights that don't work. Our electrician is going to wire and hang them this Saturday. I can't wait!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

That's great :) hahahah i always make a photoalbum for my boyfriend when we have our annirversary, and one year, I left i on the bed after having worked on it... When I discovered it, I ran home... but I was already too late....

Already at work, going to be a long day. We have basketball duty tonight and it's about 2 hours away. If I'm lucky, I will be home around 10 tonight. Hope to see you then!
that's some long day! is that normal for your work? a 2 hour drive??
