Good evening, Christmas family. We found out what is wrong with Ivy. The poor little thing has patellar luxation or subluxation i.e., her kneecap has slipped out of place !

The doc said to give her pain meds for a couple of weeks and see how she is. I don't think it is going to go that long. She is in pain and if there is surgery to correct it I want it NOW. I mean, we all know how it hurts us when anything happens to our kneecaps..........I guess this can be a common problem in older Chihuahuas.

Wish is going for an EKG which is no big deal, unless something bad shows up. I just hope there is something that is seen that is not too bad and then his meds can be switched.

I just got done working. I am so tired.

Poor Ivy has been hopping through the house all day on three legs. I feel so bad for her and yes, If I could change places with her I would.

I included a couple of photos of my babies which I am sure you have already seen. The bottom one is Clancy (Rhodesian Ridgeback) with Wish (little black Dachshund/Min Pin mix) looking innocently out the window one Fall day when Wish was still young.......Yuo can click them to see them bigger if you want xo

Have a good night Christmas family xo

I hope all goes well for your family!

Ok... anyone want to tell the newbie what "Pinesday" is??? LOL I feel like I'm missing out on something cool! LOL
Check out the link at the bottom of my signature. It should help you understand our cryptic references to the Pines!
It has been ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL here in Georgia! THe weather just decided it was done with the three months of unrelenting mid 90s and just in one day dropped to the 70s. :) I know we will have plenty of hot days still, but I am enjoying this break SO much. We got 5" of rain the other day, and I was at the bank yesterday and actually heard someone complaining about how we've had enough of the rain... I was like. "excuse me, but it hasn't rained here in FOREVER!!!" LOL Well, that's what I was thinking, I actually didn't say anything... I just smiled and walked back outside in the rain and enjoyed the feel of it on my face and smiled again.
I agree, it's wonderful here, too! I'm down near Statesboro, btw.
Well, time to go make some sausage biscuits for breakfast. :)
I'll be right over!

The doc may want to see if the kneecap will go back to its proper place on its own before jumping into surgery. In any case, I hope Ivy is soon more comfortable and that the EKG gives you some data to work with on Wishie.

What Bradmac said---the backstory is here.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It's going to be another cool day here in central Indy. I love it!!! The only problem is I'm coming down with a cold. I knew it would happen when I saw that we were going to drop 30 degrees in 1 day. Oh well. I'll deal with it to get the cooler temps. I have some errands to run today and then I also plan to spend some time watching Paula Deen on QVC. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, Mid-Week Pines Anticipators!

.....Day 7 of September tomorrow, this month is already starting to flying by.....

Indeed!
Hard to believe we are nearly a full week into September.
Can the start of Christmas Season 2011 really be that far behind?
Well, let's check:
Days to the Season: 67
Days to Christmas Day: 109
And there you have it - single digits to double-double digits.
A mere 9 days until the 100-day window opens on our journey to Christmas.

Overcast here this morning after a hard rain with lightning yesterday afternoon.
For a time we were under a tornado watch and a couple of the adjoining counties had tornado warnings. Not much materialized, however.

OK, Friends!
To the 'Pines!
Undrtakr mentioned Carl had whipped up some eggs and bacon. He also mentioned coffee blends.
Surely Carl wouldn't.....
Or WOULD he??
(Only Carl and Binger know for sure.)

Well, whether or not you visit the Shispering P today, you have a Wonderful Wednesday/Happy Hump Day!
Keep that Christmas light burning and may the spirit of the Season be your guide.

Wow, I feel like an "insider" now! Thank you, Bradmac and MerryCarey. LOL I wonder how many other newbies know that story? LOL

Bradmac, I'll keep them in the oven warming for you. :)

I have to get a cool signature like some of you have... Hmmmmm

Good luck, my sister was here with her 2 year old and 9 month old last month, have the aspirin, or wine ready when they fall asleep at night.

Yeah I'd go with the wine too!!!

I can imagine your pain. The chiropractor helped me with my back pain...she lightened my wallet!

HA, HA, HA that reminds me of the Sinfeld (SP ???) one where George has that HUGE wallet!!!! And Jerry has the man-purse!!! 8-)

This sounds like a wonderful project. What a great job you do! Don't forget that Gene Autry did not want to record the song at first, but his wife persuaded him. Good luck!

