Made - I went to a few different QVC sellers' sites last night (Temp-Tations, Jim Shore, etc) trying to find info about Xmas in July but nada! I think Temp-Tations had July 24 listed... I am Googling to see if I can find out more! :-)

Oh well. If not soon then friday evening when I am on the computer. Pretty dead at work right now. I have been waiting 15 minutes and no calls are coming in. Just as I typed that I got a call. LOL. And what do you know. Someones computer is infected with malware. Sigh. People will never learn eh? hehe. Time to clean up his computer! Ill be back. have a great day all!

I saw that on Temp-Tations also. I would be shocked if they didn't have anything on during Christmas in July.

Christmas in May!!!

We just finished dinner, and it was fantastic! We smoked a prime rib roast at Christmas and froze the leftovers. Tonight we had steak sandwiches with the leftovers. It was fantabulous!! We made corn on the cob and Madras beans to go with it in addition to au jus. Oh man, I was in heaven!!! I can hardly wait for the real Christmas! I hope everyone has a great evening. CM3 and CAH I have four books of paper dolls: Wedding Fashion, Bride and Groom, Brides From Around the World, and Fashions of the First Ladies. I was thinking the first two for CM3 and the last two for CAH;s mom. Is that okay? I will need addresses that you can PM me.
How very sweet of you! Let CM3 have first choice and let her pick out 3 books. She is the true collector and my mom can have 1. cheesy

Thank you so very much!

Got to tend to the grandkids and I will check the rest of post and pm you my address.

Good Morning, my mid-week Friends and Christmas Season Appreciators!

Straight to the count:
Days to the Season: 186
Days to Christmas Day: 228
Barely over half a week off now from Milestone #8, the 50 percent way mark to the Christmas Season!

Calm but overcast here this morning. Heavy rain for a while last night but a somewhat reduced chance for today.
It is 62 degrees here, currently.

OK! It's the Peak-of-the-Week and by now, you all know what that means.
Carl has been touched by the pet stories that have appeared here lately so he's running a pet theme at the 'Pines today.
Lots of stuffed animals about with photos of members' pets and printed stories.
(Sounds like it will be a touching day you won't want to miss.)
Oh. And just in case you still want to come for more experimental coffee, Carl was muttering something earlier about guacamole.
Lordy!

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Guys!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be a hot day here in central Indy. We are expecting a high of 87 and 90 percent humidity. They are predicting some strong storms could pop up this afternoon and I hope they do so the humidity will go down. My plan for today is to babysit my nieces while my sister goes to the doctor. Then I need to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning! I finally made it here early on a Hump Day! Now I can enjoy the whole day at the pines! :) It’s supposed to be a beautiful day today. I was able to wear a long sleeve T & capris on my walk this morning!!! Another morning walker had shorts & T…it was warm enough for sure! We went from frost less than a week ago to MUGGY today – 90% humidity & 83º today! What the heck?? O-H-I-O! :D Make a great day!

Hey brad --
That experience taught me that value of grieving and of remembering and not only for the people important in our lives. Our pets are FAMILY, they are monumental in our day to day, even if they cannot talk or express themselves as we express ourselves to each other.

They do speak to us. And they give a level of love I wish more of us had the capacity to give.

God bless you and your family, Brad, and the memory, too, of Ben.

Jeff
This is all absolutely true. I keep expecting him to walk up and drop the tennis ball. He was too old to run for it anymore, but he'd walk for it, tail wagging all the way. If I didn't have a chance to throw it, he was content to just walk along beside me.

Goodness gracious. I can't seem to shake this sadness and weepiness, but I have to. As many times as he made me feel better when I was down, I'm sure he'd want me to be happy remembering him.

I'll try.

Thanks again, Jeff, for eloquently saying what those of us who've lost a loved pet feel.

I'll be back to normal soon, my friends. Please bear with me.

Sounds great, Crown! Tell Carl I'll be there!

Great now I am thinking about turkey again. cheesy

A wild turkey flew across the road on my way to work today, so I'm thinking about turkey too!

Hey brad --

I was glad to hear you had a service and buried Ben in the yard. We've always done this too. Your telling of that story reminded me of the first time I went through the loss of a pet when I was a kid ...

Thank you for sharing that, Jeff. Pets = love. Only people who are able to return the love pets offer so freely should have them. Tinka was blessed to belong to a family like yours.

And with this post, Meceka is poster #9,800. Drum roll, please, for the prize: A report on single mothers in California, footnotes included at no extra price!!!!!!! This report was typed WAY before computers!

Good morning!

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It's an overcast day that is expected to get quite warm. Rain is predicted for later in the week. I can't remember if I told you or not, but the electricity went of during the night on Monday. When I got to school, everyone was talking about the lightning and loud thunder that lasted for several hours. What a wimpy storm it was; I never heard a thing. Obviously it was not a storm like the ones we had in the South when I was growing up! But lightning and thunder are rare here in northern California. I hope everyone has a great day!

I just read our town's newspaper. We are such a small town that the paper is only published three times a week. One of the lead stories was about the lightning and thunder storm!!! I laughed out loud!

Must be a really slow news day, if you have a a lot of storms this summer they will be really busy writing. cheesy
