Good morning, Christmas friends. I have MCR on right now, the whole house fan is cooling the (well) whole house down, and I did not skip my coffee like Bradmac did! I got up a little early today just to finish up some computer stuff and to work on scrapbooking. I haven't really felt like it lately, but I want to make a book to hold cards for each month of the year. That way, you can put B-Day cards or anniversary cards in the pockets and be ready to send the cards. I hope everyone has a great day. Congratulations to Xmas365 for a well-deserved honor!!

Happy 1/2 way to Christmas Day!!!!! Hope this finds everyone doing well! I'm just as excited as I can be!

Yesterday was Mom's Day. She turned 59! Everyone probably has a big bash on 60, but no one expects a 59th birthday bash! My brother, who lives 5 hours away, and I have planned a little family cookout this afternoon. He is about one hour out. I've been spending the past day cooking dip, sausage balls, desserts, etc. for our little cookout. I'm stoked.

She's a special lady. I'm thankful that she still is a parent to me by providing me with advice from her standpoint. Sometimes I don't like hearing what she says, but it's her perspective and she always speaks it honestly, whether or not it's what I want to hear.

God bless Moms everywhere. Where we would be without them?

See yall later tonight for coffee.

I hope your mom enjoyed the Birthday Bash!!!!!!

Any word on HSN or ShopNBC Christmas sales yet?

HSN is still looking like July 20th but they haven't released their schedule for July yet. ShopNbc has released their schedule through July 16thand nothing yet. I would say that we will have theirs by the end of next weekend.

For our Canadian friends- It looks like The Shopping Channel is going to air Christmas in July programming on July 25th.

Hey Christmas friends!

Happy half way to Christmas! I haven't been around much this last week as I am spending a lot of time helping the hubby with our last minute remodel of the kitchen. Last Sunday, we decided to tear down all of the drywall and replace it in the kitchen. So now, a week later, we just have sanding and painting left! Woo hoo! We're headed off to church and then DH is going to come home and sand while I take DD to my parents to go swimming. Then I'll finally clean up all of the mess when I get home. Tomorrow will be priming, Tuesday painting and Wednesday we'll hang the cabinets back up. Then Thursday we're having a BBQ with approx. 50 people coming over! Nothing like cutting it to the last minute!

With all of this talk about watching Home Alone, I realized that it has probably been 5+ years since I have watched that! I'm going to have to try to find that to add to my collection. DD is almost 4, and I think she would love it for the entertainment now and grow to love it for what it means about Christmas and family later on.

My dad got home from his mission trip to the Ukraine late, late last night and I'll be happy to see him!

Well, I'm off to get the family ready for church. We're on the downhill slide to Christmas now, so lets get ready to enjoy the ride! What a fun season we have ahead of us!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be a warm day here in central indy with some storms popping up throughout the day. I am going to go meet some friends for lunch after church and then it will be back home to watch the nascar race. I hope everyone is having a Great Day!!!!!!!!!

Good morning! Xmas, Congrats on the award!!! Well-deserved!

Party yesterday was simply wonderful! Haven't seen my brother since Christmas. We all visited, cooked out, and had homemade ice-cream! Yum! Then, after all that, he informed us that he planned on making his girlfriend part of our family (she was with us). After they left, Mom wanted to go to Garden Ridge, so my parents, wife, and I loaded up and headed out. Guess what?

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!!!!

They didn't have up many, but they had about four rows cleared and sticky notes hanging up about what was supposed to be where! Great! Got a picture! Can someone message me and let me know how to post pictures on here?

Have a great Sunday. Hope to be around for the chat!

**********MILESTONE DAY**********

Good Morning, Good Morning!!

Hey, hey, hey! Today's the day!
HALF WAY BACK TO CHRISTMAS!
Days to the Season: 140
Days to Christmas Day: 182
Yes Sir! It's halftime.
But no time to rest.
No halftime show.
It's straight ahead into the 3rd quarter!

Sunny here with a slight breeze and little chance of rain today.
It was a bit cooler yesterday with lower humidity but already just past 80 here this morning.

OK, Friends.
You have a Superlatively Super Sunday today!
Get ready to start moving through the 2nd half of our journey tomorrow.

I know we had this conversation awhile back but Wayne and I finally bought our first flat screen tv. We are so behind on times. Ha ha! We said we would invest in one when one of our old tv's go out. I saw no need in getting a new one when ours worked fine. The one in our bedroom finally gave out.

We might have to exchange it because the picture will just suddenly go blank but we still have sound. That's not good seeing it's our first flat screen and already having problems. :-?

No worries, we will get one that works! cheesy
Uh oh, not a good first impression of flat screens, huh??! LOL!

Hey - Christmas movies in HD this year, wahoo!

OMG Brad.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Stop and have coffee,,,,

YABBA!
YES - that is what travel mugs are for!!!! :rudolph:

you can buy books already made for that purpose. I have seen them in the dollar store here.

Eventhough I seem to be to busy to be on here, I do think a lot about you guys, so I came to say hello. Also, I met Christmas on my summer vacation and I wanted to tell you guys;
Me and my boyfriend went on summer vacation to Iceland, an extremely beautiful country, which nature is so different from anything else I have ever seen, I would strongly advise any one who has the chance to visit it. It was wonderously amazing. Some days we were there, my boyfriend had to attent a congres, which is why we had the opportunity to visit a country that expensive (both the flight, the stay and the food was expensive), so I strolled through Reykjavik on my own.
On the very first day, I came across a Christmas store, an amazing little shop entirely filled with christmas items, open all year, even though Reykjavik doesn't have much of a shopping centre, Christmas was well represented, and i went back every day. Of course I didn't fail to take pictures, and the wonderous thing was that the girl working there, was unable to speak english, and evidently tourists never came in, even though the city was flooded with tourists. In the hotel, one of the girls who worked there, told me that Christmas is a very important part of the Islandic culture and in Iceland, they believe in 12 Yulelads, who each visit on a different day of Christmas :) I did not know this at all :) In the end, I bought some christmas cookie cutters, a christmas chefs hat&kitchen apron, and a christmas towel, all these things you won't find in Holland :D

Of course I didn't fail to take pictures, but i lost the lead from my phone to my computer, so it'll take a while before i can upload them...
I did have an amazing summer break!

hi gang,

those of you that read my post regarding my aunt... i'm afraid our prayers weren't answered this time. my beautiful aunt was taken from us last night. i'm in a state of shock, it came from nowhere, she had a stroke and left us within hours. her health good and she was very active and busy (she had a bypass may years ago but we still never dreamed this could happen)

my cousins are just desperately losing hope, they feel they can't cope without their mum, we all feel that way actually, she was the one everyone turned to in times of need. she was too young for this to happen to her.

i feel so angry, why did it have to be her? why weren't my prayers answered??? i know i'll never understand until i'm no longer here, but at this moment i'm angry and feel like i need answers.

thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. i'm trying to stay hopeful and positive and be strong as i believe everything happens for a reason, i just wish i knew what that reason was.

WE are here for you!!! I lost my favorite aunt too; I was named after her, so I feel your pain. Check out the stages of grief. You are right where almost everybody gets after a loss. Thinking and praying for you!

But what were your Aunt's prayers??? Maybe they were different from yours!
