GA, congrats, man. Good deal for you! I got engaged back when I was coaching. I took off from school one day, prepared a meal, and went to practice. My gf was supposed to meet me at 6:30. We were in the middle of a winning streak and my boys had a "big head". Let's just say practice wasn't going good and at 7:15, we wrapped up. Not realizing the time, I hurry home and she left! I begged her to come back and eat with me, but she said I should have been on time. That's our little story.

But let me tell you this...hands down....marriage is the best thing to ever happen to me. I hope fatherhood takes that place. Congrats. I pray you have a blessed marriage.

SOON - yes! It's almost Christmas in July!!! I'm hoping and praying to score some good deals at Target's toy clearance in July and be done with the kids then. I really want some good Toy Story stuff for the boys!! (Even though we have a TON already, I want them to have all the characters in the movies - crazy, right??)

Santa got a new speedy scooter to help on his errands when he realized we are already so far along in the countdown!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! It is a cloudy and cool day here in central Indy and it looks like it is going to stay that way for a couple of days!!! I was lazy this morning and skipped church but I did get some much needed sleep. Now I am getting ready to kick back and watch some nascar coverage. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should put that on for Jude - he is 3 so he LOVES race cars!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is gray, windy and cold here in northern California. The furnace just came on. It's just above 40 degrees outside. This is crazy weather, but like Jude and Noel's Mama said, it puts me in the Christmas mood! I have work to do on my crafts table in the kitchen so I should probably get in there and get to work. Hope y'all enjoy all the Christmasy things you are going to do today. Wow! Halfway! Just, wow!!!

Before I actually do get to work in the kitchen, I would like to say thank you to all of you who chimed in on GBD's engagement. I love what you all said about it being one of the best things that happened to you and ditto for the birth of your children. I see so many kids at school who do not have parents with your wonderful attitude. I wish you all were parents in my school district! Thank you, again, for being who you are.

I'd like to second what Seawaters has said( excuse me for being mushy for a moment)...when I first joined this website back in Sept. I looked at the number of posters here and I thought I would never get to know all of you and I would only read the posts and being shy myself I would only post here and there. However especially when I peeked in on this thread jan 1st I have to say I was a little intimidated about posting,but within days I felt completly at home and I feel like today we are a circle of friends of about 10 to 20 ppl...and it feels like we visit everyday in my living room..I value what each and every one of you have to say and I look to some of you for advice,some for Camaraderie,some for comic relief. It's like I have a special friend to fit whatever mood I am in. when I found out i was getting deployed yall rallied behind me,which made me realize I am going to miss you all so much this summer! But I just wanted to say thank you all for the kind words you gave for my engagement and also the baby coming in January! and for the things yall do every single day! I still can't believe I have 7500 posts! I would never have thought that,because I am laid back quiet guy! you guys are the greatest and would be welcome in my home anytime!

Welcome to this thread!! and I know exactly what you mean. It is cloudy and 68F here in south Georgia,and it's usually 88F this time of year...so I too am enjoying this fall like weather I bet you that this will be the last day of october like weather for us until well October!!cheesy
