Louann, I hope Your headache has gotten better already....migraines are the worst!!!!

gabulldawg....I agree with You and Lou on this Ohio subject....horrible....You would think in this day and age there are better ways to deal with something like this rather than shooting all the poor animals

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I am once again posting live from Bernie's Store in beautiful downtown Bellville, GA! It's chilly outside...I can see my breath! Glad I brushed my teeth this morning!

I'll be here all day, so I'll be checking in from time to time.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, MMC!

I am up early again and have a lot to do - no time to catch up on the Countdown. I hope each and every one of you is well and has a MERRY day!!!!!!!!!!

good morning all!

cleaning day for me today, i'm getting the place ready to put my halloween decorations up.

tomorrow me and my little girl are going to bake halloween cakes and watch halloween dvd's.

lovely, quiet, chilled out weekend. :rudolph:

Good morning!!! My sister came over at 6:30 this morning (at the lake) & we went for a 4 mile walk. By 7:15 am guess what we were seeing?!?! FROST!!!!!! Frozen grass!! And not just a little! People are out scraping windows. Brrrrrrr! Ready or not....

Now I'm in the mood to cook or bake. Hmmm...

Make it a great day!

I followed that tragic and bizarre story too, I was so disgusted by the way it was handled, with all the resources of the Columbus Zoo only 50 miles away, you would think something could have been done to save more of those innocent animals lives, granted I understand that public safety was an issue, but still something should have been able to be done to keep both the public safe and save more of the animals, just a very sickening story

Jack Hanna and his crew did respond. They could only save 6 of the animals though. A grizzly bear, three leopards and two monkeys.

Everything is covered in frost here in central Indy this morning. I'm loving it!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central Indy today. We are headed into the high 60's by the end of the day though. I have some cleaning to do today and then I am going to kick back and relax for awhile. I'll probably throw a Christmas movie in the DVD player and make some hot chocolate. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Start-Of-The-Weekend Morning, Everyone.

Closer we creep -- ever closer:
Days to Halloween: 9 (Single digits!)
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64
(This is starting to get scary!)

Another coolish start to the morning here in the capital city where it is 51 degrees under sunny skies at this hour, headed for a high in the mid-60's by this afternoon.
Another good day for visiting the State Fair, where my sister, nieces and I are headed, shortly.

Hey!
Crabtree Valley Shopping Center is nearly fully decorated!
Same decorations as last year but I'll try to get some nice photos for the Blossoms thread as soon as I can get the chance.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Folks!
Enjoy your weekend to the fullest in the uplifting spirit of the Christmas Season.

Sunday afternoon I've got my whole dad's side of the family coming over for a big batch of frogmore stew (low country boil to some). Probaby about 25 of us in my backyard. Weather looks perfect for an outside fire pit to roast marshmellows. I hope everybody else has great weekend.
mmm, wish I could come over for awhile! (looked up the frogmore stew, since I never heard of it before, sounds good)

Good evening,

It's so fun watching my boys grow up, my little guy is really starting to get excited for Halloween. He has so many questions about the holiday asking what type of candy he will get, if he will get rocks like Charlie Brown did, he is getting so smart doing his ABC's, his coloring is improving, saying that L is what his name starts with when he sees it on a sign. My older boy loves to draw, he was drawing when I got home from work at 4:30, he stopped for his bath and dinner but continued until 7:30, he has such an imagination and his pictures are amazing for a 6 year old, I suggested to him, he should look into architecture when he gets older. He has such a love and compassion for nature and animals, our cats love him, they jump into bed with him and cuddle right into him. He is one of the most well behaved kids at Cub Scout meetings, which has been so surprising since most of the time he is a VERY energetic kid, but seeing him sit there soaking up all he can learn has been eye opening. I am so proud of my boys. Santa has been watching.

Back to work in the A.M.

Have a great night!

what a joyous time! I loved watching my kids grow and spending time with them! Enjoy it to its fullest!!!

Well it is late Friday night and I am working on what I am going to post on day # of the special posts day. I really hope I live up to the ones from last year
you are not supposed to live up to the ones from last year...you are supposed to do something brand new, fresh and exciting! Something special for the 2011 Christmas season.
And, you will do great!

I did not believe that prediction about the end of the world but those things ALWAYS spook me. I was reading several posts on different sites this evening and different people's opinions on the subject and I am sad to say there are an awful lot of folks who think that all Christians are whackos and that we believe in fairy tales. Very sad. People who make these types of predictions certainly do not help anything.

as long as there was time, there was this kind of thing going on
Live the life you should and do not fret about what others do

good morning all!

cleaning day for me today.

me too, between posts been getting stuff cleaned, at bit of rearranging and laundry done.
Also cooked a whole chicken for my poor starving college student daughter, who is tired of baloney sandwiches to take back with her.

I wish I could come! Every Christmas we have Speculaas as part of our seasonal treats.

My sister and her husband were in Groningen, Holland last week and discovered we have our own night club there...

Yeah, guess I just hoped they could have saved more with a world class zoo that close, just such a really bizarre and tragic situation that should have never happened.

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying the weekend.

I'm really happy to have stable internet back again! :)) It seems Verizon fixed the problem with the outside line.

On my 3rd cup of coffee, my brain is coming up with all kinds of ideas that I would like to do today but I don't think there is enough time to do them all today. I am about to head out and get some groceries but going to stop on the way to look at the Christmas stuff at Lowes, Home Depot and Michaels (Michaels has Lemax village pieces on sale already, hope to find a couple new pieces for my Christmas village)

Hope everyone has a great day filled with Christmas cheer! :tree:

Cool and sunny here---a nice October day. Went out to a local store called Building 19---they buy up overstock and damaged/dinged items and so forth, and sell them at a bargain. Got two $25 books of crochet patterns for $3.99 each, plus a crockpot cookbook for $5.99 and a book of non-copyright Christmas clip art (complete with a CD of the graphic files) for $2.99! And they've rearranged the store with new shelving, so everything is neat instead of tumbled around like a yard sale. You never know what you'll find there, and it's fun looking around.

Heading out to Brookline a little later for an errand and some pizza at Mr.'s all-time-favorite pizza place.

I'm really happy to have stable internet back again! :)) It seems Verizon fixed the problem with the outside line.

Yay!

Good afternoon all! Another cool & sunny day here in Atlanta. I'm currently cleaning up and getting ready to watch another Georgia Tech game, last week was a tough loss for us.

I have a quick question for you guys. I don't have digital cable, I have DirecTV, what channel or station do you guys suggest as a 'substitute' for "Sounds of The Seasons"? I've never noticed any in the past.

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Saturday :)