I also had ordered the sequels that were written - I had no idea until I started to do some research a few years ago that even the original story was not the same as the actual song, thanks I will have to look into this I did not know his wife persuaded him!!! Does anyone know some other cool info please pass it along!!!!

Good afternoon, everyone. School went well today. The kids worked hard and so did I. Just think, it's a four day week! Hooray! Homemade chicken noodle soup is on the menu for tonight. Mmmmm! I have some work to do to get the kiddos ready for groupwork. I think they will enjoy it when we get started. Everybody get well, stay well, and have a great evening!

I love, love, love homemade chicken soup!!! Hope you enjoyed - does chicken soup travel well from the west coast to the east!!!! Tee Hee!!!

Hello, wonderful Christmas friends!

I am updating from lovely Jacksonville, Florida, on what is unfortunately my last full day of vacation! We've been in the south since last Wednesday and while this trip has been great, we are semi-ready to be back home with our furbabies and in our own bed!

My best friend's wedding went well, once it actually started. The days leading up to it were awful, to be honest...and I hate saying that as she's my BFF and I was her MOH, but...well, Travis and I never want to go through what they went through. We will NOT wait until the last minute at ALL!! But once everything started, it was great. My MOH speech was awesome (as was the best man's), and everyone had a good time. :)

Since Sunday, we've been staying with some of my friends from college, and it's been soooo relaxing and fun! We are very sad to leave tomorrow, and not looking forward to the 18 hour train ride back (the 18 hour train ride down was awesome until we tried to go to sleep...owwwww!).

Haven't had a chance to read in almost two weeks, so I hope everyone is doing well!

So glad you had a good time and enjoyed!!! Weddings can be stressful, but a lot of fun too!!!:#

I hope your babies feel better quickly, there is nothing worse than your pets/kids being in pain and you being unable to sooth it.

Good morning my WONDERFUL Christmas family !

Thank you, thank you all SO MUCH for caring about my furkids. It means so much to know you all understand. I was dreading the morning because Ivy was in such pain last night but when she and her dad came down the hall to the living room this morning she was walking fine !!

I could not believe my eyes. I worried about her all night. Of course, you all know me, as soon as I saw her walking okay I got all teary eyed and had to thank God. She is not out of the woods but at least I know that if she rests the knee, it will help it. Today she is in bed and I am going to try and keep her resting until it is absolutelly necessary to her to get up !!

Wish goes for his EKG tomorrow and I will let you know if it shows anything. My asthma has calmed but I knew it would. It was just really exacerbated becuse of stress (which is how it started in the first place 34 years ago).

Other than that, all is good. My sister is planning on coming down for my soon to be birthday on which I will still be 32 but with 25 years experience !! I have less of Dr. Garbanzo Bean to listen since I switched to afternoons and that is a GOOD thing

You are all so amazing xox BIG CHRISTMAS (((((HUGS)))) for all xo

Well, I added a signature... I'll have to see about making a neat picture to go with it.

Caninemom3, I'm so sorry to hear you have an ailing fur-kid. :( Hope she gets better very soon.

ADDED: Wow, just read your post above mine. I'm glad she's doing better! :) Hope you have a blessed day! :)

Good morning,

Kids are at school, and preschool. I am just relaxing before work by listening to MCR and eating some of the leftover turkey, and with it being so chilly today I really am yearning for the season to be here. It is the first time I am wearing jeans since I think early May. Enjoy the day!

Ok let me retry this since it didnt work last night and i dunno why.

THANKS to all who sent well wishes for me and thanks to all those praying for my MIL.

SOrry about the sick and ailing family members.

Sorry to hear about the sick furbabies too.

Weather here has improved since yesterday. It is sunny but looks like it is going to be another muggy sweltering day. BLAH.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is supposed to be another hot one again today. The soup was so good last night, lots of chicken and noodles. Leftovers are for lunch!

CM3, I am so glad to hear about Ivy getting better!!! Yeah! Please keep us posted on Wish. Good "wishes" are coming your way! Glad, too, that you don't have to listen to Dr. Garbanzo Bean!

Have a great day everyone. I am headed out to Christmas Troll's house before I go into work!!!
