Waking up to get ready for JP's birthday bash, we are doing it at a place for kids so no stress on our part to worry about our house and things getting broken by a bunch of 5, 6, 7 year olds.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a rainy morning here in central Indy. My niece's birthday party is today so I will heading out to my sister's house here shortly. It is hard to believe that she will be turning 4 on monday. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is overcast and rainy out today. Other than checking on Willa and the kittens, I'm thinking of staying home. There is free HBO this weekend and I just might sit down and watch a movie. Last night I watched 17 Again - I had the first good laugh I have had in over three weeks. Gotta love movies and how they can you a much needed break from reality!

Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend. We get an extra day off on Monday because our offices both observe Patriots Day (Massachusetts). We're having some friends over tomorrow that we haven't seen in a LONG time, so we'll be catching up with them in the afternoon and evening, and maybe showing some movies. Off to bed now ... sleep tight, folks.

Had to postpone the visit from our friends---Mr. is in bed with an awful cold ... But the long weekend will give him a chance to rest. He's been working too hard.

I just got back from running a 3k race benefiting the SPCA. It was my first race and a lot of fun. I loved running along side all the dogs that were out there! I can't wait to do it again.

So, I just don't get it! When my dogs are asleep, I don't start running around the house yelling and screaming! Why, oh why do they do that to me on a Saturday morning? When I get up to let them out...they look at me as if to say...."Why don't you go outside Dude....it's cold!" I love them, but today when they are napping, I'm going to bark as loud as I can....maybe my wife will think I have officially lost it!

Can you guys believe we are 1/2 way through April? I can't! April is exciting to me because we get into the 100's for the season, but we also get under 100 days until I start preparing for Christmas. I start doing something on the weekends during August, so it's right around the corner for me....just a little over 100 days!

Good Morning Christmas Family !!!!!


IT'S A MIRACLE - I SLEPT LIKE A LOG !!!!!!

On the very wise advice of our beloved Christmas A Holic AND gabulldawg I purchased some melatonin because ever since I started night shift, I haven't really been sleeping very well.

I took 5 mg last night and though it did not make me sleepy, I was drowsy naturally within about 30 minutes. I slept the whole night long !!!!!!!! So THIS is what it feels like to wake up rested ?? !!!

How weird !!!!

I am so thankful for the help and suggestions. Hopefully the melatonin will help me this week when I have to sleep during the day !!

Nothing big planned today. Today is weigh in at Jenny Craig. It is going on 2 years and I haven't gained anything back !!!!! Another miracle.

I am starting on my "Holy Week doldrums", a sadness I get every year at this time. I won't talk about it here because I think it belongs in my blog.

JP's party was very much a success, he had a great time and got some very cool gifts. LC loved the playscape especially when I went in it with him. Got to meet some of JP's friends parents, so that is a good thing. Rain moving in tonight through tomorrow, they are saying inches of rain. I hope everyone down south epecially Crown in the Raleigh, NC area and RJD in Alabama and anyone else are safe after reading about the severe weather they received in those respective areas.

Watching the hockey game right now and it is not looking too good right now, 20 minutes left lets hope the B's turn it around or it will start to look like an early summer vacation may be coming their way.

These storms have left death and destruction since they left Oklahoma and Kansas. Central Alabama was hit by the system as it moved out of Central Mississippi.

Yesterday we had heavy rain and strong straight line wind in Northern Alabama. No real damage to speak of and thank God, no injuries or fatalities.

Crown was in the path today. Maybe we'll hear from them soon.
