Christmas Countdown - 2011

What a fabulous day!

Undrtkr, I just got through putting all my fall decorations out! Happy happy! I couldn't wait any longer!

The weather is so awesome! I have all the windows open and can breath the fresh air.

Fall decorations are up, I am burning a pumpkin candle and watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is on my mind big time right now! :piggyback: Just can't get any better than that!
 
It has been hot and muggy here all day today. We did get some rain but not enough to really make a difference. I am so ready for the cooler AND colder weather. I meant to tell everyone that I got through my surgery ok but it seems I only made it as far as the chatbox here on the forums. SOrry about that. I walked 4 miles today and it felt great, did that this morning before the temp started raising up. I was over at Spirit yesterday and hubby and I were looking at a few goodies we would like to get BUT then I remembered that we are saving back for a new tree this year. I do not buy those cheaper Wal-Mart trees. NOOOOO I have to go out and drop a couple of hundred for a tree that has a lifetime warranty. LOL!!! We are tearing our old tree apart and using it for other things, but the top of it is gunna end up as a tabletop tree for our upstairs landing this year. I am trying out some new stuff this season and I will be sure to take pictures. I already have my cards done, all I need to do is put on the mailing label and stamp and out they go.
Hubby goes back to work tonight, after having the past two weeks off due to my surgery last month, he is not happy. LOL he said this morning that I should have asked the nurse to put three weeks on my letter but i nicely told him that he may have to take time off for his mom. they found another set of cancerous tumors in her lungs and there has been talk of removing the whole right lobe and he is going to need time off for that.
Hobby Lobby and dollar trees here have their Christmas stuff out already and I want to go over there here in a few weeks to not only get my exchange partners goodies BUT stuff for here as well.
Ok Christmas Kookies I am off for now. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening. I will try to check back in more often.

That sounds so fun putting up the fall decorations. I think I may start to do that tomorrow. I am actually burning a banana nut bread candle and when that one runs out, I will be burning a pumpkin one as well! Love Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! :-D

Glad to hear your surgery went well and you're feeling well! Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. Sending a pray your way for her, your husband, and you as well! Keep us updated!

When Wayne and I decide to buy a Hallmark ornament for the year it is always a Peanuts one.

I knew Wayne was the guy for me when he loved the Peanuts gang as much as I do. Ha ha! He even owned Charlie Brown Christmas on dvd and had a Charlie Brown Christmas snowglobe from Hallmark when I met him and a few other things. How corny of me! :wink: Oh yeah, not only that but we get along good too. :D
 
I've been in such a Christmas-y mood today! I woke up, lit a candle and tuned into Merry Christmas Radio, i've been on & off the forums all day, and now I'm baking brownies and debating on whether or not I should watch Elf. I think it's the cool weather that's gotten me like this.. but I definitely don't mind! Hope everyone's day is going wonderfully :)
 
Good evening everyone... well BOTH of our kids start school tomorrow. Our youngest is starting kindergarten... I am sitting, scratching my head wondering how is it possible that my baby is starting school already... any oldest is in hear lasy year of elementary school ... where did the time go?

Were atthe mall earlier today.. got the school a few more lastminute clothes for school and of course stopped into Yanke Candle and picked several fall scented tarts... my house is going to smell good this fall cheesy

With this post, Sugar is poster #18,400. For her efforts she receives an aluminum loaf pan to make some real banana nut bread. Whoo Hoo!!!

I just pulled my fleece blanket out of the drier. We are going to get down to 48 and I have a feeling I may need it.
