Christmas Countdown - 2011

It sounds as if the entire nation is under a blizzard, except here in Arizona... Is this the coldest winter on record, in your part of the country?

It is snowing here in the great white north but we are not under any kind of weather watch at this time.

My little lovebird has been eating some and moving around a little more. He is still wheezing so we just don't know yet if he will fully recover. He is 17 years old but there is hope! He is still on his antibiotics.

Like I have mentioned before, 2 years ago he was so sick that I found him literally laying on his back with his feet in the air. Birds are usually dead when they are laying like that, it's not natural. I was about to take him to the vet and have him put to sleep because I knew he was suffering. I waited it out and then after a round of antibiotics he was back to usual playful self. If the vet had seen him in that bad of shape he would not have hesitated putting him to sleep.

I hope he fully recovers!

Barely over HALF a week away from the 300-Day Window.
(Yep. Moving right along, all right!)

I hate to mention the cold again, but it's COLD.
Down once again into the mid twenties with a high of only 38 predicted for this afternoon.
By the weekend, however, it is supposed to get into the mid 50's.
Wow. That will feel like a heat wave!

Well its Thursday. Almost Friday! Today I'm off work at 3pm. I'm picking up William early from daycare because my Wife has a meeting. I was listening to mmc radio again last night while playing video games. Lots of fun. Our lights on the house are still on. Two of my neighbors across the street still have theirs on too! I don't understand why others don't keep them on longer? Its winter. It looks nice! Well almost time to start work. Hope everyone has a great day. Might be on later tonight!

Hi every one! Glad to hear most of you are doing well... I am quite alright, have been busy on getting every thing together... I wonder if it's just me or do most teachers don't actually want me to graduate before this summer... maybe they like me too much, and fear they'll miss me...
Luckily this weekend I'll be working at an other cake fair, so that will be fun!

I will pray for all of you to be happy, and I hope my next exam result will come in soon!

Undrtakr, we took our outdoor lights down January 1st but it's because it's the only day that my husband and I have off together for awhile, besides our usual Saturday, but our Saturdays are usually busy with other things. It has been our tradition on New Years Day to go out to eat then come home and take down the lights together. I need his company while doing this, he makes work fun for me and I don't feel as sad taking them down! cheesy

I do enjoy seeing others keep their lights up though!!! :wiggy:

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a busy day after I got off work yesterday. My side business kept me out late, but that's better than having no business, huh?

This cold weather has my hands cracking and bleeding. I haven't found a hand lotion that doesn't cause a reaction with my skin, though, so I have to live with it. Ouch!

My son has a basketball game tonight in Savannah, so I'm on the road again!

Wow. We had snow like that early December. It was NUTS. 5 feet snow drifts on our lawn. I loved it!

Out in the western part of the state my little town ended up with a total of 30 inches according to the news, its even more than they originally stated, I have never seen so much snow with one storm.

Wow ... We're in the Greater Boston area and wound up with 14 to 17 inches. (I measured 14 in the front yard and 17 in the back yard.) That's plenty. Thank goodness we have a friend with a plow. Hope you're close to being dug out!

People come to our feed store all the time buying udder balm and other moisturizing products for dry skin. Some of these people suffer chronic skin problems and doctors even suggest them buying it. I hate the feel of that stuff because it is sticky but it helps heal for really dry skin. That might be something you could try that might not cause a reaction.

I think I am getting "the eye" about the Christmas trees, decorations, music... My wife said it is time to move on, it doesn't feel like Christmas anymore and it will ruin it for next year, I said it is not Christmas music anymore it is winter music, just ignore the Christmas words and such, I don't think she liked it but JP started sticking up for me. Her response was "he is going to be just like you." I guess I am teaching him right. haha

My problem is I just don't feel ready for "real" music right now, I just want happy music and Christmas music for the most part is happy music, and with all that goes on in this world I think we all need happy music.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!! It is another cold day here in central Indy but at least the sun is out. I have spent most of the morning cleaning my apartment and now I am getting ready to head out to run some errands. I will be back later to try and catch up on all of this mornings posts.
