Morning all! Its going to be one of those weeks for me! My youngest daughter has her immunisations today, My 5yr old is on antibiotics for a ear and chest infection and eye drops for an eye infection!! and my eldest goes into hospital on friday for 4 teeth removing under a general aneasthetic (sorry if spelt wrong)

I hope they all feel better soon!!!!!!

Good Morning all. I had a rough night last night of coughing and sneezing. I am not feeling too well this morning and plan to rest all day since I am off work and the grandkids will not be over. I guess that means I will be spending more time with you all on here today, unless I fall back to sleep. cheesy I got to get better because the grandkids will be over the rest of the week.

I've been known to make a turkey dinner when I am in that kind of mood--the holiday mood, not the turkey mood!

Everyone at work will be so quiet about the Patriots today so that will be music to my ears, I will be kind and not rub it into their noses after all I am a Bengals fan and I wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!! It is a dreary day here in central Indy. We are expecting some snow showers that are going to turn into sleet and then rain. Tomorrow they may turn back into snow depending on how fast the temperature drops. My plan for today is to start cleaning my closets out. I have been bad about just shoving stuff into them here lately and now they are a mess. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know how to activate a Platinum Membership when you have received it as a gift?

I as well got a gift membership which I never got to work plus I also sent a request to the powers that be about it and heard nothing back from them. Now when I paid for it myself Saturday, it was done in seconds so go figure.

You send Jeff a message as to who you gave the gift to and he will activate it for that person.

That's what I did when I gave away memberships. Not sure if that has changed.

Yes turkey does sound good. But then I am sort of like ole man Parker as to being a connoisseur of turkey. I can eat it anyway, anytime, with best being along side a mound of mashed potatoes and gravy over it all with hot from the oven slabs of cornbread, with butter of course. Yummy .....welp time to go raid the kitchen done made myself hungry.

Sorry to hear that. Jeff Westover may be away for the weekend (or week) and when he is on he does reply to his messages. He has to apply the membership manually. The membership gift is a new feature and maybe it is not set up yet to be automated.

I believe when you pay it's automated.

Yes the payment side is lightning fast and really easy to do using Paypal. As for the gift part, it was nice who sent it to me but I was going to join anyway and did a week faster than I thought I would. I have a budget I stick to and spread things out so that was only reason I waited to join. But if you gift something to someone I don't think that person should have to wait or send messages and what not to get the gift. Just my two cents on it.

Hello there my good friends!!!

Hope everyone had the best Christmas season ever and that you are already looking forward to next year!!! Ours was loads of fun, spent time, eating and visiting, all my cattle were lowing...It was a grand time!

One of my new years resolutions is to spend more time here and less on Facebook, the grandest of time wasters ever invented...

My iPod still cycles the odd Christmas song through its' mix and I'm not gonna change that...The occasional blast of Christmas does my heart good all year long...In fact, if you get the urge for a blast yourselves, www.MerryChristmasRadio.com plays nuttin' but, all year long!!! We rotate shows and use various members of the community as our talent...It's a party worth attendin'!

In the meantime, I'll be here counting days, enjoyiing milestones and laughing at the good natured ribbing between our dear friends Crown and Binger...the Glimmer twins, at least on MMC...The hope & Crosby...Bonnie & Clyde, Sonny & Cher, Brooks & Dunn, The Judds, of our dear Christmas home...No one knows the true identity of these folks, so we must not limit them with gender or politcal affiliaton, or even flavor or Ice Cream...they are the Green Lantern and Green Hornet of MMC!
