Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! Today is day 17 of our 90 degree heat wave. Only 2 more days to break the record and it looks like we will break the record high for today while were at it. I have been watching the news this morning and I get freaked out every time I see the video of the snake on the car windshield. I have my normal cleaning to do today and then I plan on spending some time working on my Christmas notebook. I may even start my Christmas cards. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you! Politics in our city is laughable! Living in a big city there is constant bickering among all politicians and it headlines our news everyday. I have sent some video clips to Brad regarding some of the stupidity that goes on here. I think it shocked him. :lol:

Brad is too nice of a guy to ever be involved in a city like ours. I think he will do fantastic as mayor where he lives!

We had our city council meeting last night. This is our mayor's last year, and he wants me to run for mayor. That's all I need; another job. Still, I'm considering it. I've spoken with the other councilmen, and they say they aren't interested, so I might give it a shot.

Mayor Bradmac. It has a snazzy ring, don't you think? LOL! I'll have to think about it, and I have to talk to the county elections manager to see what's involved that I may not know about. My sister-in-law says she'll run for my vacated council seat if I do this, and we both are interested in city beautification. It might work. We'll see.

Ours is a small town also, (we have only 6,000 full-time residents in the whole county), but the politics are terrible.
 
Good afternoon Christmas family!

Its another warm day outside. Maybe if I send a letter to Santa he will send us some cooler weather? Its worth a try! LOL. I'm ready for Pineday tomorrow. It cant come sooner! Ill be there tonight before midnight having a drink with Carl! Might watch a Christmas movie tonight. I'm thinking Home Alone 1. Awesome soundtrack. Or Santa Claus 1. Or A Christmas Story...oh...no....not enough time! Someone please loan me some extra hours lol. Time to get back to work. Have a great day all!
 
Mayor Bradmac, wow! That'dbe pretty exciting!

My good friend's husband is our Borough Council President and I must say, even for a small town like mine, it's a lot of drama! It surprises me how nutty people can get with politics, but you're a good guy so more power to ya! :)
 
Hey Christmas gang.. I've been MIA for a few days... lady I work with got fired and now Im back to working 5 days a week. It will be nice having the extra money but I will really miss having off Wednesdays with my Boys :-?. I have mixed feelings but am grateful I have a job in this economy. Anyway we are going to try to hire someone new but we will have to train them.. maybe after a few months I will get to go back to having off on Wednesdays. Only time will tell.. Im off to try to check up on some of these posts!

Oh....I know what you mean. I enjoy reading - but most times I get so sleepy that I am only able to read for 15-20 minutes tops!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I finished work on time - yay! Of course, I started quite early in order to do so - lol. I'm trying to qualify for the editing jobs - took a test earlier today. I haven't heard back as of yet, but I'm hoping I passed - I was an English major, after all. It will be quite embarrassing if I don't pass - I will just have to blame it on lack of sleep and the slow internet. Do you think that will work? :grin:

I never thought much of tornadoes here and we are still smarting from that hit us on June 1. We are all so sensitive to weather reports around here now, to the point where we had a tornado warning last week and we went to the basement to wait it out. I have a photo album here on my information page of the destruction and I wrote a blog post on the feelings I felt after it hit. I can say it is not irrational to be fearful of them.

Oh Xmas...I just read your blog (you will see my note). Thank you for sharing such a scary time for you and your family. It must have felt llike a nighmare. That's how I imagine it would be. I'm just so thankful that you and your family are okay!!! Although...I'm sure the memory of your ordeal may be a tough one to forget.
 
so Bronners was amazing!!! I could not get to every nook and cranny though as my 3 year old was somewhat hard go keep wrangled ;)

so almost the 100 day mark for the SEASON ....... :)
