Humboldt County has two feeds:

Humboldt County Fire, Law, EMS - Eureka and North Eureka & Arcata Police/Fire -- Humboldt Co Sheriff -- CHP -- CAL-FIRE -- Volunteer FDs -- City & Arcata/Mad River ambulances

Humboldt County Law, Fire, and EMS - Eureka and South Eureka, Eel River Valley and Southern Humboldt area - includes Police, Fire, EMS, Coast Guard and Airport traffic for central and southern Humboldt County. See feed links for agency list and technical information.

From the feed provider:

Evacuations and road closures of low-lying areas. ETA of any Tsunami beginning about 7:23 a.m. PST (10:23 a.m. EST). POWER TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD MAY BE CUT OFF AS A PRECAUTION.. IF THIS FEED GOES OFFLINE (9:48 CST)

It also looks like they may have a problem at one of their nuclear power plants.

It also looks like California may have gotten some damage from the tsunami.

My prayers go out to all of them.

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's already been a busy day, and the Rattlesnake Roundup isn't until tomorrow! My daughter was in a musical put on at school this morning, and it lasted until noon. Then we all went out to eat. I'm finally at work, and I have a few things to get done. Then I have to be at the masonic lodge at 5AM tomorrow cooking chickens for the church BBQ dinner fundraiser, then in line for the Snake Parade at 10AM, then at the Wildlife Club Facility at 12PM to see my daughter's dance recital, then...wait, I think that's all I have to do tomorrow. Whew!

such sad news about japan, let's hope and pray that hawaii stays safe and that nowhere else will be hit... i think mother nature has had enough of all the abuse she has suffered....

on a brighter note, i had my weekly starbucks fix today, a caramel macchiato... starbucks just reminds me of christmas? they now have a coco cappuccino that i have to try next week.
 
Good afternoon all! We are in the middle of a snow storm. It hit last night. Turned from rain to snow and its very very heavy snow. On the plus side I love snow and its friday! Woooooo!! Not much else is new. Work is busy today and we are missing some people due to the storm. As usual people are breaking their computers again today haha. Someone told me "You have to fix my computer, my mantra says so". They didn't have the warranty so I couldn't help them. Isn't a mantra something you say to calm you down??? Have a great friday everyone!!!

being only an hour down the road from you, we too have a lovely heavy layer of wet snow.
We are coming to London tomorrow so hoping the weather man is right and it all stops tonight. Going to watch a movie, "Mars needs Moms" at the rainbow cinema.

It certainly looks nice outside with this layer of fresh snow on everything!

I have seen some of the video of the quake and tsunami, the power is incredible and so scary at the same time, I will pray and keep that region and people of the world in my thoughts. We have friends that live in Hawaii, hopefully we will hear from them tonight.

Good evening,


Such sad news on the other side of the world, I heard about it while at work today. My wife is at a wake for her former high school basketball coach, he passed suddenly Tuesday from a massive stroke, he has 2 elementary school aged kids, I feel so bad for that family. I am home with my boys waiting for dinner to be delivered.
