******** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 32 ********

.....Dont no why wenesday is called hump day ( if someone wood like to enlighten me lol ).....
Well, the idea is that Wednesday is at the middle of the work week. After then, you're "over the hump", so to speak.
(Of course, with Carl the Camel in the picture, it takes on an additional meaning!)

Good Morning, Friends.
Mid-week greetings to one and all!

And mid-week can only mean one thing -- a rollicking visit to the Shispering Pines, all decked out in Christmas splendor!

The theme for this week's open house (and it's the next to the last one before Christmas, you know!) is based on the movie "A Christmas Story".
Goose will be served in the dining room (after the ceremonial removal of the head) a genuine Red Ryder air rifle will be on display and the door prize winner will receive a major award.
(I'm not saying what it is but it lights up.)
You don't want to miss this one.
(But come to think about it, you really don't want to miss any of them!)

Not so cold here this morning where we have started out at 43. Should get into the upper half of the 60's by this afternoon, still with no rain in sight.

OK, the count:
Days to Christmas Day: 11
SINGLE DIGITS the day after tomorrow, Folks!

And with THAT happy thought, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

I'm running out of time to watch my Christmas movies!
I tried to watch Scrooged last night in the den, but that TV has a loud buzzing sound when watching a DVD for some reason, it just about drowns out the movie, so I gave up. I try to watch the movies I like that my wife doesn't care about that much, but because of my work schedule, it's hard to find the time. She doesn't mind watching them with me, but I know I don't like sitting through movies I don't enjoy, so I don't want to make her do it either. She never said anything about it, it is my choice. I absolutely can't stand the version of A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart, but it is my wife's favorite, so she watches that one with out me. Oh well I will figure something out, I always do.

Good news every one! :D my brother gets to go home TOMORROW :D hurray hurray! :D
I am beyond thrilled (oh bother, you can only use 3 smileys in one post, but i am really happy indeed!), now i have to get caught up on homework and prep for christmas, but it will be a great christmas, cause we can all be together, and that's really all that counts!

thank you all for your prayers, i'm sure they were heard!

We stopped at a Sheetz and got cappuccinos and homemade Christmas cookies. (It's a convience store - big up here in the North - kind of like a Wawa for you people down in the South.) They make their own food and such.
Wayne (Snow-in-Texas) talked about Sheetz all the time since he is from Maryland. He said he use to stop there every morning before work for coffee. I finally got to go to one when we made our visit to Maryland back in October. They have everything! =)
Didn't someone suggest Santa Claus, IN. back in the summer?
I also mentioned in the summer and we go to go there in October! In fact every time someone suggest a meeting, I mention that town. Really cool little town!
Back to work for noon tomorrow, where I start 6 days in a row, before my next day off. I am starting to get a little nervous about surgery next week though.
Been praying for you on your upcoming surgery!
I am totally in awe of: Made, RJD, Binger, Coach, Bradmac, Crown, and ALL of you who make me laugh hilariously!!!! I just cannot tell how much you mean to me and to my peace of mind, or in the words of RJD piece of mind@!!!! Dang it all, you are the greatest!!!
Yep! I am in awe of all of them too and the rest of the members. You as well!
Now it is YOU and NOT CMH!!!!
Did you mean, CAH? =)
Yes, it was RJD that needs them, not me. He he!

I graduated last Friday and I had my school formal on Monday. Half of my friends are departing and going their separate ways. It's sad to see them go, but at least I can keep in touch with them on Facebook. My school formal was amazing. The atmosphere was electric. Everybody had the time of their lives.
Congratulations!

Working on getting rid of a nasty chest and head cold.
I hope you get well soon!!
did everyone call in for the Merry Chrtistmas podcast?
It was great last year and looking forward to hearing from you all again this year!
We called in!

My version of A Christmas Carol is better! Uh oh, here we go again on the great debate!

Busy busy on here last night! I think I am caught up. =)

I plan to buy some supplies for the grandkids to make gingerbread houses. I know they will enjoy doing that!

Party times at the Pines! Have fun!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It's going to be a warm but rainy day here in central Indy. I'm sitting here watching Santa Claus, The Movie. I love this movie. Especially the beginning. I have to do my normal cleaning this morning and then I'm going to sit down and make out a shopping list for tomorrow. I hope to be at the Pines early tonight to enjoy all of the festivities. It sounds like it's going to be one heck of a good time. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to add lots of baking goodies to your list. Remember, you and Snowflake are going to help me bake! I am sure some others here on MMC want to help?

Howdy Christmas family,

I just have something to say and normally I'm silly and abit goofy, but today I'm just as serious as I can be.

First off,Thanks to all for the prayers!! and thanks so much for the hugs and kind words, CM3, big giant hugs right back to you!!!!!!!! and for a few friends who messaged me a huge thanks to you too!! it means more than you will ever know.

things like this, little things,is why I love MMC. yes everyone has a facebook now a days, but how many "friends" really are there when you need just to vent or talk or whatever? here it's like we all are truly family and understand. up and downs, highs and lows, laughs and even a few tears, we care and love one another like crazy!!! and even the silly one's like me need cheering up from time to time. I think the LORD blessed us all the day he put it into Mr.Jeff's mind and heart to make MMC. I'm not always the best with words, but I know I am blessed with having to have met some of the nicest sweetest folks here on MMC and I am honored and blessed to call them all my friends and Christmas family. Just wanted to say that and now back to your regular scheduled programming of the Christmas Countdown forums...........LOL

I'll be back this evening,Happy Humpday all!

Good morning! The countdown is on! Five school days left.....FIVE. I so want a break I can't wait!

A well deserved break, at that! Having graduated from teachers college last year - and dying to even get on the supply teachers list in Ottawa, I can understand the need for a break from a school perspective!

11 Days until Christmas! Pines Day looks marvelous. I love the Open House look! Great to see everyone here!

Good evening,

Just finishing up some laundry before bed, I am tired tonight, watched the Bruins defeat the LA Kings (sorry Brent) We were supposed to be watching a Christmas movie, but as is always the case lately, life gets in the way. Back to work for noon tomorrow, where I start 6 days in a row, before my next day off. I am starting to get a little nervous about surgery next week though.

Have a great night

The Kings have been playing absolutely terrible since mid-November. It's no wonder why they fired Terry Murray. The strange part for this is that I was cheering for the Kings last night (I can never really say that I cheer against the Bruins), but I will be cheering for the Bruins tonight in Ottawa. I will be at the game with my roommate! I haven't seen the Bruins play since last October. Luckily, the Bruins are the only other team logo that I can spot - as I do watch about 30+ Bruins games per year and my dad has always been a diehard Bruins fan. Anyway, I am excited for the game! Hope you get to see it too, 365!

That could not have been said any better. MMC is such a dynamic and wonderful place. I am honoured to have the opportunity to spend time on here each day!

Uh oh! Does that mean that the coffee, tea, or twinkies will be flavored with red cabbage or meatloaf, and do we get a prize if we "eat like a piggy?"
