Welp snow is here again we was lucky only got couple of inches but to the north a short distance they have 5-6 inches. We seem to have more ice than anything. But another cold day and freezing stuff they say tonight maybe. But Sunday be 60 they say as thunderstorms move in and then we have freezing rain/snow Sunday night.

A fireman is working on an engine outside the station when he notices a little girl riding down the sidewalk in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.

The girl is wearing a firefighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat.

The firefighter walks out to take a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire truck," he says admiringly.
"Thanks, Mister Fireman", the girl says.

Closer inspection reveals that the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's tail.

“Little Lady," the firefighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster."

The little girl replies sweetly, "You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren..."

well we have made it to another weekend and I am ready! I have a ton of cleaning to do before my friends arrive for dinner tonight...jeesh. I should have told them just to come at midnight and I would be ready! I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing weekend. Talk to yall tomorrow!(or maybe later tonight)!

got my hydro bill in the mail today, something I dread with the price going up all the time (as bad as gas prices!) anyway, open it up and had to get my son to read it as I did not believe what it said! Apparently they owe me $.21!
Should I get that in cash or cheque?

Happy Rudolph Day Christmas Family !!

It is really nasty cold here and in fact it is like a blizzard almost outside. It feels so Christmassy !! I know, like a lot of us who live in areas that get snow, Ohio being in the midwest as one of them, I am a little tired of it.....but It is still so beautiful !!


I have to talk to you all a moment Christmas family. I want to apologize to all of you for my last blog if you read it. I won't go into it but I think I came off really "crazy" sounding. I know Jeff has always said not to apologize for having feelings but it seems mine get the best of me at times. I simply don't know what else to do with those feelings sometimes other than write in my blog.

If I offended anyone I am really sorry. I hope you are all well and I love each and every one of you !! (I think I have a crush on Carl though xo). Thank you for being my Christmas family and my friends xo I don't know what I would do without any of you xo

I agree, Canine - as crazy as the snow makes me, it always makes me feel so happy and Christmasy! I didn't read your blog, but you are a valued member of our community and we appreciate you. Hope you are doing ok.

Good morning ... it's very wet here today. Suppose to rain all the day then the winds are expected to join the party this afternoon. I can handle any type of weather but I really hate the wind, especially since our neighborhood is on the river front so the winds tend to be bad.

Our little guy is feeling a little better today. At least his fever is not nearly as bad as it was yesterday. I may surprise the kids with homemade pumpkin muffins this weekend.

I plan on updating my christmas notebook this weekend and add in the gifts we recently bought and update the recipe and outings sections too.

Had my yearly diabetic eye exam this morning. Distance vision is still 20/20 and no change in my reader prescription. It was all good news and totally made my day. Have a great weekend everyone.

Mr. and I went out tonight to get a microwave oven to replace the one that died yesterday. We stopped for a bite to eat on the way back, and I left the lights on, so we had to wait about 45 minutes in the cold and snow for AAA to come give me a jump start ... but if you gotta drain your battery, a Wendy's within a mile or two of home is a good place to do it.

And I had to bring work home to do this weekend. Bleh.

But Mr. popped in some slice 'n' bake chocolate chip cookies, so things are looking up.

Good evening Yule-igans,

Another long busy day at work, my body feels like it is "buzzing" I worked so hard. Had a yummy crunchy onion chicken for dinner with choco-chip cookies for dessert. I still have 3 more days until my next day off. I noticed yesterday that the snow made the roof of our shed collapse, it is where we stored all of the kids outdoor toys, haven't had a chance to check out the damage inside yet.

Bright and early again tomorrow.

Good Early Saturday morning christmas pals! I obviously am having problems sleeping tonight,so I decided to get up and check some emails. I am working in my yard again this weekend. Right now it is 53F and today is going to be around 80F and sunny so the weather is going to be great for outdoor work. My bradford pear trees are just beginning to get little bulbs on them. Spring def is coming in early like predicted this year. I hope everyone is going to have a good and relaxing saturday morning!

Well I actually have got alot of work around the house done while I could not sleep tonight. Washed dishes put up a load of clothes. This time in a week I will be packing up to make the long drive to boston for 3 weeks. My gps tells me it will take 20 hours,so I plan to drive 10 hours sat hopefully get to DC) and 10 on sun,and go to work on monday! I am getting a house sitter for the dogs,but I will miss them alot while I am away. In a mere two weeks us Americans go back to daylight savings time already! time is really flyin!
