Christmas Countdown - 2011

Morning all! Feeling really upset, went to pick shaun up on saturday night and some how must have dropped my phone out of the car, It had photos on of my youngest which luckily I had transfered to my laptop but i never got round to transfering the videos:? They were only a few seconds long each but they were 18months worth of them right from when she was born to now. I really hope someone hands it in somewhere but i really doubt it. I have videos of her on our camcorder but its not the same.

haven't been on for a couple of weeks gang, been really down since losing my aunt. we have pulled together as a family and we are all finding comfort in the fact that she is now with my precious grandmother (her mother) who we lost in january. they were best friends in life and done everything together, it's so hard for us as a family that we lost them both within 5 months, but it's typical of them to want to be together, eating cakes and drinking tea as they always done on earth! slowly but surely we are starting to look forward as a family and we realise that they'll never leave us.

now.... it's time for me to start my christmas shopping!!!! cheesy

Good Morning MMC !

I jumped out of bed after looking at the clock and finding I had slept in for an hour, quickly got dressed and downstairs as I now only had an hour to get going to work.
Got the plants watered, lunch made, cat fed and a few other little things done.
That is when I heard the news caster say "It is now 6:45 am we are taking a quick break" I am thinking what? He got the time wrong, it should be almost 8am! But sure enough, he was right, my clock upstairs was an hour ahead!!!!
Oh well, I at least got everything done quick and can now relax for awhile before heading out for the day!

I can imagine how devestating that would be. I worried about it so much, I finally signed up with Carbonite. It's an online automatic backup, mainly for pictures, but you can manually designate any other file for backup, like videos, documents, etc. I really feel a lot safer knowing I can can my pix back if something happens to the computer.

we lost them both within 5 months

This sounds just like the situation with my grandmother, her sister and sister's husband. They always traveled together and did a lot of things together in life and all passed away within 9 months.

And it is my son's 17th birthday today.

I know a lady that said her mother just came to visit from Ohio. It was her first time in Texas during the summer. She said she will NEVER come back here again when it's this hot. Lol!

Hi, Folks.
The count:
Days to the Season: 125
Days to Christmas Day: 167
Now UNDER half a week off from our 11th Milestone, the 2/3 Season mark.
......and I'll miss it!

Yes, a Countdown volunteer will again be needed, for Wednesday through Friday mornings.
We had an unexpected cancellation of one week at the cottage so my father and I decided to take advantage of it and go over for a few day to check on things and do any needed repairs.
This the first time in many years we have not had full summer occupancy.
(Pretty good record!)

Hot weather is back.
Mid 90's predicted for today and upper 90's for tomorrow.
Oh, well. It is summer after all.

I sincerely hope your phone and videos turn up. It's so sad that, times being what they are, we automatically assume that something of any value that is lost away from home is gone for good. Having something returned is so rare that it often makes the news as a human-interest story. But it DOES happen, so don't give up hope.

My mom does that all the time. She somehow hits the hour button when she turns her alarm on at night and sets her clock an hour ahead.
