What the heck, I'm so close!
I have a friend that I knew at church back in Maryland. I found out recently that he has Multiple Myeloma ( it is a cancer that affects the bone marrow). It is the same thing my father died of, my father was diagnosed on Thanksgiving day 1976 and he died on March 15th 1977. Knowing my father he waited too long before finally going to the doctor. Anyway my friend just posted on Facebook that he is responding well to the meds, and his markers are down by 50%. So that was great to know.
I have know Dave (that's his name) for about 30 years, he is a great guy, and a very strong and faithful Christian. When I first became a Christian, he took me under his wing and helped me learn with lots of one on one Bible study. I would appreciate any prayers for Dave, if you don't mind.

99 days til the season (which I have an alarm set for in my phone) and 6,000 posts to me!
Maybe 7,000 by Christmas!
I love the look of double digits!!!!!!!
I'm just thrilled that DH and I along with our two black lab puppies had our Christmas photo done today and already had the cards printed this evening in just 45 minutes at Walgreens. This is a major holiday milestone for me.
In the past our Christmas photo included the entire family and had become a nightmare for me with all the whining, complaining and fussing. This year we decided early on that we would do our own Christmas photos and shake things up a bit by going non-traditional.
We had the most beautiful spot picked out months ago of a cat tail lined swamp filled with old trees that had tons of moss hanging from it's weathered branches. The was at our local State Park and although it wasn't in front of the fireplace or Christmas tree we did have a small grouping of Christmas wrapped presents and giant ornaments. It was taken during a perfect Louisiana sunset. I'm actually excited about addressing Christmas cards. LOL
Good morning, Christmas family. I don't know how long I have on here but I wanted to at least let you know I am still alive !! Made suggested I try a proxy server and as a very last resort I did and guess what ? Here I am. I don't know what this means. If anyone knows why I can get on with a proxy server instead of regular please let me know via Facebook. Also, any computer techs out there...........We noted last evening that when we go directly from the modem to the computer there is NO CONNECTION. However, when we go through the router THER IS a connection. We were always able to plug directly in from the modem to the computer before and connect. I am thinking the modem is needing replaced ?? Thank you to Made, Jeff, and Rockchild for all your help. I am planning on getting a new modem from the cable company Monday. I still don't get why I can get on with a proxy server ??!!Thank you Christmas family. I have missed you !!! Please again, let me know any thoughts you may have on Facebook I hope all are well xo

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! We are entering day 21 of our heat wave here in central Indy. The projected high for today is 91 but at least there is a 50 percent chance of storms. I am going shopping for school supplies this morning. My sister is still having chest pains so she hasn't had a chance to go get my nieces the stuff they need yet. So I am going to run into target this morning and pick up the basics for them. Then it will be time to come home and hopefully enjoy the rain. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
