Good Morning (or is it?). Woke up to frozen hot water pipes in just one of my bathrooms. I fear the worst of a possible pipe busted. The temperatures will not go above freezing until this weekend. This is not a common problem here so I am not sure what to do yet. I just hope nothing is broken. The cold water turns on but the hot water doesn't. I am just going to google to see what I can do in the meantime and then just wait and see.

On top of all of that I didn't sleep well last night. I am sleepy!

I hope you all have a great day today! cheesy

Good morning, Christmas friends. No snow or ice for us here in northern California, just sun! But I do remember lots of ice and snow when I was growing up in NC. When I was a student at ECU, school was never canceled. But I think it was the winter of 1968 classes were canceled because of an ice storm. You could hear branches breaking from the trees, so it was pretty dangerous. Of course it made great sledding weather! When you are that young, though, you don't really think about the dangers. I hope everyone has a great day, no matter the weather.

Wow, it's sunny and 70° here!

Good luck! I hope you don't have any trouble!

Well the chatter for the last day is posting. I felt a little out of place. If new people are reading this and feel that way don't! Don't hesitate to post and tell us! We are all quirky and welcome everyone. If you don't get what we are talking about don't worry, sometimes I don't either LOL. You can always ask and we will be more then happy to let you in on it. Again everyone is welcome here no matter how normal or how strange (I should know, I'm strange! haha). But today the storm hit us. Lots of wind and 5 feet snow drifts in our back yard. I have a picture Ill post when I get home hopefully. William was throwing fits before daycare (sheesh). We had a foot and a half of snow blow into the driveway. Hope everyone stays safe and warm (unless you are a polar bear!). Have a merry day all!

There is this big yellow ball in the sky. I think they call it a sun but it has been so long since I have seen it that I'm not sure if that's what it is. There are still 58,000 people here in indiana without power. I am praying that they can get it restored to all of them quickly because the wind is terrible.

hopefully it is not a broken pipe, we had one of those once and put 2 " of water all over the basement. (at least it was clean water!)

lots of cold people, hopefully the power will be restored quickly.
As for that yellow thing, are you sure it is not a street light?

Just noticed a weather bulletin flash on the TV, we are about to get even more snow and they are advising people stay off the roads.

Second day in a row working at home. They decided to close the office, but I got plenty of work via e-mail the first two hours of the workday. We're getting some freezing rain right now, so everything is a cold, slushy mess that will be freezing solid overnight. Anyway, at least I'm home, warm, and reasonably comfortable. Hope everyone is the same or soon will be.

Ahhhhh.....Fenway.....spring....Fenway frank....sitting in the CF seats in the shade of the scoreboard...all the way at the top....with the yanksis getting beat....ahhhhh....spring....baseball....come to ballcoach...come to ballcoach...

Red Sox dreamin' ... ahh ...

... fried chicken, fried quail, baked macaroni & cheese, black-eyed peas, rolls ...
Sounds wonderful ... do you deliver? It's getting close to lunchtime ...

Good Morning to western states, afternoon to eastern... I've got the coffee on and Cristmasstar has buns in the oven. cheesy What more do we need ? (well:-? other than electricity from outages, pick axes for the ice, shovels for the snow, wool blankets) ...
Stay warm everyone! Happy Ground Hog day, I hear Spring is on the horizon ! ! !

Well just got the word, I am going to work today.:-? Could use a day off, but oh well, if we didn't work I wouldn't get paid either, so I guess it's just as well. Hope everyone enjoys their day and stays warm.

That's what I hear....it showed up in the sky over my house yesterday and scared my dog. Oh well, at least the groundhog will NEVER see his shadow today; it's absolutely dismal outside.

Does anyone have a pickaxe they can bring me? I think that is the only way I will ever be able to get rid of all of this ice.

We are going through a rolling blackout here. They said it affect all of us and when our electricity goes out it can be out anywhere from 15-45 minutes.

They announced that Cowboys Stadium will be exempt from the rolling black out?

We should be ok when they turn ours off. Maybe it's a good time for a nap! cheesy

I have one, but cannot spare it until spring....I have a leaky eavestrough over the door and as a result have a steady supply of ice on the door step.
