Afternoon all!

Im on my lunch break at work. Good day so far. Almost done. About 4 hours left of my shift. I bought my first Christmas presents!!!! Some dvds for my Wife and a rolling pin that she wanted. Also got my Son a Thomas dvd at Walmart for cheap. This saturday is the party. Then Sunday we are going to the Sun Fest here in London Ontario. Anyone else going this weekend? Might see you there! heh. This morning on the way to daycare William asked for ice cream LOL. Well. Time to finish my lunch. Have a great day and like Santa...Ill be watching! Oh and a quote that popped into my head from Home Alone 2 is "Get outta here you nosy little pervert or I'm going to slap you silly!...awwww yourrr cooookin frannnkieee" lol

I agree it's disrespectful for those who ignore and chatter during the anthem.

We had a patriotic service at church on Sunday and we sang the National Anthem, I got chills singing it. It really does move me.

I love watching the Olympics for the very same reason that when the United States win and we hear our Anthem. I feel happy for other countries as well because I know the pride they feel when they hear theirs.
same problem here, no matter where you live there will always be those who have never been taught to show respect.

if I did not have the cake competition this weekend we would go. Have fun!

Morning! I need some more coffee. Noel is teething again and sleep is... rare over here. I am so tired! It's been a week or more of not great sleep and I'm feeling it after a busy weekend of cookouts!

How was everyone's 4th?

I sympathise, Emelia's back teeth have just broken through and the poor little thing has been up on a night in pain with them.

We did too. But to be honest, it is a wretched song to sing. Anyone who has any musical training knows how awful of a song that is to sing and then to try to get through it when you throw the emotion into -- well, it is a disaster.

We also sang America the Beautiful and that song, especially the 2nd verse, gets me every time.

If I could write like this I'd be a gazillionaire...even reading this I get choked up...

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

Good evening!

Just as I suspected, no phone call and no jobs posted when I was finally able to log on - oh, well. I guess I will be working this weekend cheesy

Got a lot of housework done - tomorrow I am going to spend the day with my cousin so that she can have a bit of a break from her autistic son. My pot of Honey orange chicken smells good - a new recipe I am trying. I eliminated the butter and most of the salt and am using vegetable pasta instead of linguine to make it healthier.

Have a great evening!!!!!

You are such a good cousin, again! That chicken sounds yummy!

Man, I don't know what it is about the heat, but it wears me out! I suppose it has nothing to do with the 3 miles I jogged today, the yard I worked in, and the fact that I slept about four hours last night. Needless to say, I'm off to bed. Night yall!

Good Morning MMC !

kitchen is clean again, except for the floor, still have to do the floor:-?
but, that is what I get for not feeling like doing it all last night!

Good Morning!

Back to my full schedule. My daughter and son-in-law are back to work today and the grandkids will be over soon. I sure do miss them!

I hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning, Fellow Christmas Travelers.

Onward we march down that long road that somehow is seeming much shorter of late:
Days to the Season: 130
Days to Christmas Day: 172
The 2/3 Season Milestone is one week from tomorrow, Guys.
(Just think about that a moment. TWO thirds!)

Calm here with a muted sun.
The birds are singing, but no barking dogs, screaming children or the sound of slurping. (I'm sure THAT'S coming later.)
We stand at 78 currenly.

Hey! Hey! Hey!
Today's the Day!
(Shispering Pines Day, that is.)
Hungry for that Fired Twinkie or Twinkling? Thirsty for that first tall one of Sweet Southern Iced Tea?
Then make tracks post haste for Carl's little haven.
Holiday and I hope to see you there soon.

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be another hot one here in central Indy. I have to babysit my youngest niece again today and that means everything I cleaned yesterday will get trashed again today. I also need to go to the grocery store tonight after my niece gets picked up. Then it will be time to head to the pines for some relaxation. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Wenesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We're back from our long weekend in the mountains, and we LOVED it! The weather was beautiful, it never got over 85°. What a blessing! We didn't really do much, opting for a lazy trip this time. We did run over to Cherokee (near mgramsey's hometown) and floated down the Oconaluftee River on rented tubes. That was fun and the water was COLD. Nice!

I'm trying to catch up on posts, so I'll brb. It's good to be home...both in Bellville AND here!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy
