Good morning, friends! Going into work early today so that I can make sure I get all my work done. I'm taking off tomorrow (my first day since school was dismissed for summer) to just sit around and be lazy. Probably will look through some of the Christmas items that was given to me....that sounds like fun.

Can't believe July is right around the corner. Tomorrow is 6 months til Christmas Eve.....man, it's going to be coming soon. Last night while grocery shopping, the wife said we should start making a list for everyone and trying to find deals on gift ideas for them. She loves it just as much as I do. I've tried and tried to get her to join, but no such look. She barely even facebooks! Anyways...have a good day!

Good evening,

Another day closer to Christmas, back to work for 7am. I am really struggling right now it was 3 weeks ago tonight the tornado hit and it still feels like it was yesterday, I have been having dreams about it and the fears I felt at that time still are with me. The sights of people crying in the street won't go away, the beautiful forestry around here is just obliterated yet I most vividly remember being woken up before 5am the next day by the sound of 3 helicopters flying overhead. I know the healing will take awhile but the anxiety is making me crazy. I have Christmas to look forward to but as of right now it looks like I will have to have surgery on Dec. 23, nothing major but it is still surgery. I am getting closer to my vacation 4pm next Thursday it starts.

I just want to clear my mind.

Have a good night!
That was a horrendously scary time for you and everyone else in town. There will be many others experiencing the same thing. See if there is a support group where you can go and talk about it.
Praying for you.

Hope all had fun at the Pines....I had a starbucks on my way to the Pines....YUM! I can sooooo taste the Pumpkin Spice Latte......mmmmmm.

I know that must be scary. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Had a phone call today from a lady in town who knows how much I like Christmas. Says she decided to start all over with her Christmas decorations and she was going to throw away her old ones....
I guess that is the difference with some people. There is no such thing as ornaments being "old" to me, they are called MEMORIES! cheesy

There is NO WAY I would throw out my ornaments that I have been collecting since I was a child and when my my kids were little. But then again, that's just me. =)

Had a phone call today from a lady in town who knows how much I like Christmas. Says she decided to start all over with her Christmas decorations and she was going to throw away her old ones.....unless I wanted to come load them up and take them home....and take them home I did! She has some great stuff, almost looks new!

Tomorrow is my Friday!

If I don't see yall in the morning, I hope you have a great day!

Mmmm, pumpkin spice latte!!!!! Miss them! And yahoo for new decorations!! I love secondhand decorations.. they tell a story and when they're a bit older, most people don't have them and they are totally unique! Take some pics if ya can!

Yes Good Morning All,

The weather her has decided what to do - rain - got drenched on the school run. I was suppose to start boot camp today but it has been called off until tomorrow so I am going to go visit the treadmill and relieve it from its current job of clothes hanger!

I've done a spot more Christmas shopping this morning - for those in the UK Debenhams have a blue cross sale on today with up to 70% off. So I got pj's for the 2 youngest, a couple of bath sets and perfume.

My youngest was a monster last night and with my hubby out of the country again I'm left with the sleepless nights alone. She was up from 1.30am demanding breakfast, it got to 2.30am and I gave in and took her downstairs for cereal. She didn't settle till 4.00am and I'm left bleary eyed...

Hope I make it through the day cheesy

Have a great day everyone!
Crazy weather like that here, too! My youngest has decided to be up ALL NIGHT the past 2 nights.. I am dragging! Now he is napping so I will refill my coffee and pray I can make it through the day, lol!

Good Morning MMC

Today we have a Holiday (Corpus Christi ) in our Area. The last one until Autumn .
So I can sit here and read on MMC and can listen to MCR without time pressure :-D

Hey Sabine...yup yup...holiday...the last one til October 3rd I think....and so far the weather looks nice!!!! I hope u have a nice one
I guess I could google it but what is Corpus Christi? The only Corpus Christi I have heard of is the town I have visited on the coast of Texas.

I hope you enjoy your day off! =)

I was wondering that, too - one of the Catholic schools/churches in my town is Corpus Christi so I assume it's something to do with Christianity, just never heard of it!

Or ask me! cheesy

It's not something common here in Texas but a friend of mine from Georgia brought me some back from her home town over 25 years ago. I thought they tasted weird at first but got hooked real fast!

It's almost impossible to make them unless you have fresh picked peanuts (not raw from the store). They have to be fresh where they are still a little soft then boil them in lots of salt water. I have attempted to make them with raw and they just don't cook right. After they are boiled they are soft inside the shell and salty. Yummy!

I buy them canned and they are perfect!

Do I have the cooking process right, Brad??? =)
Right on the nose, CAH! The peanuts we had Sunday night came from my brother-in-law's field on Saturday. We pulled them from the field, picked them off the plants and rinsed them off. From there to a big pot on a propane burner. We put a bushel of peanuts and a box of Morton salt with enough water to cover all the peanuts. Just boil them for a few hours, testing a few as you go along.

My mother-in-law cooks them in a pressure cooker. It's faster, but I never trusted pressure cookers, myself.

Ain't none gooder! cheesy

I went with Nancy and the kids to the mall Tuesday night. I slipped away and went to the Hallmark store and got a Dreambook Catalog. I love that book! I've already memorized it...LOL! I was disappointed, though, with the limited number of Star Trek ornaments this year. Still, it's nice to have the catalog!

No, it's not just you. Every January, we carefully wrap all of the ornaments the kids have made for our tree through the years, and proudly (and carefully) hang them again every year. That's the best part of every tree we've ever had!
