My sons' grandma (their father's mother) passed away today. She's been sick for a very long time. Its been many years since I've seen her - but I still feel very sad...and I feel very sad for my boys.

My prayers go out to all of you.

I sort of hurt my ribs again, but I don't know how. I think I twisted around too hard.

I hope they are feeling better today.

It's a great day! Just got back from court and the judge has terminated our foster baby's parental rights so she is officially ours. The adoption should take about 6-9 months of just paperwork. No more court dates. The hard part is over

Wow a lot went on between last night & now!!! I was smiling & laughing at all the cute and crazy posts!!! What awesome news some have had and some great encouragement too!!!

One hundred days...How cool is THAT??? I've had a real dose of the Christmas feelings these past days...I bought a batch of CD's at a garage sale, sight unseen, and it turns out this person had a great collection of Classical Music Christmas Albums...That's an area that has been lacking in my collection...So I added them all to my iPod and am now selling them over on Amazon.com hopefully at a profit so I can then by more and do the same thing...That sounds alot nuttier than it feels...:busy:

We did it!!!! We tied the record with 19 consecutive days at or above 90 degrees. Now the question is will we break the record tomorrow or will the forecast be right and it only reach 89 degrees.

I know what you mean about getting excited to see Christmas decor in the stores. To get to my work - I have to walk by tons of stores. Its like a ginormous mall underground. Well...my mind is really going into over-drive these days picturing everything with Christmas decorations! I cannot wait!!!

Well, Carl outdid himself yesterday.
In light of the passing of last year's thread post record (which Carl says he had already calculated would occur on Wednesday, open house day at the 'Pines) ALL the Fired Twinkies and Twinklings you could eat were free with the purchase of a single glass of Sweet Southern Iced Tea (um.....or Coffee.....your choice).
That sentimental -- and generous -- camel!
I heard this came out of his own pocket.
(Hmmmm......Do camels even have pockets?)

Yes, It was another great crazy Wednesday at the Pines! Carl not only declared all the fired twinkies as free with a beverage but he also delivered them to where ever you were relaxing! Thanks Carl!
He may not have pockets, but I bet the hump holds alot!

I first have to thank all you kind Christmas souls for all your well-wishes and condolences. Everyone seems to be holding up well. The boys' Grandma was sick for quite a long time - that I think they understand that she is now in a better place, without pain - and riding horses again (she was a rider in her time).

Today is my eldest son's birthday! He's 28 years old today. I cannot believe where the time has gone! And now his first child (my granddaughter) is due on October 13th!

We are coming up on 100 days to the Season, eh? Isn't that amazing (and very exciting)! Mind you...like I always say...its always the Season in my mind!

Our Granddaughter is coming for the weekend! Hubby picks her up tomorrow. Gotta get some rest tonight - as its going to be non-stop action this weekend! She's quite an active 3.5 year old!
