The other day I asked you all if you heard of Monopoly. Now have you heard of Scrabble??? Wow! It's another game without electricity and requires family time! :wink:

Wayne and I just got through playing a couple of rounds of it. I missed playing that game. It was one of my favorites growing up. Wayne bought me the deluxe edition a few years ago as a surprise and I have only played it a few times. I want to get back into playing board games again. =)

We don't play it often, but when we do, it's a good game---usually the points left on the rack decide the game, that's how closely we're matched.

Try Super Scrabble---bigger board, goes to quadruple word scores. Plays almost as long as a Monopoly game! I bought it for Mr. a couple Christmases ago. Somewhere I've got a photo of the board at the end of our first game.

What a trooper your daughter is! Once in July, I made a (necessary) cross-country trip from California to NC in July. I had a bomb of a car, no air conditioning, and hardly any money! I would NEVER do that again!!!

Hey everyone! I've been MIA for a bit while hubby and I demolished the kitchen on a whim and hung all new drywall and new woodwork throughout. We started that with a deadline of 10 days to be mostly finished, as we were hosting a bbq for the 4th of July in which we usually have 50-60 people over!! With about 30 min to spare, we got the house at least presentable and the food finished and had a successful party!

Since then, I turned a business trip visiting other restaurants in our chain into a vacation for DD and myself. We got to visit with my family in Oklahoma City and Kaylin did GREAT on the road trip of 9 hours. I was worried about doing the drive by myself with a 3yo, but she was awesome.

The rest of the summer has been a blur and I'm hoping the rest speeds by just as fast. I can't wait for fall and the easy going days turning into crisp, cool nights! Apple picking, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then....well, you all know! Its only 157 more days folks!

Alright, well, I'll be checking back in more often now as things are settling down. For now, I'm heading to bed. I got a cavity filled at the dentist today and my mouth is in a TON of pain!! Hoping that it calms down over night and I can eat like normal again tomorrow.

Have a great night! Can't wait till midnight tomorrow so that we can tune into QVC for their Christmas in July!
