now only the spaghetti need to get ready and we will be eating our first spaghetti with meatballs..........I love Tony DeLisa....he is an American who lived here in Germany for some time....he found out that most of the cookbooks for american cooking that are sold in Germany often contain incredients, that are very, very hard to get over here...if at all....so he decided to write a cookbook himself with very easy instructions and seasoning and other incredients that are available here....so here I am happy with it and praisin the man :D

So interesting that this is your first time to have spaghetti. It is a VERY common dish here. I hope you enjoy it!

I hope you enjoy it! My family loves spaghetti; when I was a kid we had it every Saturday, and never got tired of it.

So I'm out working this morning and it starts to rain. I head back to my home office and the rain changes to snow. As I head up the hill it gets deeper and deeper -- so, I put it into 4-wheel drive.

Safely home now, the fireplace is blazing and I look out my window and see big white fluffy flakes.

My calendar says May 17th.

But I don't believe it.

The impending floods have been postponed until next month, I guess.

You're living in the Twilight Zone! :snowball:

Snow deep enough for 4 wheel drive mid-May?!?! Holy cow!!!! We need some pics!!:snowball:

my kids watch it (I call them "kids" but they are all over 20 now) any way, they seem to enjoy the show. She will come up and tell me about it , but I have to admit I really don't pay attention, which would explain the glazed over eyes when she talks about it to long. LOL

Oh it is SUCH a great show! I got addicted to it bc it's on right after Dancing with the Stars. And ooooomg last night was so good! I've done nothing since I got home from work at 1 except watch that ep over and over and over. Clearly I have better things to do but sometimes I obsess over tv shows for no good reason (I probably sound so dumb! lol).

I was talking to my mom back in Maryland over the weekend and she told me that my aunt (her younger sister) is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. I asked her if they have treatments for it yet, but she said all they can do is slow it down, can't really do anything about it. I would like to ask for prayers for her (my aunt's name is Phyllis). I know my mom is very upset, she said "this is my baby sister!" I know this will be rough on her.

I am so sorry to hear this. My warmest thoughts are going out to her and will continue to. *hugs*

I hope you enjoy it!!!!! I think we had spaghetti at least twice a week while I was growing up. Now I usually use penne noodles when I make pasta.

We love spaghetti, but especially my mom's. She starts early in the morning, making the sauce from scratch, and it simmers all day while she rolls the meatballs. Sometimes she cuts up some kielbasa sausage in it, too.

Wait, wait, wait...I didn't say I had to put it in 4-wheel drive. I just said I did put it in 4-wheel drive.

I'm a guy. We don't need much of an excuse (especially with new tires that sprays the water 25 feet in the air, it looks so pretty coming off all four wheels).

LOL - it must be a guy thing! My husband talks about 4 wheel drive just about as much as we discuss the kids.

If it has a button, we just gotta press it. If it has the option, we just gotta buy it. If it sparkles, makes noise, or does more, it's mine. Size matters.

And Tim-the-Toolman is a God, too.

the gadget thing is definitely a guy thing, my son is always wanting some new thing-a-ma-gig for something or another.

Well it's about time!

We missed you girl! cheesy

Speaking of scents, Judesmama and I are burning pumpkin scented candles. Yummy!

Don't be a stranger and visit us often!

Hey thanks! Ya...I know...I'm not very consistent, am I? :-)

Pumpkin scented candles, eh? What a wonderful scent! I should buy one and burn it right along with the both of you!

Ah yes...in a Christmassy mood! The BEST mood to be in! I am going to load some Christmas music on my mp3 player so that I can listen to it to and from work (and on my lunch break)!

Happy to be here...but more happy that you all are here!
