Morning everyone! Its 7:55am in jolly old London Ontario. Woke up early to a thunderstorm. Nothing THAT big but it was high winds and the power went out from 5am-7am. William slept through it. Boots (cat) came in meowing wanting in bed with us. I don't think she liked the storm. Its going to be VERY VERY hot for the next few days. Going to turn the a/c on when I get home tonight from work. Caught William dancing and singing into an extension cord (not plugged in). Ill have to post the video when I get home. He was singing your my baby from Sesame street that he was watching earlier. LOL. This weekend we are taking the van to a friend. We need to see if the a/c can be patched and topped up. We already had 1,000 dollars worth of repairs on the a/c system. I'm not paying that much. As Kermit the Frog says...SHEESH! Well time for me to punch in for work! Have a great day all!

Good morning, friends!

Brad, how was that day off?

Finally got all the flowers in the flower bed planted yesterday. Planted about 25 or 30 yesterday morning, only to find them withered up yesterday afternoon. The heat is so much on them...should have planted them early so they could be established by now....oh well, hopefully they will be ok and there is always next year.

Gonna be another hot one today everybody....100.......agh......

Heading to work...hope yall have a great day!

CAH....great report! Good for you!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We took Nancy out to eat last night and had a great time! The heat broke about 6pm, so it was 80-ish with a breeze. After the dinner, we sat outside the restaurant on the benches and enjoyed the weather. Nice!

Back to work this afternoon on the deck. I really appreciate my little brother helping me out. He has a better sense of wood cosntruction than I do, and it shows. It's funny how much he looks like our dad when he's outside working like that.

I better get back to the job. I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

It is going to be another scorcher today.

Time to have Merry Thoughts to keep cool! THINK CHRISTMAS! THINK CHRISTMAS! THINK CHRISTMAS!

Good Morning, Everyone.

.....Crown WOULD have a difficult time staying awake if he had a window unit! cheesy
Ah! Tell me about it.
Actually, I live on the 3rd floor of a condo. The 2 units below me and my unit all have A/C's side by side directly under my window. As such, I get alternating droning noises which work quite well.
(On the other hand, during the mid-summer they somtimes drown out the crickets, so it's a mixed bag.)

And with that soothing thought, on to something else even more soothing:
Days to the Season: 159
Days to Christmas Day: 201
Heavens to Betsy! (Remember that old expression?)
The 200-day Christmas Day Window opens tomorrow, special 'Pines day!
And I won't be here to celebrate (sob!).
Oh, well. I'll enjoy reading the posts of attendees when I return.

Totally calm, with lots of sun here this morning where we stand just under 70 degrees at this hour.
Should be nice traveling weather to the coast.

Well, I've heard from no volunteers this time around.
If anyone sees the count unposted, just type it in, OK?
We can make it a team effort!
(But let's not leave a gap - bad luck, you know!)

See you back here Saturday.
You have a Terrific Tuesday Today -- and a Shimmering Shispering Pines visit tomorrow!

Cooler today, very windy with approaching thunder storms. I love the summer thunderstorms here in Utah. They arrive, announce their authority with earth-shaking drama, then go away after cooling everything down.

Woke up today with gout in my foot. Mom's been through this many times but it is a first for me. I'm ticked -- and worried. Had no idea it could be so painful.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is sunshiney and breezy here in northern California. I have my voice back, somewhat. My back and chest still hurt, but I am sure that will get better. Hubby and I are off to Mt. Shasta this afternoon and will spend the night. I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. I hope everyone has a great day!

My 24 year old son is having repeated gout attacks...horribly painful indeed.
Cherry juice, natural kind that is, strawberries and pineapple are helpful as far as diet goes. Stay away from protein rich meat, asparagus and alcohol can be a trigger- did I say my son was 24? LOL, suspect beer may have played a teeny role in his latest attack! LOL!
The doctor told him a certain percentage of the population is predisposed to high uric acid levels- shouldn't be above 6, my son's was 9.5.
He is now taking alipurinol to control the uric acid daily....forever.
Hope you get relief soon, Jeff!

Greetings fellow Christmas lovers. It's a bloody hot day in middle America. Stay cool and stay safe.

It's not too cool today here on the east coast, either. Temps are supposed to be in the mid 90's for the next few days. I heard the first annual cicada in our neighborhood yesterday; a sure sign of summer being here soon!

My father-in-law has trouble with this. He says it usually happens after he eats steak, so he has had to cut back on that.
