The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper June 1st 1967 and hit #1 on the charts on June 3rd.

Is that right or is it something else? =)

When I looked up Beatle history I saw that too but didn't know that's what you were talking about.

Ringo was a bit upset during that time because he was temporarily replaced by Jimmy Nicholl. He thought the rest of the band was going to replace him permanently. Poor Ringo!

Hey all! I've got a busy day planned today - I'm off to work here in a few minutes and then heading straight to my nieces' dance recital. My little sister also dances there and it is her first recital doing pointe! I'm so excited for her! After that, we'll head over to a local carnival for the evening. It is going to be a hot one outside today, though, so I'm not sure how long we'll stay. If we can make it in the heat, there is a fireworks show at 10pm. We'll see about that!

I've had a busy, but fun week - I've worked a charity golf tournament and hung out with a bunch of former Cardinals players, gone to a Cardinals game, had a night out with a couple of mom's, a coffee date with a friend, went to a cookie party last night (for a friend who's house was destroyed by the tornado that hit in our area on good Friday - it was her first party at her temporary house!) and now the recital and fair tonight. Week's like this, I feel like I actually know how to balance work and social life! I'm pretty sure that next week I'll go back to being a workaholic, but thats okay too.

The bathroom is coming along slowly. We chose a local contractor to do the job and because he is a 3 person organization, he doesn't move at the same speed as if we brought in a bigger name group (and the bigger price that goes with it). Its been a week and 2 days since we started. At this point, they have torn everything out, expanded the room out, replaced the subfloor, ran all new plumbing lines and put the toilet in. We were with out a toilet for 3 days! So, I'm happy with just having a functioning toilet for the weekend LOL. They said Monday we should be able to get the tub in and hooked up and the dry walling done. Then it is just the tile work to get done and install the vanity. We should be up and running I think by Thursday!

Anyways, I think I'm going to get moving a bit early this morning so I have time to stop by Starbucks for a little treat before work! A peppermint white chocolate mocha sounds like it could really hit the spot today! After all, there is only 204 days left till Christmas! cheesy

now I am tired from reading how busy you are! LOL cheesy
We had to redo a bathroom once, the mess is a pain, but so worth it when it is all done!

Good Morning MMC !

Been out for an early morning walk already, about time I got back into that habit. My tail bone is not happy about it, I figured it was all healed up but after that brisk walk it is throbbing again.:-?

I plan to stay home today and get some stuff done (I say plan because we all know how they can change!) Need to get laundry done too, thee job that comes in a close second on the not so favorite list of chores to do after clean the bathroom!

Have a fantastic day everyone!!

I was hopping when people told me this about tail bone injuries that they where stretching the truth....:-?
oh well, not much to do about it but wait!

i am going to retire for the night, i have seen enough destruction and heard so many stories of heartbreak the last few days. Tomorrow i will start to go back to normalcy with going back to work tomorrow. And cheer for the bruins tomorrow night.

I still haven't had a good cry over this whole thing yet, it will hit me at some point.

Have a good night.

((((hugs))))

Good morning!

Woke up with a major headache - it is slowly going away. I have to work today and am supposed to meet up with a bunch of friends for movie night tonight so I'm hoping this lethargy I am feeling will soon go away. If I don't get my self-imposed to-do list done, no movie for me so I had better get going!

Have a great day!!!!!!!

Well, I have pretty much lost my voice! This is one of the weirdest colds I have had. I had a coughing attack at school and scared the kids. They kept saying, "Are you losing your voice?" Duh!! I hope all of y'all have a great evening. I am so tired, so I will go veg in front of the TV!

I hope you are feeling better today!!!!!!!

Did I tell you guys my little Noel is now taking steps?!?! He is such a daredevil! He has had more bruises, cut lips, and bumps in his 9 months than Jude has in 3years!!
If you don't hear from me for awhile, you'll know I had a heart attack because of my crazy baby!!! :)

My youngest niece is a daredevil to. It started with jumping from the coffee table to the couch and then jumping off the back part of the couch onto the floor. Yesterday I caught her on top of the kitchen table trying to jump off. It's amazing that she hasn't hurt herself yet.

For the past 2 days it has been in the mid to upper 90's so one day I enjoyed Merry Christmas Radio all day and the next day I watched Christmas movies.

As Gabulldawg and I have chatted about before how summer makes us yearn for Christmas. The hotter it gets outside the more merrier I feel! It just makes my surroundings feel cooler with Christmas on my mind!

It will be close to 100 degrees out today. Time to put up the Christmas Tree!!!!

My favorite summer time Christmas song:

The tornadoes were such a terrible thing, but it's inspiring to see how the communities that were hit have pulled together and are helping each other. Except for the looters. They should be shot, along with anybody else who takes advantage of tragedies.

I would have to agree with this.
