Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be cooler here today in central Indy with some scattered rain showers. I am pretty exhausted. I couldn't sleep last night and it seemed as soon as I went to sleep my niece was yelling at me to get up. My sister just picked her up though so maybe I can squeeze a nap in before I head to the pines. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought Mr. had to work late tonight, but they called it off at the last minute---so he'll be home shortly!

YES!! Seawaters must do a crockpot cookbook when she retires so we can make at home the dishes we've been salivating over!

Britt, just tell 'em you want to confirm what time your interview is on Thursday ... that isn't pestering them, it shows them you're interested and want to be on time.

Oh yeah that is an awesome idea, make all those yummy dishes!!!!

I agree Britt, as long as you keep the lines of communication open they keep you in their thoughts when making the decision! I haven't read thru all the posts yet but I will be hoping for only good news!

Happy 18th! :) The tattoo thing... just be very sure! I wish I could give you one of mine. LOL
I was positive I wanted them at one time in my life. Now I hate them. I'm not trying to scare you or talk you out of a tattoo, I just hope you put a lot more thought into getting one than I ever did. :)

HAPPY 18th SA!!!

OK, I too like CT have tattoos... But, I LOVE mine, I got one at 18 and another at 21, I wouldn't change them for anything. But, yup another but... I got mine where you could only see them in in public situations in a bathing suit. I did think about it long and hard, and I knew I wanted them but I also knew that I would be working in places that it may not look right or effect me getting a position I wanted, I can see them whenever I want I didn't get them for the world to see I got them because I wanted them, so my sage advice at my rip old age of 40 would be to consider what you want in your future, I know it seems that a tattoo should not matter if I get a job or not but it does, and also consider why you want the tattoo, is it to show off or because you want it. Remember it is more painful to remove the tattoo then to get the tattoo, it also takes more then one session and can get expensive as a medical professional should be doing it. I still to this day love mine, I can wear any outfit in any situation and still feel good that it doesn't show when I don't want it too, but does when I do want it too. I am not trying to turn you against the tattoo, just be sure it is what you want that is all I can say. Good luck!!!!:))

sugar - i remember colic well! it's hard going isn't it? but your little one will soon grow out of it. i hope the little mite is better soon.

good morning MMC'ers! dull day in northern england, looks like it is going to rain.... i'm heading to the shops with my daughter to have a look at the halloween stuff today!

have a great day everyone.

Thanks! I feel so bad for him, but there is really not a whole lot to do for colic, but like you said to let them grow out of it. I work night shift though, so I feel REALLY bad for my husband who will have to deal with it by himself when I go back to work in 2 weeks.

Have fun shopping with your daughter today!

Sorry to hear that Brad. My mother has had an ongoing 10 year fight, involving multiple surgeries, with colon cancer. We have seen the power of prayer and a fighting spirit. We will continue to pray for your brother's girlfriend.
I am glad to hear your mother is fighting the battle of cancer and winning! I will pray she continues to win the battle!

Thanks for all the prayers and kind words for my brother's girlfriend.

She had both breasts removed yesterday, and, unfortunately, they found more cancer in her lymph nodes. They are planned to start agressive chemo and radiation in a couple weeks. She's in great spirits, and she's ready to fight. Good for her!
AM sorry to hear that. my mum had to have that done when she was 34 but she let it go to far because of fear

I do beleive in prayers. my mum at the time and now myself and i have had the proof .I pray to the little flower and she will answer you
My best friend had stomach cancer and i prayed and prayed to the little flower and one day i was on my way home from seeing her and i can smell the smell of roses. i though my perfume in my bag had opened but it had,nt.
Unfortunataly for her it was the wrong answer.

And the sacred heart is very strong to pray to.
Over the years i have prayed to them 2 and thank god they always seem to lead me down the right road and am not a real holly person

To those who are potty training little ones: Potty Training Boot Camp was the only thing that worked for us. DD was 3 3/4 years old, not interested in potty training at all, & I was tired of buying Pull-ups & wipes!

I took a vacation day on a Friday & kept DD out of daycare for the day. DD wore only a t-shirt & socks. Otherwise, she would sit in the floor & play in her wet underwear. She would not sit on the floor with no underwear on! I took her to the bathroom first thing that morning. Every 20 minutes, all day long, we went to the bathroom whether she needed to go or not. We did this all weekend, and she was able to make it to church & back on Sunday without an accident. She had no accidents all weekend. She had a few accidents at daycare for a few weeks, but it really was not a problem. If we hadn't done that, I was convinced that she would go to college in a diaper...

