Election day in Holland! Exciting! It was the first time I was still in doubt while going in to the election office! waiting for the results now! I voted for our new Prime minister to get a majority in the Senate!

Hope every one is well! I am having half a day of work tomorrow, since I'll be off working for my cake decorating magazine! An important interview!
I am off to watch the results now! Have a great day every one!

Good luck on your interview.

I did not want to bring anyone down about my post. I just wanted you to know that everything is not black and white. Honestly, I was such a "straight arrow" all of my life and would NEVER swerve from my path. I studied when I needed to, made A s on everything and had excellent grades in college and graduate school. I was so AGAINST drugs. That's what I want you to understand. AND I also want you to understand, that until I had been so personally affected, I, too, would vote against the legalization of marijuana. NOW, I ALSO want you to understand that I am NOT trying to change your mind, but please be mindful: What if it were to happen to you?

Please do not think that you need to respond. Just think. Change only when and if you need to.

If it is for medicinal purposes it has its place, the news report I watched was for complete legalization for everybody, not just for medicinal purposes. I am against legalization for recreational users.

My Illicit Affair

I must confess that I love Girl Scout cookies: Thin Mints, Tagalongs (Spelling) and the peanut butter filled ones. I spent $32.00 on the cookies. But there is something about the Best Yet (el cheapo) vanilla and chocolate cream-filled cookies that call my name. Tonight I had a choice. Can you guess what I chose???

My favorite are the Thin Mints, we buy them from the scouts every year, and when we run out of them we buy the Keebler Grasshopper cookies, they taste the same, and I always keep them in the freezer. Frozen is best.

Good evening,

I should be sleeping, but I need to wind down from work. I can already see 5:30 on the horizon. While at work I got that phantom smell of an evergreen tree and all I could do was think of Christmas. I love that scent. That house finally took down the tree that had been in the window, I miss all the lights quite a bit right now only 8 more months until the lights are back.

Happy Birthday to the man who brought us the Grinch: Dr Seuss

Have a good night!

Good morning....hope everyone is doing good. Been busy here....we start our tests at school next week and we are busy getting prepared. When we start testing next week, we have at least a test a week until we get to the end of April. It's unbelievable. Between that and our spring sports geting started up, things have been slightly hectic. But......two weeks and two days until spring break! Come on spring break!

Good morning everyone! I woke up not able to breath..I mean I could breath but until I took my allergy meds and waited an hour I sounded like a human whistle! we are under a high pollen alert probably for the whole month. I don't remember exactly how long it falls around here but I think it is a few weeks, then the pollon is in the grass in the summer and fall is ragweed pollon so it never really goes away just changes sources. In the winter it is gone though! Anyhow just a few more days until I leave for boston and I can't wait. I am trying to get to DC day one. then day 2 just drive on in. I remember when I was younger driving from Boston's Logan airport with my baby sister before she got married. we were heading down to Oxford Mississippi for her wedding. We flipped a penny who would drive through NYC and who would drive through Philly, and I forget who ended up with what, but it was a very enjoyable road trip before she got married...sorry for the ramble. have a great day everyone!

I agree so much with this! I won't be specific I will just say that I have had to deal with issues that before I would have said "it should only be this way,or that way" but it did affect me personally and I had to deal with it. I now see it a different way and can understand this side of the agrument. cheesy

I also woke this morning with respiratory issues, ahh, spring is in the air. Time to get some more Claritin

I am having hay fever issues as well. They plague me all year, especially in the Spring. I am allergic to perfect beautiful weather. :-? Today is my Friday but for the rest of you:

Of course it's no lie. I checked with Carl and he revealed this blend was developed by him personally in the Shispering Pine's kitchen. Bing taste-tested it and approved.
So far, it's the only one of Carl's blends that have found any commercial success (for -- um -- obvious reasons!).

Calm, sunny and chilly here at this hour where we stand at 42 degrees with the promise of no rain for the next few days.
It should be in the 50's this afternooon.

OK!
On we move:
Days to the Season: 255
Days to Christmas Day: 297
Twelve days until Milestone #4, the one-third mark to Christmas Season 2011.

Well, Folks. Enjoy your coffee (whether or not blended) but consider a switch to tea. You'll never regret it!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.

I'd go for that! And I'll cast a vote for our absent wonder-twin, Binger, too! cheesy

My poinsettia is finally loosing it's red velvet leaves. I knew it would happen sooner or later. I don't know much about plants but this year I decided to get a poinsettia for my Christmas room the day I went out and bought my new tree on Nov 13th. I was just hoping it would make it through the holidays without loosing any red foilage and up until this week it has. Every morning this past week I get up and a big velvet leave is on the fireplace mantel. I will keep it and keep watering it but I have read online that it is very hard to get them to re bloom in the winter,so I will try my best to move it to a dark closet for 14 hours a day for three months like the article I read said. But regardless I will buy a new one next november 13th they are really easy to keep, I mean if I can make one live for 4 months anyone can!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I have a busy day lined up, including a conference call with one of our regional sales managers who claims that I am disrupting his relationship with a big client. It's a long story, but the client buys and re-sells the steel poles that our steel division produces. I sell concrete poles for our concrete division, and I often find myself at odds with the steel division's client. Now the steel guys want me to give their client (my competitor) our pricing so they will have a better chance to win the project! I told them no (after discussing with my supervisor, of course), and it turned into a big deal.

I think I'm going to need a third pot of coffee this morning.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I feel the same way about my Christmas cactus. It's the only house plant I've ever been able to keep alive---this year will be its fourth Christmas, if it's still living. It's grown so that it looks like the Cactus That Ate Massachusetts. Come spring I will try my hand at re-potting it and will try to start some new plants from cuttings to give as gifts. What I know about plants wouldn't fill a thimble, even though my grandfathers were both farmers.

Hello fellow Christmas lovers. Hope everyone who is a bit under the weather get to feeling better real quick. Have a safe and thrilling day everyone!
