School is out today for snow, so DD is with MIL while we work. As long as we can get up our driveway & out onto the main highway, we don't have a problem getting to work. I'd say we had less than an inch of snow at home. Twenty minutes away at my office---nothing, but schools are still closed!

I predict that our schools will be closed tomorrow as well. Temps not getting above freezing & half of our county is in the mountains. I hate when school is closed for snow, but I understand taking precautions. I just hope they are open Thursday & Friday so DD can participate in the Christmas activities before school is out at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Our last two Christmas gifts are supposed to be on the truck for delivery today! I can't really get too excited for Christmas yet, because DH & I are singing in a wedding on Saturday & I dread it! I haven't sung in public since the last wedding I did 11 years ago! Once the wedding is over, I plan to be full on in the Christmas Spirit!

Good monday morning, my Chrismtmas friends!

It's COLD down here today! And WINDY! It's actually damaged one of our Christmas banners. I'm trying to get it fixed today.

Today is the last full day of school for my kids. They have four half-days Tuesday thru Friday (I don't know where that come from), then they're out till next year!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Folks, have you noticed?
We are close to 15,000 thread posts and 200,000 thread views.
Can we reach both by the end of the year?

I don't know how many of you saw THIS THREAD ... but I wanted to bring it up here because I think it would be WONDERFUL if we had folks who frequent this thread year round as much as possible to participate in letting us hear their voices and Christmas greetings this next week by way of the Merry Podcast.

Please consider it, we think it will be a lot of fun!

Jeff

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!!! I have been fighting a losing battle with mother nature this morning. I will go out and shovel the sidewalk and then the winds pick back up and all of the snow drifts back over it again. So I have decided that I am done with it for now. I wanted to go do some shopping today but the roads aren't in very good condition so I think I will just stay home and make some more candy. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That one sounds like fun. I have a good one to add in too!

Good afternoon,

I did a special roadtrip this morning, I went and visited the people I use to work with for the first time in 3.5 years. They were so happy to see me and it was the first time they met LC. I miss them all, we were all so close when I left, and only a few now remain but it was so good to see them and talk with them.
After I left I took LC out to lunch at 5 Guys Burgers & Fries, they have the best hamburgers I have ever had, and you can tell there food is good when they put it in a brown paper bag and you can nearly see through the bag when you sit down after a 20ft walk. So bad for me but tastes so yummy.

Have a great Monday!

One week from thursday darlene love on lettermen.... Set tivo.. Put kids to bed.. Put cat out... Turn off phones...

I think you're going to make it, Crown. Quite an accomplishment -- congrats!
Thanks Jeff, but if ever there is anything that was due to a team effort it is the success of this thread.
I'll accept your congratulations on behalf of everyone who has contributed this fantastic year!

Made it home from school slowly because the road was really bad with drifting snow and bad visibility. Just checked on the road reports and that road is now closed. Glad to be home warm and safe!

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. The teacher's meeting today was not as bad as I thought it would be--not great, but not too bad. My husband and I will soon be on our way to a Christmas party, our first of the season. I have lots of work to do to get another ready for Independent Study as they travel to Mexico for the Christmas holidays and on into February! Thank goodness I was ahead in my lesson plans. Have a great evening, y'all.
