Well.. Today my poor boyfriend is fighting some sort of stomach bug.. Went to walmart fine.. left about 30 mins later whiter than a ghost & Clammy...and since then has been in bed!! Hardly eating as well. Poor guy

Hope he feels better!

Someone in my town snapped a shot of what looks like a funnel cloud from the storm last night.. we walked around looking at the damage. Many, many LARGE uprooted trees. I think 2 hit homes, but thankfully no one was hurt. No answer yet if it was a tornado, though... It really freaked me out! I have an irrational fear of tornadoes, which is odd because I live in Pennsylvania, so it scared me!

by the way, after seeing that movie "Tornado Alley" and how powerful they are, your fear is not irrational!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm in a hurry, late for getting ready for church.

And old firnd married a girl from Ireland and the had a son the same age as my son. They later divorced, with the wife & son moving to England. The son, Joshua, is visting his Grandmother in Chrleston and they came to visit for the weekend. He has wanted to fish and shoot a gun since he doesn't get to do those things back home (his dad lives in the US). We've worked this weekend on gun safety, and plinking with a .22 rifle. He also caught several fish. He's having a great time, except for the gnats...LOL!

Good evening, everyone!

Another beautiful day in Ottawa. Kim and I went to the Museum of Nature. Surprisingly, it was rather boring. Too bad. Otherwise, it has been a pretty fun day! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, especially the long weekend - at least it is in Canada/Ontario. Sorry to my American friends.

Tonight appears to be a movie night. We've already watched The Wedding Singer - one of our favourites. Now, we are watching Back To The Future Part 3! Good times. Less than a week until 100 Days Until The Christmas Season?! Oh, the excitement!

Well I can't seem to find anyone who wants to spend $100 to go sit in the heat all day tomorrow. I can't say that I blame them. You can sit at home and actually see the whole race on tv for free or you can spend the money to go and see a small part of the track. So it looks like I'll be sticking to my original game plan and staying home.

I too would rather watch it on TV than out in the heat, but then I am not a fan of extreme summer heat.

Hey guys/gals! hope everyone is having a great weekend...I am homesick somewhat today,I sliced my hand open earlier today,***gasp*** not on a grenade or a landmine,but of all things tryin to open a corned beef hash tin can..but the good news is August is almost here! one month closer to the season! take care Christmas friends!

I forgot to add that I am planning to go to west virginia for my 37th birthday(first week of december) to go snow boarding. It is always a tradition for me to go mountain climbing on my birthday but I will settle for playing in the snow..the only thing I worry about is them opening late again this year due to lack of snowfall...**crossing my fingers**

corned beef hash can eh? Now to figure out how to make that into a great the hero got injured in the line of duty story!

Snowboarding sounds so nice and cool...lets remember that in January during one of those snowstorms that come up that time of the year!

Hardly eating as well. Poor guy I later went back to wally world to pick up the rest of the goods we were going to buy earlier on. Im hoping he feels better for tomorrows bday bbq my grandparents are throwing for myself, cousin, aunt & papa hahaha ( tons of bdays in july!!)

Onto a little..happier news, I got another tattoo today.. Usually I don't get so many in this little amount of time, but they were both Birthday presents Todays Tattoo, Is behind my Left ear.. AND.. It's a Sanrio Character called chococat... but the best part is.. he's wearing a Santa hat!! Everyone i've shown says it matches me well because of how much I love christmas. This picture is the exact one i got behind my ear.. Just the little kitties head and the hat though.. if I had added the body on it would have been too big for my liking.. but needless to say I LOVE it!! and so far so do all my friends!! haha

Hope your boyfriend feels better quickly.

Good morning, MMC!

I am really tired and I slept great - maybe I got too much sleep, if there is such a thing I spent most of the evening reading - over halfway through the book I started. There are some yummy recipes in there. Good thing it is too hot to use the oven or I would have been up all night baking. While I was reading, Mouse discovered a new toy - the drawstring on my pants. Good thing it is decorative. She was in such a playful mood last night and it carried over to this morning - I love it when she is so happy and peppy!!

Later on today I might be going out to lunch and a movie with a friend who is celebrating her birthday today. Should be fun. If I don't go out, I will be spending a quiet day at home with the fur kids.

I think I had mentioned that I've been suffering from insomnia over the past week. Well...after getting only 3.5-4 hours sleep Friday night and playing golf yesterday...I fell asleep on the couch before 8pm and slept for 9.5 hours last night! WOW! That is totally unheard of for me. I really did need it.

So - this morning I was able to get up and go for my run, and I'm sooooooo happy I did!

I'm a little bit headachy this morning though - so I think I might have to take a pill and take it easy for a little while, although I want to do sooooooo much!

More hard rain here yesterday to help alleviate the drought.
We topped out once again at triple digits (an even 100) but today the weather service says our high will only be 90.
(Back in the early spring I would have felt that was hot. Now it sounds delightful!)

Good morning Christmas family !!

Today I have to "shift gears" and instead of working nights work afternoons......3 to 11 EST. It should be okay......I worked at the hospital I was at for 8-1/2 years on afternoons.

The only thing and the one obstacle is that I can't stand this group of docs. I know you will probably think I am nuts but for some reason this company's clients are just not "fitting" well. When I was at my other job it fit like a glove...........I knew what I had to do and each day I got on and did it.........I got to know the dictators better and the whole thing just fit better by the time I was five months in at my old job I was well settled in and "comfortable" Not so with this company. I dread truly each time I have to work for fear of what I am going to get............Even though this is a much BETTER company I just dont think it is for me...........does that make any sense ????

I will let you know what transpires............Meanwhile, I began notifying some folks today about the ornament echange and who their partners are. As it is only 10:33 a.m EST I think I am going to try and get a couple more winks..........I have been on such an eating binge lately because of emotions............So far my weight is at its baseline 90 lb mark. But I am sure all this eating is going to have an effect........

CM3, you'll doom yourself with negativity like that. Try, try to put the test results out of your mind---they have no bearing on your current job, you've GOT that---and put your energy into doing your level best at what you're currently doing. You're thinking like you're licked before you start, and if you do ... you're licked. Remember, you had trouble with Dr. Garbanzo Bean and the others when you started the night shift, but you stuck to it and got familiar with them and did all right. Dig in, strangle the negativity, focus on doing a good job, and remember that we're all behind you thinking "success." Go forth and kick some ... er, git 'er done.

If the test results continue to bother you---is there anywhere you can get hold of some test recordings so you can practice with so you can up your score?
