Good Morning MMC !

Here I try to sit, ouch, try to go for a walk, more ouch, standing or lying down are ok, but boring. So much to do with my daughter moving this weekend.

Advice for you all, don't ever break your tail bone, it is a real pain in the....well, you know!

A town south of us was hit by tornados. They are not sure how much damage yet.

We have been under a tornado watch for quite some time now - so far no emergency broadcast alerts on the radio.

Stay safe everyone!!!!!!!!

It is insane here. 3 tornadoes in a 30 mile radius in the past hour. Crazy. They say the worst won't be here til midnight! Agh! Had a tornado rip through a town yesterday close to here (about 90 miles). It was a mile wide! Got a couple of friends who live there, tragic. 10 people dead. Thankfully, my friends are safe.

See ya in a bit! Going to get some coffee....

Ugh, I hope this crazy weather passes soon.. thinking of you all!

Happy anniversary, xmas365!!!!!!
Hope ya feel better, Christmasstar. I bruised my tailbone when I had Noel and MAN - that was sooo painful for ages!!! Every once in awhile, the pain comes back (8 months later!)

I finally gave in and brought the fan up from the basement, it was in the mid-70's today and I feel like I am melting. I could never make it down south with the heat you receive down there.

I can't handle it, either!!! :snowball:

I sympathise!! I went skating once when I was younger and hit a rough patch of ice (it was outside) and next thing you know I was sitting on the pointy back bit of the blade.

My eyes still water when I think of it and even to this day, there are times it twinges!!

and here I thought I would be all better in 2 weeks! :-? Oh well, I will just have to get used to standing a lot.

been at the Zoo today and Frankfurt and picked up my boyfriend from the airport....he finally came back from Cameroon....he was supposed to be coming back on the 13th of April...he couldnt come because doctor s thought he has the cholera.....it turned out to be a terribly agreessive stomach flu....but not the cholera...so he is back and we are happy
Good to hear that everything is OK!

Good evening,

Watching the Bruins vs Canadiens game now, intense game but the score is tilted in the wrong direction, plenty of time left though. I am feeling quite lousy right now, and my shoulder is still bothering me a bit. Tomorrow will be my wife and I's 9th wedding anniversary, I can't believe how fast that has gone. I of course won't see much of her as it is my night shift day, and I have inventory to do, blaaah!

Have a great night and stay safe.
Happy anniversary!

I injured mine when I was younger and it was very painful! I hope you heal real soon!

Things cleared up last night around 2:00 am. We have one more day of this mess and then we are good until Saturday. It is supposed to move in at 10:00 and should be gone by six. That makes me nervous...having kids at school with this type of weather.

What a scary thought - hope all stays safe your way!

Good morning!

Another round of storms headed in this direction, but the predicted rain is now down to half an inch for today and half an inch for tomorrow. That is good news!

I was sleeping by eleven and missed all the activity going on in the house - Mouse was hunting and there were some thunderstorms so Bo was barking. The melatonin is working - so nice to get at least four hours of sleep a night and in a row! I have been having some very strange dreams, though!

Finally finished that afghan. I took out all the fringe and did one row of single crochet on the top and the bottom to give it a finished look. I'm glad it is done and the best part is that I was using up some odd yarn colors that I have bought over the years. I have some of that yarn leftover so I am going to start a scrap afghan. That should be a lot of fun to do and take a few years for me to get done :)

It looks like there is going to be some more severe weather today. I will be praying for all those in path of the storms!! Stay safe!!!!!!!

Have you ever tried edging an afghan with reverse single crochet (a.k.a. crab stitch)? It makes a pretty edge. I don't like making fringe at all, so I'm always edging my afghans in other ways.

Scrap afghans are wonderful, and fun to work on. Except that when you use up your stash, you have to make a few projects before you have enough leftovers to make another scrap afghan!

I'm working on a "film afghan" now. It looks like three strips of movie film side by side (with real sprocket holes), with solid color in between and around the strips. There's a round that looks like marquee lights before the border. It's a pattern I devised---I think I've made 15 or 16 of 'em as gifts and auction items.

I love a window unit in the bedroom. I could sleep all day to that humming sound.
Oooooo! Gotta get me one of those!

And with that peaceful thougt, Good Morning, Everyone.

HEY!
MILESTONE DAY!! (Second day in a row!)

Yes sir!
Days to the Season: 200
Days to Christmas Day: 242
The curtains have parted, that 200-day Season Window has opened and the sunlight of the 100's is shining in!

But what isn't shining?
The sun here, for one.
Rain is falling in the capital city at this hour where we have again reached the low 70's (actually, the cloud cover kept the temps up all night).
Mid-80's are again predicted for this afternoon with possible severe weather tomorrow. Fortunately, they still say it's a much weaker system than the tornado-laden one of the weekend before last!

Well, fair weather or foul, the show must go on at the Shispering Pines.
Remember, Carl is offering an extra free glass of sweet southern iced tea in honor of Holiday's good news and rumors abound of a new coffee blend.
(This time, Carl has been VERY tight-lipped and I have no idea what it's based on. Not sure I even WANT to know!)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

I'm sorry. That sounds so painful, hope it heals quickly.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We've been contemplating putting in a swimming pool for the kids. Not an in-ground pool (WAY too expensive), but still a professionally installed above-ground type. It's a lot of $$ for a simple guy like me. It's not just the pool, but the new decking, adding onto the privacy fence (trust me; you do not to see this in a Speedo), and all the other "extras".
"Oh, you want a ladder so you can get out of the pool? That'll cost you."
"Oh, you want to be able to vacuum out the dirt from the bottom? That'll cost you."

I'm just sort of teasing. The guy we're buying from is a good friend of mine, and I know he's making us a good deal. I'm still not convinced we should spend the money, though. We'll see how it works out.

It's overcast here this morning, with a good chance of rain. I hope those of you in the path of the storms are doing well.

Have a great day, everyone! cheesy

I don't like taking anything to help me fall asleep for that one reason the strange dreams. I have never tried melatonin, but I don't like the fog and strange dreams caused by Nyquil, and a few years ago my Dr prescribed vicodin to me and it made the pain subside and made me relax but the dreams it caused were strange to absolutely frightening

Good morning,

Sitting here listening to my recorded Music Choice Christmas music, just needed something Christmasy on it instantly relaxed me listening to Winter Wonderland when it is 70 something degrees outside. I still have a few things saved from Christmas on the DVR, my wife has asked me when are you going to erase it, I tell her I'm not, I need inspiration for that future store, gotta keep the eyes on the prize. She just rolls her eyes at me and laughs and calls me obsessed. I guess I am a little, but there are a lot more things to be obsessed over that are worse than Christmas and the feeling it brings. Thanks to all who have said happy anniversary to myself and the mrs, 9 years is longer than my parents made it, and we have been together for a total of 11 all together. Working tonight so no going out for the big day, and no watching the game, inventory is one of my biggest responsibilities and I can't miss it, we will have to have a date very soon to celebrate.

Have a Christmasy day!
