Wow, I feel like an "insider" now! Thank you, Bradmac and MerryCarey. LOL I wonder how many other newbies know that story? LOL

Bradmac, I'll keep them in the oven warming for you. :)

I have to get a cool signature like some of you have... Hmmmmm

I LOVE YOUR SIGNATURE!!!! Great choice!!!:busy:

I hope your babies feel better quickly, there is nothing worse than your pets/kids being in pain and you being unable to sooth it.

That is so right....

Thanks! :) One of my very favorite lines from that book... which also happens to be my very favorite Christmas book. :)

Right it really is so awesome, I often wonder why when they remake this movie they never add in the part when he goes to his ex's house & see her with her family. But, I have to admit I love surprising people with that part!!!

Also, I cannot remember who here told me about a book called the Christmas Angel (It could have been MerryCarry) but there is a link somewhere on MMC, it is such a beautiful story in fact we are doing it this year at church instead of the normal Baby Jesus story, we though this might catch a few members off guard and keep them awake!!! Shhh, I didn't say that did I - tee hee...

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a hectic morning, for sure. My mother-in-law is having back surgery as we speak, so the whole family is at the hospital. I was left to get all the family kids to school and run Bernie's store till the part time girls came in at 10:30. Then the health insurance company here at work sent nurses to collect blood samples this morning. If you didn't get your blood drawn, your insurance went up. So, after a bunch of running around, and two needle-sticks later, it's almost lunchtime. Whew.

Please remember Nancy's mom, Mrs. Hilda, with a prayer or a kind thought this morning.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good evening, Christmas family. We found out what is wrong with Ivy. The poor little thing has patellar luxation or subluxation i.e., her kneecap has slipped out of place !

The doc said to give her pain meds for a couple of weeks and see how she is. I don't think it is going to go that long. She is in pain and if there is surgery to correct it I want it NOW. I mean, we all know how it hurts us when anything happens to our kneecaps..........I guess this can be a common problem in older Chihuahuas.

Wish is going for an EKG which is no big deal, unless something bad shows up. I just hope there is something that is seen that is not too bad and then his meds can be switched.

I just got done working. I am so tired.

Poor Ivy has been hopping through the house all day on three legs. I feel so bad for her and yes, If I could change places with her I would.

I included a couple of photos of my babies which I am sure you have already seen. The bottom one is Clancy (Rhodesian Ridgeback) with Wish (little black Dachshund/Min Pin mix) looking innocently out the window one Fall day when Wish was still young.......Yuo can click them to see them bigger if you want xo

Have a good night Christmas family xo

CM3: Love the pics of the dogs. Thank you for sharing. I am so glad you found out with Ivy. I know you want the surgery, but hopefully the meds will work. I guess all you can do is hope and pray that it will for the next two weeks. Good luck with Wish's EKG. Keep us updated! Xoxo

off to London this morning. One daughter needs her passport, the other one needs her baked goods.
It is so chilly here, considering turning on the heat for awhile!

Have safe travels!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It's going to be another cool day here in central Indy. I love it!!! The only problem is I'm coming down with a cold. I knew it would happen when I saw that we were going to drop 30 degrees in 1 day. Oh well. I'll deal with it to get the cooler temps. I have some errands to run today and then I also plan to spend some time watching Paula Deen on QVC. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you feel better soon, Made! Drink some hot tea and eat some chicken noodle soup while watching Paula!

Good morning my WONDERFUL Christmas family !

Thank you, thank you all SO MUCH for caring about my furkids. It means so much to know you all understand. I was dreading the morning because Ivy was in such pain last night but when she and her dad came down the hall to the living room this morning she was walking fine !!

I could not believe my eyes. I worried about her all night. Of course, you all know me, as soon as I saw her walking okay I got all teary eyed and had to thank God. She is not out of the woods but at least I know that if she rests the knee, it will help it. Today she is in bed and I am going to try and keep her resting until it is absolutelly necessary to her to get up !!

Wish goes for his EKG tomorrow and I will let you know if it shows anything. My asthma has calmed but I knew it would. It was just really exacerbated becuse of stress (which is how it started in the first place 34 years ago).

Other than that, all is good. My sister is planning on coming down for my soon to be birthday on which I will still be 32 but with 25 years experience !! I have less of Dr. Garbanzo Bean to listen since I switched to afternoons and that is a GOOD thing

You are all so amazing xox BIG CHRISTMAS (((((HUGS)))) for all xo

She is in our prayers.

Good morning MMC family! We're going to go to the fair. It looks like it's supposed to not rain for most of the afternoon, which is a shock! After that, I have to do some shopping to try to find a dress for a wedding we're going to in Pittsburgh this weekend. Should be a fun day for my daughter! Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon, everyone! It's been raining like it's the deluge all day here, and I think we're going to have to swim home; the parking lot is one solid sheet of water. The sky has been very dark all day, and it's just all around sleepy weather. I think a trip to Starbuck's is in order, to see if the fall coffee treats are available. Gosh, anything for some caffeine right now!

It was me---the article is here. Are you REALLY going to perform that at church? I want to hear more about that, and how it goes over, and photos or video! The story would make SUCH a good play, movie, or radio play, I'm surprised and disappointed that I've never seen an adaptation of it. Please keep me posted!
