Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly here this morning. I have a quick post-op appointment in Chico, so I will be leaving soon. I have a bad headache which I am sure is lack-of-caffeine-related from yesterday. Hopefully, some jet fuel will kick me into high gear. Have a great day, everyone!!

I had my surgery late yesterday afternoon, but I kept my home computer on and posted immediately when we got home. Hubby thought that was funny. But I just HAD to be at the Pines. TTYL.

Time to leave for Chico. Some of the bandages will come off today. Hubby thinks my head looks like a mummy!!! I am not allowed to talk a lot for a week. Thank goodness for this forum!!! I can "talk" all I want!!! I better go take a pain pill before we leave.

What is next? Carl telling her that some of his coffee is really decaf and not telling us???
Or the other way around! Could you imagine being caffeine free for a long time, Carl telling you that you are "safely" drinking decaf only to find out you had 5 cups of regular coffee!

You would look like this! We better watch Carl, he is being a bit sneaky! =)

Christmasstar, are you going to keep that a secret too?

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, yesterday was hectic! Work was crazy, then Nancy called to say she couldn't take the kids to the dentist appointment, could I? Their dentist is 30 miles away, so I had to take off part of the afternoon for a quick trip. I was glad to see 5:00 yesterday, for sure!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Just talked to my mom and father in Oregon. My dad sounds better as in his frame of mind. He was more upbeat than earlier in the week. He gets so easily tired out in the Physical therapy, but he said he is moved up a number on thier scale. when he gets to a 5 he will get discharged. He is in a 2 in most things now. His dr's are amazed at how well he is doing since this happened just 38 days ago!( he was comotose the first week) he also broke his leg in the car wreck so he is getting the last of his casts off Monday. My mom had a few broken ribs and she still has a wrap she wears but I don't think it is all the time now... both mom and dad sounded very good just now over the phone..continued thanks for everyones prayers as they sure are working!!!.My siblings and some aunts/uncles are going to be able to visit with them all through the holidays and I of course will call them to wish them Merry Christmas while we wait on the little one to show up any day now....yes this is kind of the unoffcial way the Dr's is putting it now,she said everything is in place for him to make his debut!!!! 2 and a half weeks away! Okay need to start warming over the leftovers for dinner....tomorrow night I will grill steaks!

So happy to hear that your folks are doing so well!! And you & Brandi must be so excited for your little one's arrival! I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers!!

We are home from our quick trip to Chico. Just finished the facelift surgery. The laser stuff is killer. Almost cried. But it is feeling better. I must order some Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine to help ease the pain. Not even Carl's special blend could ease the pain!!!

Thinking of you! Hope you're doing much better today, and that your appointment goes well

Is it too late to get to the 'Pines tonight? I need some laughs. (Got an unpleasant surprise today that is worrying me.) I think I'll bring an old sack to sit on in case I want to go down the slide.

I think Humphrey and Carl are related.

Hope all is ok, MerryCarey. Sending good thoughts your way!

Good evening,

Tonight moved very quickly, but it was not busy customer wise, this has been the strangest December I have ever seen. Back I go in to work before the sun is up tomorrow, I have at least 4 meetings to attend, which really takes away from productivity because I have one employee who tends not to work as hard when I am not around, so this will be interesting tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my wife's birthday, I have already got her gift, just need to remember the cake. I am so tired tonight, just winding down from work. I did count 145 houses decorated with lights on my ride home, my ride is only 12 miles, just need to keep my eyes on the road a bit better when I stare at lights though.

Happy Birthday to your wife!!
Wow, 145 houses decorated! I miss those days, Wisconsin always did me proud!!
...Nevada, well let's just say I think there are a lot of scrooge's here, lol :(

Is anyone else having difficulty getting emails on thread updates?

Yes, now that you mention it, I haven't really gotten any lately.

Good Morning, Friends!!!

One more day until Friday, and then the weekend! Woohoo!

Made got me thinking about our Christmas Eve menu. BTW, thanks.. and yours sounds excellent Made!!!

I think we'll do a beef roast in the crockpot, and have a later dinner. That way, we can go to a Christmas Eve mass, and have dinner cooking while we're gone. I think we'll also do mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and some hot rolls. We'll save the ham for Christmas Day. Then, we'll do our traditional Christmas pizza for the Packer Game! Boy, my hubby will be outnumbered. My Parents are Packer fans, too. 3 Packer fans against 1 Bears fan :-D And we'll all be wearing our Rodgers jerseys!

Hope you all are doing well today! Sending hugs to each & everyone of you!
Furkids, too!

Have a jolly day!

Good afternoon, everyone!

10 Days Away from Christmas! As per tradition, the final day before we reach single digits is my mom's birthday! I spoke with her on Tuesday and she seemed excited for her birthday. After all, it will be her final working birthday as she will be enjoying her first day of retirement exactly two weeks from now. Good for her!

It is a little disappointing that I cannot spend some time with her on her birthday, but I am used to it. I guess it just makes me more excited to return on Sunday and decorate the tree. Thankfully, she doesn't like decorating the tree alone, so I will get to decorate my second Christmas Tree of the Season!

Today is my second last day of work for the year. I will be taking two weeks off to return home and then coming back right after New Years. It will be a very nice break! Tomorrow, we have a Christmas lunch scheduled, too, so I am suspecting that the lunch will take up at least an hour and a half of work.. I am hoping more! :) We shall see!

Well, I should get back to work. Lunch is pretty much over. Have a great Thursday, everyone! The weekend - and single digits to Christmas Day - are almost here!

I can almost smell it!! YUM! You're making me hungry, Brad!! And lunch is still an hour and a half away! cheesy

Can you believe Christmasstar not telling us? The very idea of allowing herself to be bribed. What is next? Carl telling her that some of his coffee is really decaf and not telling us???

you would be surprised at the secrets Carl has! If you want to know more show up at the Pines early, he is a very sneaky camel I have discovered and will do most anything to keep people quiet about it.

But I know for sure he would never ever mess with the coffee, apparently does not want to have to answer to Binger and Crown!

@gbulldawg....i love how your parents are doing so so so so so much better now!!!!! And I can just imagine how exited You must be about the baby coming....those last days are full of exitement...and torturing as well....but they sure are worth it!!! Babys are great and I am sure the exitement of having a new grandbaby is helping your mother and father to recover even faster

work was hard today...lots of mail coming....too much for just a parttime (halfday job) actually...but of course i wont complain about it to my boss.....everybody says, right after christmas the number of letters and catalogues and stuff will reduce.......so I will go through the next week knowing that...and that I will be off between xmas and new years eve....yay for the holiday....gosh how dumb....lol

Isn't it ironic that when the rest of the world catches up to Christmas, we have less time to spend in the forums?

OMG - I felt the same way, I just thought that last night... I said self!!! Tee Hee J/K no but I did think that... *sigh*

It must have been all that partying this past weekend here on the forums. Somebody must have messed with the buttons, or whatever it is that runs MMC!!!

All of my stitches were checked and everything looks good. I cannot believe the difference, especially my neck!!! I will never be mistaken for a Thanksgiving turkey again. Not too sure about any other kind, though!!! The only bummer is I have a horrendous headache that I had earlier this morning. SO, I guess that means I should try to take a nap. I bet I could even get Crown's approval for a fellow Tar Heel!
