Sometimes I get so frustrated, my older boy went to my in laws overnight on Saturday, he likes to play video games with his uncle and his uncle lets him borrow games, in the past it has been games like Super Mario Sunshine or race car games, he started playing a video game today after he did his homework and I was shocked at how violent it was. We shut it off right away, and he took another game out we read it and it was above his age group once again. I just cannot believe they let him play these games. He is more mature with somethings for his age, we will let him watch some movies with some mild language but he knows what words he is not allowed to say (He does not get to see movies with the f-word, s-words, a-word, etc...) This is not okay and I am very upset about it. My wife already spoke to them and they apologized about it.

Am I crazy for keeping my tree lit in the window on January 10? I use to feel self conscious for keeping my tree up and on in front of the window for so long, but since I have joined here I feel like I could keep the tree going a lot longer and be proud of it.

No. You are most certainly NOT crazy !!! The most beautiful site in Winter is the glowing presence of a Christmas tree!!! Pishaw on people who think it should be taken down !!

Just finished watching the Bruins vs Penguins, great game, great comeback win for the Bruins. I have tomorrow off and hopefully get back to work on Wednesday, since I have only worked 3 out of the last 19 days, due to vacation, and this virus. My eyes are getting heavy now, I hope I will sleep through the night, I really need to at this point.

Hi Christmas family. I just wanted you to know that my Goblin passed away today. It turns out he had lymphoma and I didn't even get to say goodbye. Thank you for all your love and concern. Maybe I will write more later. I can't focus right now.

Goblin is now in the capable hands of Mr. Greenjeans up on the Morris Wing! He is hanging out with Leah, Buster, Ziggy, and Lizzie.

I am pulling for Seattle in the playoffs now!!!!!! They got all of their losing done in the regular season and now they are going to go on a roll. :lol:


I just got done reading about Vickers. It is good to see that he is okay now and that he is cleared to be back in the car. Junior will be testing all next week. They will be at New Smyrna on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then they will head to Daytona for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Speed Channel is supposed to cover the Daytona test sessions live and hopefully Junior will be out there leading the pack.

I had a busy day yesterday. Church then work. It snowed all day while I was at work but I was in good company with my co-workers. We have great big windows that we could see it coming down all day. There was a real nice blanket of snow on the grass as I was leaving late afternoon. My house is about 5 miles west of my job. The closer I got to my house, the less snow I saw! By the time I got home it was a dusting of snow all over the grass, not completely covered like it was at work. What a difference 5 miles makes!

oh that's a shame, I hope snow will visit you at home as well! but it is great you got to enjoy it at work!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is freezing here in northern California. Frost is on the ground and roofs, and ice is on all the car windshields. Oh, how I wish it would snow! But, alas, it is not predicted. Hmmm. Wonder if our predictions will prove false and it actually will snow? I can hope, can't I?

The kids were bouncing off the walls when we got the automated message last night about school being cancelled today. My wife's office is without power, too. Too bad I couldn't be home with them today.

I have had a hard time deciding what I want to do with the money given to me for my Birthday but I think I have decided on two things but will have to save some extra money to get them.
One is a Possible Dreams Santa kneeling at the Baby Jesus
and the other is a Thomas Kinkade Star tree topper that actually has Santa "flying" around the top of the tree.

Well, got back from a weekend in the NC mountains. Great family get together we do every year at this time. Whiteout conditions made it impossible to get down the mountain to go snow tubing on Sat. but the kids had a blast sledding on the driveway.

sounds like an amazing weekend!!

Just got back from the Dr. he says I have an upper respiratory infection or basically a severe cold, I just have to let it pass since it is viral.

This one has really knocked me on my butt.

I just got 1 of the 2 exam results I was waiting for, and that one i passed I am having a very small party here on my own, I am so amazing, and glad and feeling more confident in myself! Now waiting for the other one, but if I have to retake one, that's not too bad, at least I have got 1 down

Hope you guys are glad for me as well! still keeping my fingers crossed for the other one!!
