Our Christmas party today at school was great. We had lots of fun, good food, and some nice gifts for me!!!! My kids know I love coffee, so several gifts were coffee-related! I hope y'all have a great evening. I am taking my husband out for his birthday dinner. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

wow, miss a few hours and posts pile up quickly here.

I will read them all later when my head is not hurting so much. I got quite a bang on the head today at skid school, bled like crazy, have a huge goose egg (no stitches, but close) and now still have a headache.

Other than that, skid school was the most terrifying day of my life, but I sure learned a lot! Nothing like purposely putting a 70 foot truck into a spin on a pad of ice. Got to learn how to recover from that and how to keep the truck from jackknifing and how to steer around obstacles. I will be able to handle situations more calmly having already practiced.

Christmas break 2010 begins today!

Two weeks, no school!

If I don't get busy, there will be no gifts, either. I'm sooooo behind!

We should have a Bing Crosby White Christmas here. We got almost a foot of snow over this past weekend and today is the 1st time we could get out. Most of the snow is still here and we may get more this weekend. I found that snow in the mountains is much more difficult to drive in than on flat land. We live on a steep north/west slope and have to park at the bottom and walk to our house, when it snows. It can be a treacherous walk but if we don't park at the bottom, we don't get out. 4 wheel drive doesn't help much going down a mountain and if we slide any we are down the steep side and in a creek. School has been out all week and will be again tomorrow. We live about 15 miles from the closest town and our small communities have little resources to clear the roads so it becomes "Godly snow"; God put it down, He will get it up. cheesy

Sorry the snow is causing you some trouble, my friend. Our place is in the valley and not too hard to get to. I plan to find out in a couple weeks!

It's a little warmer here today, mid 50's and a little rainy. The kids are out at noon today for Christmas holiday. I'm meeting my mom, with Nancy & the kids for lunch today, so I'm looking forward to that!

Tonight we get to go see David Archuleta in concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for their annual Christmas concert. Michael York is the narrator this year and we've got 12 of us going, including my parents.

I will be spending my day inside nursing this cold and working on the Merry Podcast, featuring greetings from around the world -- CALL IN, folks! Got Jayish late last night and Christmas Star just this morning!

It will be a great day for Christmas!
