And with this post, Meceka is poster #18,100. For her efforts, she wins a pile of autumn leaves!!!!!

Thank you, Seawaters! There is something about a pile of fall leaves - I cannot resist jumping in the middle of them and throwing them up in the air in joy

CM3: ((((HUGS)))) and prayers for Wish and you, too!

Good morning, Christmas family!

Today I am decorating the booth for FALL - what fun! When I get home, I get to start planning my Christmas booth decor and displays

Have a merry day - I will keep all of you in my prayers!!!

Good Morning, MMC friends! Happy Friday!!

What are your plans for the weekend?

My husband and I will be catching up on yard work, grilling out with friends, celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary, and decorating for Fall! So excited!

... whatever your plans, please be safe & have a wonderful holiday weekend!!!

Good Weekend Eve Morning, Friends of the Holidays in general and Christmas in particular.

Wellzers, we are really moving along through our countdown journey:
Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114
Two weeks from today, Folks - the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone!
Wow. In a scant 2 weeks, both of our counts will have dwindled down into double-digits.
(Won't things start to move fast then!)

A bit overcast here at this hour but no rain is predicted.
We stand right on 70 degrees at this moment.
(Another nice walking morning!)

Well, the Crowns are off to the Crystal Coast this afternoon to inspect the aftermath of Irene. Will be back Monday afternoon.
If someone could handle the count for Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings, it would be appreciated by all (and a deadly gap prevented!)

See you here Tuesday.
And in the meantime, have a Fabulous Friday and a Luscious Labor Day Weekend, Everyone!

Maybe I'll go to a craft store or two this weekend to see if the Christmas yarns are out. My stash of leftover yarn is almost gone (I made a scrap afghan), so I have to start a new project. Maybe I'll crochet a Christmas afghan! I've got several patterns I haven't tried. Throughout the summer I work on hats and scarves, then in November I send a box to an association for the homeless.

How nice! Bless your heart! cheesy

For my friends who don't hunt, please don't think ill of me. I grew up hunting, and I just love it!
But dude! What about Bambi!? Just pickin on ya! I could never ever ever hunt but I don't think ill of those who do. I would probably cry if I had to shoot anything. =(

Enjoy your time hunting! =)
Go to store.
Look for peanut section.
Find bag of planters trail mix.
Take to register and buy. cheesy
Smarty pants!

I hope there is not too much damage!

I could do Saturday and Monday if someone would cover Sunday. I might be on Sunday but it's not always a guarantee.

That is very nice of you to do!

I can handle the count down for you...

Good morning everyone... this past week has been a whirlwind between work, kids football/cheerleading practices and getting things ready for them to start school on Tuesday. I took their first 2 days of school off so I can get them on the the buses and make sure everything is good. I will also be spending that time cleaning the house and purging - we have so much stuff that it is starting to clutter and I hate that.

I am so getting into the fall and christmas mode here. Going to go out his weekend and look for a couple christmas gifts.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Do you mind me asking what is your role in preparing for the Anniversary of September 11th? I think you mentioned somewhere about it but I don't remember what you do.

Not at all, I am with the construction company that is currently re-building the WTC.

(here is a link that for construction updates and a ton of info http://www.lowermanhattan.info/construction/project_updates/freedom_tower_26204.aspx)

Well, they wanted certain accepts completed for the upcoming anniversary and with the The National September 11 Memorial opening on the 10th anniversary we had a lot of "kinks" to work out. It was designed to outline the original WTC sites building foot print, and with the waterfalls, it has been completed but, as with anything it needed adjustments. It is such a beautiful memorial everyday I pass it (we are now on the 50th floor our offices) as we are at steel on the 80th floors now, pouring foundation/concrete in the 60th floor level now. It is now down to the wire, the Architect is completing what in construction we call a punch list - which is his comments/suggestions/and finishing of the site. We are also setting up with the staging company all the memorial props. The Callery pear rescued and it is the surivor tree has been a work in progress but it is showing new growth, thank God! And maybe this will give a new light to lawyers everywhere a little known story next door to the Tribute WTC Visitor Center, outside the firehouse on Greenwich Street at Liberty, is the Fire Department of New York Memorial Wall. The firehouse, home to Ladder Co. 3, Engine Co. 10, lost five firefighters on 9/11, but the wall is a tribute to all firefighters who died. It was a gift from the law firm Holland & Knight and also honors one of the firm's partners, Glenn J. Winuk, a volunteer firefighter and medic from Jericho, N.Y. He helped evacuate the firm's offices near the World Trade Center, then raced to the towers to help. Winuk died when the south tower collapsed. It is going to be a heart wrenching day. But, who knows God has a funny way of stepping in and making us grow and learn - I won't say heal as we never will in this lifetime, but maybe as time goes by, and like when I read about D-Day, Pearl Harbor, & JFK, it will be history of what took place, not painful like those who lived through it, but a knowing sadness and of pride that yes we did re-build, we did grow from love, we did move forward because the world came together of a moment in time.

I just watched on Discovery Channel, last night, regarding the rebuilding of the WTC. I also saw the story behind the pear tree. There was 3 different shows on back to back and it was very interesting to watch.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Good afternoon, everyone. It was hot today (surprise, surprise). The kids worked hard today, and so did I. Tomorrow is assessment day (spelling, vocabulary, comprehension), plus math games day!! Have a great evening.

Math games... OK I know I should be way super excited but I cannot for the life of me muster that up!!! SORRY SEAWATERS!!!! Can't we have a VOCAB GAME DAY!!!! Now, that I can get into :):???:

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is going to be really hot here today. It started out at 80 degrees before the sun rose. Plus we have hot winds blowing already! UGH! Have a great day. Wasn't Lauriebear's explanation of her work interesting? Loved it!

CM3--Thinking of you and sweet Wish. Glad to hear Wes is doing so much better.

I have to sky out to get to school. Will try to reread some posts to reply to. Would you look at that count?

No problem, but those camera crews and show can I just say UGH!!!!!!!!! What Magoo's they are they try to film where they are not suppose to and mainly because it is dangerous!!! But, I do enjoy watching them too, I haven't had time I did record the one with George W. Bush but I have been meaning to watch them.

It's not all altruistic ... I enjoy crocheting, and the stuff I make has to go somewhere, so I'm happy they want my hats and scarves! When it starts getting cooler, I make afghans. It's a very cozy winter hobby---the bottom half keeps me warm while I work on the top half!