To those with loved ones fighting cancer, my prayers are with you. MIL is a breast cancer survivor.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom, too. Cancer is a terrible thing. Hopefully the Lord will cleanse them both of this awful disease!

Good evening, MMC! Hope everyone had a great day and weekend! Finally caught up the forums today, so I will write how my last couple of days have been. I know this will probably sound like a book, so sorry!

The wedding we went to this weekend was a blast. A lot of the people that were in the wedding party were people my husband and I have been friends with most of our lives and they're some of best friends as well. It's been hard to get to spend time with them however, because we all have busy lives now. It was so nice to just have that time together and get away for a few days. My husband and I then Sunday went to a Pirates game too. They lost, but it was still a fun time.

As for yesterday, we took my 2 month old son, Dylan, to the Peds doctor. It was his regular check-up, but he has been having ongoing issues for about a month with spitting up with every feeding and inbetween. A few times a week, it's so bad that he projectiles his spitting. When I talked to a nurse from the practice last week, she told me that she thought it was a mixture of his formula and that he had acid refulx. They had me change his formula and take lots of precautions while feeding him. Needless to say, that didn't work. When we had him at the doctor's yesterday, she now decided that he could go back to his formula he was on, but it would thickened and he would now also need to be on medicine for his acid reflux. So far since yesterday, he's only spit up once. Thank the Lord! While he was there too, she diagnosed him with colic because from 10-12 am every night, he has the signs of colic and he is just miserable. I had also thought a few weeks back I felt an umbilical hernia on him, which the doctor confirmed that he had one. It should go away on it's on (hopefully - they usually do). I am just thankful that this is all that is wrong with him. It could be much worse - I thank God everyday I have otherwise healthy children.

Well, I've basically wrote a book. I'll just say for today we starting decorating for fall. I'm so excited. The season is getting closer. Hope everyone had a great day. Good night and "talk" to you all tomorrow!

:wiggy:

Sugar I am glad you had a wonderful time at the wedding and the game.

I wish I had some words of wisdom for you on your little one, but I have no experience with babies, but I will be hoping that as you say these are the only minor things that come up and he stays on the road of health. I'll be thinking about you, wishing you the best.

Not the news anybody was hoping to hear. All the best to your brother's girlfriend. Her courage and great spirits should do wonders for this fight!

Completely agree!!! And truer words were never spoken, all I can say is this...

LAUGH, a lot, and often - it works, when she is down and she will be at times, try getting her to laugh, it won't always be easy but trust me it is needed. When my Nana passed and it was from that ugly word, she told me to make her laugh, it made her better, it made the pain lift for a second and that was all she needed to keep fighting. I will light a candle tonight at church we have our meeting to night on the Christmas Angel so we will dedicate a special pray to her and send our best.

My oldest son JP, had colic. It was a tough time when he was just crying uncontrollably and nothing you could do would cheer him up. He was finally diagnosed with colic, and prescribed a formula called Nutramigen (sp) and he was a new baby after that. If there was something that could stop his screaming now, we would be grateful. cheesy

My thoughts are with her and her's and your family

Bradmac: I will keep her in my prayers - like everyone else has been commenting, a fighting spirit and hope will do wonders!

MrGramsey: I will keep your mother in my prayers!

Shellie12: I, too, pray to the Little Flower. When she answers a prayer, the smell of roses is overpowering!

Christmasstar: Eloquent post that covers it all - well said!

Lauriebear: Laughter has got to be one of the best medicines there is - I'm glad you posted about it!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I forgot to Multiquote so if I have forgotten anyone, I apologize!
Cooler day here today - I am going to venture upstairs and work on store stock that is in storage - and look for my fall decorations, too. Wish me luck, it is a mess up there!

Have a Wonderfully Merry Wednesday!!!!!!!

Good afternoon,

I am home sick today, I woke up with such pain & pressure behind my eyes, and just a rather sick feeling. I called out and got the kids off to school and preschool, which was so painful without any energy. I went to the drug store and bought Nyquil and Dayquil, took Nyquil and passed out on the couch while watching Home Alone. I will be taking it easy the rest of the day.

Have a good day.
