My boy's are both Momma's boys, I get the obligatory "I don't want you" quite often from LC.

My 2 boys are both in a serious "Mommy phase" and poor Daddy gets the "I don't want you" from our oldest often these days!!

Nice save!

I was just talking to my wife about how much I hate the summer, and it is starting to seem LC is the same way I am in the heat, he HATES it. It is only reaching the low to mid-70's so far but it is miserable for me and LC so far. It will only get warmer. :-?
I will take the mid 70's any day over the heat we suffer here. =)

Oooh, I couldn't survive there!!!! My family (kids and hubby) all hate the heat!) We are miserable grumps when it's hot and humid... I couldn't live without my a/c!

As much as I missed being able to get outside, etc, during the winter, I wish the warm weather stopped around 70 degrees! And it could stay lik ethat through the summer and then backto fall, then winter... sounds good, right?!? :merry:

Hey, ya'll.

I'm sorry, I don't want to be a downer, but I wanted to say a few words about my best friend.

I found this morning that my old labrador, Ben, had passed away during the night last night. He had just turned 15 years old, and he had to walk around slowly, but he was always happy. I only wish I could have been there for him as he left, just to comfort him. I owed him that much.

I feel guilty because I've been so busy, I didn't spend much time with him lately. He was always a good boy and a good friend. He loved to hunt with me, and when he was younger he caught the frisbee a thousand times. He walked with me every step I took outside, and was never mad at me for not having as much time for him.

There was some discussion lately about whether or not pets have souls and go to Heaven. I have no doubts that Ben had a wonderful, beautiful soul, and is at this moment running and jumping and chasing birds. I can't imagine that any pet who has the capacity to love someone as much as Ben obviously loved me, lacked a soul and the ability to shrug off the pains and infirmities of old age and live forever in happiness.

I'll miss my old friend dearly. I have to believe he's now happy and young, and waiting to see me again. You've been a good boy, Big Ben, and I love you.

Sorry about your loss Brad. Your story made me tear up a bit, I had a yellow Lab at one time and he had to be put down, I still miss him to this day. I do agree about animals going to heaven also. God bless you my friend.

Good Morning MMC !

getting lots of stuff done around the house...spring cleaning. Forced upon us when my daughter moved and then my son wanting her old room. Threw out tons of stuff he was packing away in his room (I think he could have been on that hording show!) I would love to move a big old desk upstairs, but it is so heavy not sure if it is possible. Going to clean out fridge and oven today...what fun!

hope you all have a fantastic day!!!!!

Very sorry to hear about your dog. I still miss my friend's dog Molly, who was a beautiful, friendly and smart dog. It really is like losing a family member. Also, I was the one who brought up dogs and heaven and I believe they do make it to heaven.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends.

I thought I was through crying, but here I am again. I really appreciate the outpouring of well-wishes and kind words from you, my very good friends! We buried Ben and had a service in the backyard under his favorite pecan shade tree. I miss him terribly, but I wouldn't trade any of the last 15 years he was with me.

Thanks again for the support and friendship! You are a great group of folks, and I'm honored to be included!

Ugh, AWFUL news story from a few towns over. 9 year old girl murdered. What a scary world we live in. I can't even read the details. It makes me just want to hold my kids tight and never let them go.

We're watching A Charlie Brown Christmas to try to get my mind off this. I am praying her parents can find some peace someday. They have a suspect in custody. Ugh.

Good morning!

It is dreary out today - good day to stay in and work. Lots of research to be done as always.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is clear and sunny with a slight breeze here in northern California. I am off to school to pick up my testing box and get to work. I hope everyone has a great day!

Same for me. Since more than a week, we have high temperatures, higher than the rest of Europe. I don't like it. I hope we have had enough heat for the rest of the year.

I agree!!!!! We just hit 80 degrees here today and I hate it. I am trying to resit the urge to turn the a/c. I know it will be on tomorrow because they are calling for temps near 90. :-?
