Good morning, Christmas friends. We woke up to frost here in northern California today, and the skies are overcast. Weird weather! The funny emails this morning have really started my day off in a good way. CAH, I hope you like the new coffee blend. I don't think I will try it until someone gives a review! I am going back to the doctor today. I still hurt, especially in my shoulder and neck. What a pain to get old!!! Have a great day, everyone!

Can I make a suggestion? Don't be a teacher/principal and not wear green on St. Patrick's Day!
Friends, I hope you all had a wonderful day. Mine was upsetting...kinda. There are some issues I'm working on at work and it's sad. Sometimes you try to help people, but they refuse to help themselves. As much as you try and try, it doesn't seem to help. Oh well, I can't do anything about it. All I can do is try.
The countdown continues to get lower and lower......good to see. Crown, you kinda scared me when I read your post today that talked about open house at the Pines....I thought it was Wednesday for a second and I wasn't a bit happy about it!

Long day up here today between work, and the boys swim lessons which did not go to well for LC tonight, he is just so stubborn, he doesn't want to do anything the instructor says. I am getting ready to drift off to dreamland, morning will be here too soon. I hope everyone had a great St.Patty's Day, another holiday down on the way to the most wonderful time of the year.

I got knocked on my butt a few years ago by a nasty sickness, it knocked me out of work for all but 5 days for the month of January 2009. I hope you get over this quickly.
That's frustrating but at least you can be sure that you have more people that will help themselves than not. I am sure you are a good mentor to a lot and they appreciate it. The ones that didn't listen or take advice will later wish they did.
I am wondering if LC is not ready for swim lessons? Maybe he is actually afraid to swim and shows it through stubborness? I could be absolutely incorrect since I don't know all the details on this but just a thought. I know how frustrating it can be. When my kids were little, my daughter would learn things right away and my son would stand back and not participate. He did that at karate lessons. My daughter jumped right in and had fun. My son just stood there through the whole lesson. After 3 lessons I gave up! lol. No worries on him now, he is a straight A college student. Maybe give LC another year and he will love it! Then again he might do great on his next lesson. cheesy
Fun St. Patrick's Day at the Pines last night. Carl's blend of veggie coffee hit the spot. I am not sure what all he put in it but I did taste a hint of basil in it. :wink:

Bright and calm here in the capital city where the thermometer outside by back door reads a nice for March 52 degrees at this hour, headed for a predicted high of 81 this afternoon.
Wow! Straight from winter into summer!
(We have short springs around here, unfortunately.)

Good morning everyone... such a nice day out today..left my winter coat home this morning... Christmas has been in my thoughts a lot this week. Hubby and I have been recently discussing decorating and different recipes for the holiday season.....
Well I want to try to spend the weekend Spring cleaning the house, top to bottom. Open the windows to air out the house and declutter....

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!
I went to a booster club meeting out of town last night, trying to convince them to buy our concrete poles to light their football field. I think it went well, they gave me a gentleman's agreement to buy. I'm used to working with engineers, though, and found that I had to explain the design and construction process more thoroughly than usual. I'm not much of a speaker, and caught myself stuttering and fiddling with my pencil while a talked. A great salesman, eh? LOL!
It's going to be a beautiful weekend around here. I'm working all day tomorrow at the store, but maybe I can get some fishing in on Sunday afternoon.
