My pot of coffee is almost gone and I am still yawning quite a bit.

While waiting for files to download, I got my floors swept and mopped - yay! Cutting coupons now - these files are taking a long time today - could be the weather. It is getting a bit cloudy out and I was cut off several times while talking to a friend who has, I think, cable phone. Don't quote me on that, I always get the technical aspects mixed up unless I write them down cheesy

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had our city council meeting last night. This is our mayor's last year, and he wants me to run for mayor. That's all I need; another job. Still, I'm considering it. I've spoken with the other councilmen, and they say they aren't interested, so I might give it a shot.

Mayor Bradmac. It has a snazzy ring, don't you think? LOL! I'll have to think about it, and I have to talk to the county elections manager to see what's involved that I may not know about. My sister-in-law says she'll run for my vacated council seat if I do this, and we both are interested in city beautification. It might work. We'll see.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is already starting to warm up here. I am going in early today to work in both my classrooms. The "new" room I am going into looks so organized, while the other one looks awful! I have to make so many decisions on what to keep, what to give away, and what to throw away. You would think it would be easy, but, trust me, it isn't! I hope all of y'all have a great day. I have PT today at 4:45 so I might not be able to get on this evening. In that case, have a great evening, too!

You are a better man than me. Hopefully the small town politics aren't as bad in your town as they are here. I would never consider running for public office here.

Now UNDER half a week to the 100-day Season Milestone.

I'm drinking chocolate coffee from Cracker Barrel - a present from cousin. It is yummy and I am starting to feel alive - yay!

I will have to look for it the next time I go to cracker barrel. It sounds great.

I was just wondering what happened to the countdown that is suppose to be on here... I know it's only like 144 days..without counting august it's only 4 more months left

Hot!!!! It will be 108 today and 109 tomorrow.

I saw on the news that it looks like at least a couple more weeks of heat for your area. I'll be praying that they are wrong and this heat wave comes to an end soon.

There's a little of that here, but not too bad. Our town really is just a small community. The city limits is only one mile square...LOL! But we've been able to keep our town as the "pretty" area in the county. Some of us have formed a beautification group. We have fund raisers and bought Christmas banners and lighted decorations for our Main St. We're ordering our new fall banners soon.

It's a pretty nice little town. I hope, if I decide to do this, it doesn't sour my optimism for our town.

There's a continuously counting Christmas Day clock in the upper right of each page, and Crown updates us every morning with a daily countdown to the start of the season, too.
