i'll be putting up my Christmas tree & decorations the weekend after halloween, YAAAAY! i can't wait, not sure yet how i'm gonna decorate the tree. maybe color themed or themed around something else. i love the colors red, silver, & white together but i also like angels, gold, & the hodge-podge of all my stuff. what a dilemma?!

Hello everyone, I need to get caught up, but what a weekend here in New York!!! It was PERFECT. Spent the day hiking the trails in Montauk, had a beautiful dinner at my favorite restaurant, which was having their Octoberfest!!! Can you say YUMMY!!! Had a bonfire on the beach, Snicker's played with her ball and dug some huge holes!!! We all enjoyed ourselves!!! Came home Sunday, late mass, putter around didn't do much of anything a little football, some snacking, a little laundry and now back to work.

It sounds like a WONDERFUL time.......And Snickers is SUCH a sweety !!

Once I got to work, I realized I left my work laptop at home. Had to turn around and start over! Sheesh :wink:

We had a nice evening with friends, got some yardwork done, carved a few pumpkins, and watched football yesterday. It was really nice!

She's consulting an internist to ask what would cause that.. Anyways, I'm happy with these results!! Thanks again to all who have been thinking of her.

I went to Marshall's recently and bought a butter/spritz cookie set, and can't wait to try it out over Christmas time! I've always loved those cookies. My Aunt used to make them with red & green food coloring, and they looked so festive. YUM!

I know I had more to write, but I'm drawing a blank. I'll oce again just blame it on Monday morning! Ha!

Reports are the christmas stuff is going really good in the shop today
My mate who has the drink probelm. is feeling sorry for himself and sick as well
Had to go down to his as his mum give me a right touch this morning and ahe was losing it and told him to go and see about getting in some where for help.asap
He was telling me that the friends he pals about with all drink then he bes in there company which is not a good idea to start. but the other side is if hes gives them up he has no friends..he says there is to much temptation. but sure its the same any where.

Good luck with your friend, Shellie. That's a tough one, hope he finds health & happiness. You're a really good friend to stay by his side & try to get him help, even when he is difficult. God Bless you!

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I've had an extra busy morning today, so I'm just now posting.

Jacob and I went hunting at the part of my grandfather's farm that my mom inherited. We didn't see anything while we were there, but there were a lot of deer tracks. Yesterday, we went to Bass Pro Shop in the mall and I bought one of those wildlife digital cameras that you strap to a tree. It takes a picture when something walks nearby. It even takes 90 second videos if it's triggered in the daytime. That ought to be fun, seeing when the deer are actually visiting!

My wrist is a bit swollen now, though. I don't know how you do it, CM3 - Kudos to you on doing that kind of job 5 (sometimes +) days a week!!!

Unfortunately there is a co-worker at Kohl's who said some things about me while I was out sick and it has me a little agitated about going back...but I guess you can't stop what people think, no matter what you do. (Apparently it was a miscommunication error between other co-workers not telling him that I was going to be out all week sick, and somehow I still got blamed? I dunno...) But I am happy to be feeling better and get out of the house!

Excuse my bluntness... but some people are pathetic. haha! someone will always have something to say about every little thing you do! it drives me BATTY!

I'm pretty sure that Carl keeps him locked up in the basement. I went down there to get some more coffee mugs for him last week and heard a weird banging sound coming from a locked room along one side.

Good afternoon, everyone!

It's almost Monday evening! Sorry I missed a day of posting. It was a very busy day at work. We were processing some payments for the first time since I have been hired, so that was a new experience. Also, I was a bit distracted with something else that came up. Let's just say that the day flew by!

Overall, it was a wet, cold, and dreary day in Ottawa. Temperatures are somehow into double digits (Celsius) and lower 50s... But, it certainly does not feel like it! According to the weekly forecast, we could be in for our first negative degree temperatures of the fall season on Thursday. Another sign that Christmas around the corner!

Not sure what I have on tap for tonight. I feel as if I want to go to the gym, but I know that I will be in the gym on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... and I do believe there will be a scrimmage/practice on Wednesday evening in there, too. I think I should conserve some energy for that.

Also, my dad phoned on Friday and informed me that he was coming to visit this upcoming weekend. Awesome! It was strange. I saw the exact model and colour of my dad's car on Friday (a red 2010 Cadillac CTS) on my way into work on Friday and thought that it would be nice to see him very soon. I usually get to see him a few times a year (as he does not mind to make the 9 hour drive to visit). Talk about telepathic waves!

It's after 5! I hope everyone has a wonderful day back at work and enjoy their evenings!

3rd november is fast approaching and it can only mean one thing for those of us in the U.K..... starbucks christmas drinks will be available :lol: personally, i'm counting down the days.

had a FABULOUS day yesterday, baked halloween cakes with my little girl then we snuggled on the couch and watched coraline and monster house. going to decorate for halloween this week. sometimes it's the little things in life that are the most precious.... it was a great day.
