Good morning every one!!
Still no second exam result... I hope they come in today, because I need to get every thing together planning the last weeks of January.... Tomorrow I will be off to the cake-show, that will be nice :) :)

Hope every one has a great day :)

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a busy day after I got off work yesterday. My side business kept me out late, but that's better than having no business, huh?

This cold weather has my hands cracking and bleeding. I haven't found a hand lotion that doesn't cause a reaction with my skin, though, so I have to live with it. Ouch!

My son has a basketball game tonight in Savannah, so I'm on the road again!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I have had the hand issue off and on all my life. My Dad worked in a diary as a high school student and as well as the cows the staff suffered cracked and bleeding hands. The treatment they used is the same I use today and it works. Get a green tin of some stuff called Bag Balm and pick up some good grade brown jersey gloves. Best to have someone help you if you can but apply a very good coating of balm on your hands just before bed time then have your helper give you a hand slipping into the jersey gloves. Wear the gloves to bed with the balm on now for me as a rule 3-4 nights and your hands will start feeling great in no time. Careful with the Bag Balm while it works great is so heavy a balm that if you get it on anything takes a washing or two to remove it. Stuff is worse than Vaseline. I have turned, wow I have no idea how many people on to this and all have said best thing they have ever done. You can use a latex disposable type glove if you wish but I find that as Dad says the jersey is the best. Also I save the gloves and maybe once a week or whenever hands seem dry I just slip the glove on at bedtime and the Bag Balm still in the glove gives my hands a little treatment during the night and no more cracking for the winter it seems. Hope this works for you, man nothing more painful that dry cracked hands and fingertips.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It is another cold day here in central Indy but it is winter so I guess that is normal. We are expecting another inch of snow today and some flurries all weekend long. My sister just called and asked if I would come out and watch my nieces while she goes to the doctor. She has been sick all week and finally decided that she should go in. So I am off to babysit. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning,

That was a quick night of sleep, is it me or does morning seem to get here earlier every day. Back to work in just over an hour just eating breakfast and catching up on the forums. It is a very cold morning here, I hope it warms up a bit our car has had trouble starting up, and now the gas needle is broken, so we will have to pay more attention to how many miles we drive in between fill ups.

Have a great Friday!

Good Friday morning all, well our little love bird that my wife told you all was sick died last night. Pretty sad around here, especially since he seemed like he was getting better. The last time I saw him alive was when I took my shower after getting home from work, and he was wheezing a little, but seemed fine otherwise. My wife went out to see him and came back very upset and said he is dying. We both went in and he was gone. We had a little funeral for him in our back yard and buried him. He was 17 years old, which is a long life for a love bird. Her 20 year old son was 3 when she got him. He used to love perching on our finger then walking up our arm and standing on our shoulder, then chirping very loud in our ear. He will be missed.

Good evening my Christmas friends,

First day back to work in over a week, probably should have taken my Dr.'s advice and taken a few more days off, my chest is burning from working in the cooler. I am having a really bad I miss Christmas day, just missing the sights and the sounds I guess. So I bought a box of candy canes, and a new Christmas t-shirt that says "What happens under the mistletoe, stays under the mistletoe." I did count 25 house that had some lights on and that was after 10:30pm.
I hope you all had a great day!
Good night!
Take care of yourself and don't relapse.

This is what I was trying to think of when I told Brad that I work at a feed store. I mentioned to get udder cream and went blank on the name, Bag Balm. Thanks! People come into our store all the time to buy this and other creams. Like you said, it's sticky stuff but it works. I didn't think of the glove part and that's a great idea!

As Wayne mentioned that our lovebird died. I am sad but relieved that he is not suffering. That was killing me to watch but every time I thought it was the end, he would perk up again!

He really had a sweet personality and loved people. You could hold him and he loved to give you kisses.

I still have a Quaker Parrot that can live to be 35 years old.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Its always sad when I pet dies because they are a member of the family.

Sorry to hear about that, Snow-in-Texas.
A friend of my sister has 9 birds and they are all her "children". Watching them with her has given me respect for their abilities and devotion which I never had before.

Good Morning, Folks.

Even colder here this morning where we stand at 24 and have only moved up one degree in the last 2 hours. I am so tired of this.
(Cold weather that that goes on and on has been proven to have a depressing effect and I can believe it.)

To the count:
Days to the Season: 303
Days to Christmas Day: 345
We have now moved UNDER half a week off from Milestone #1, the 300-Day Season window.
Wow. So close to getting our first marker behind us!

Friday Eve is here!
Have a Fabulous one and enjoy yourself to the fullest in the spirit of the Christmas Season, Friends!

I am so very sorry. I understand COMPLETELY how you both feel. (((((HUGS)))))) For both of you this morning. xo Perhaps He and Goblin are now friends. Goblin was like that, he would NEVER hurt aother species. He was just too kind, would not even hurt a mouse. I am sure they are together and getting acquainted in their new healed heavenly forms no longer sick and young again. xo

I am sure Simba likes your kitty! Simba was brave and no matter how little he was, he never had a fear of any other animals. If I let him, he would have tried to play with my cats and dogs.

This is a picture I got off the internet but this lovebird looks exactly like the one I had. I do have pictures of him but it will take me awhile to dig through the boxes, scan it and upload it. I will also go through my digital pictures, I have a lot. I will try to search for a picture when I get a chance. Lovebirds get a bad rap for being mean but raised alone by people they are very loving sweet birds. My bird was never mean to anyone.

People come to our feed store all the time buying udder balm and other moisturizing products for dry skin. Some of these people suffer chronic skin problems and doctors even suggest them buying it. I hate the feel of that stuff because it is sticky but it helps heal for really dry skin. That might be something you could try that might not cause a reaction.

ouch that sounds bad... did you yet try pure Aloe?
I use it all the time on sensitive skin, it is really great... I am now using for my hands a gingerbread body milk I got on sale :P but that's probably no option for you??

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Last night, Nancy put Vaseline on my hands, then wrapped them in clear plastic wrap, the put socks over that. I felt ridiculous, but it helped! I'll have to look for Bag Balm, thanks! ETA: Is this it? http://www.bagbalm.com/

Kerstig, I better not try gingerbread body milk. I'm afraid I'd have to turn in my man card. :P

Christmas-a-holic & Snow-in-Texas,
